I recently purchased the Player Plus Nashville in Butterscotch Blond. The quality of this guitar is outstanding. The number of sounds you can get from it is amazing. There is absolutely no reason to buy the expensive American made models. This guitar is a great value. I highly recommend it. Purchased from Sweetwater.
This is the guitar that makes most other electrics unnecessary. It has such a wide tone pallet and plays so well. Leaves me wondering if Fender will discontinue them because they make buying most of the higher end models hard to justify. Greg Koch said it best - after the apocalypse, the only things that will have survived are cockroaches and telecasters.
So my thoughts on the telecaster always go to Keith Richards after he whacked that fan who was running on stage toward Mick Jagger during “satisfaction” he took it off, slayed the fan in one swing, put it back on and it was still in tune… a pretty good ad for the tele!
i've been debating this vs the ultra tuxedo model on the right, and this finally sold me. it's almost as good at half the price, and you get the 3rd pickup. thanks.
Great stuff man!!! I got one a few days ago & I love it. Same one but with a tortoise pick guard. It had scratches on it but when I took a cloth to wipe it all down it looked almost perfect. These things feel like professional instruments for sure! Happy New Year 2025!!!
It'll be a dream come true if my first electric guitar is a nashville tele . Regardless of tht whoever wins this giveaway congrats and u r one lucky son of a gun
I’ve got one and it swiftly became my main guitar. Only criticism I have is the pickup selector knob fell off, so I pimped it with a chrome one. Everybody who has picked it up has remarked what a lovely guitar it is.
@@ShlomoNizin There’s certainly twang if you want it. Pulling the tone knob out brings in the neck pickup, so you can still have what would be the traditional Tele middle position. I’m not really a country player, but do use some Bond-style parts and it sounds fine to me.
@@ShlomoNizinit's definitely got twang. It's got the tele sound 100% I feel like the noiseless pups get looked at with a bias, I don't think they are bad at all or sound "thin or weak" like some say
Nice sound & versatile as you say. I'm also with you on the country of manufacture, which for the majority of products these days doesn't matter (food products being an obvious exception). As long as the standards are set in place and the products are produced with care, most people wouldn't know where a product is made without the label lol.
Question: as a relatively new guitarist I only have a Squire Tele and Squire Strat. Instead of buying a higher quality Tele and Stat as I'm getting better, why shouldn't I just get this one? I'm never going to be a pro and also don't want to spend a lot on collection. So his suggestion of adding this to a large collection is not attractive to me, unless I'm missing something here.
I'm planning to get one of these, but I plan to do something kind of crazy. I'm looking into putting an Air Norton S into the middle position. Totally different sound, probably the exact diametrical opposite of a Stratocaster. No idea how it will sound in one of these, it'll be a very whacky tone to get out of a telecaster. However, it will be one heck of a versatile guitar.
I have that same one except in cherry candy red but what ruins it is the Pau ferro fretboard even tho I got lucky as its a dark shade . That butterscotch gives me Bruce Springsteen vibes
Fabulous tele,I loved 90 % of the position s I think 2 sounded a bit thin but overall I rate it a 9.5/10.It's an awesome guitar for the price and I am in love with the Butterscotch and black guard. I will definitely consider buying one or better still win this one 😆 🤣 😂 😹 Great demo both clean and with gain.
What's your thoughts on Pau Ferro fingerboard rather than maple? Mine's PF and found it scratchy (not so bad after treatment) Granted mine came in substantially less than RRP but would tone be better?
Yep...I have (inexpensive,...at the time)...lower-end ... Strat & Tele..). Been looking, intently at those guitars like one you're giving away. Mike, it fills that missing ("between") sound and the "Nashville sound", which I play, mostly. LOVE the TONE of that guitar !!! And obviously, in your demo, it can "get it down", with some grunge and bite. Count me in, ... Entering for this one. Great demo... Sure you aren't gonna keep it? Maybe hide it (or camouflage it) from your wife? (your choice...THAT is really a great sounding guitar !!!)...
1 day before the giveaway for me... Hoping I win but if not, I want to congratulate the lucky winner and let everyone know that on the brightside, we get 50% off on the new course😂❤ In all seriousness, I hope this guitar can help form one of our next guitar legends and industry heroes. Good luck, everyone❤
Received one and it's definitely a "lemon"... Lots of tooling marks in the neck, dust everywhere, and more important, more noisy than my non-noiseless guitars! QC was probably on strike that day... Forgit to mention the pickups sound shrill like those on very cheap guitars from 10 years ago... Very disappointed but I'll exchange it for another one and give it a chance...
Oh, beans... I DON'T do Instagram OR Facebook... Good luck, everybody who DOES. (NOT signing up for those keeps my equipment less prone to attacks, phishing, etc , etc....), and I would never use 'em, anyway. I wish everyone else truly GOOD LUCK. Hope you win. That guitar is quite the prize...just not worth the risk (and nuisance/spam), for me.
I went to try one of these and was a bit disappointed in the quality, as a number of the fret edges were sharp, and the knob on the switch would just pop off with no effort at all when switching positions. Disappointing for a 1k guitar.
I have the exact same one. it really plays well, unfortunately I cracked mine the other day. :( Anyway, if you wanna give me that one 😅 I'll take it. LOL jk. on a serious note, it's not a cheaply made guitar even compared to American fenders

All the reviews I see about this guitar are quite consistent. Been thinking about buying one of these.
do it. I have the blue one. best guitar purchase i've ever made.

I Purchased this exact guitar. It is being delivered today! I cannot wait! I really enjoyed the review. Thank you!
The bridge pick-up has such a great tone, especially when played clean.
So my thoughts on the telecaster always go to Keith Richards after he whacked that fan who was running on stage toward Mick Jagger during “satisfaction” he took it off, slayed the fan in one swing, put it back on and it was still in tune… a pretty good ad for the tele!
Such a good review! Buying it scouse... love your reviews!❤
Have been eyeing one of those. Thanks for the review. It will help me.
You're welcome Paulo! :)
Watching from philippines 😍
I love playing guitar but my guitar is very old hope someday in my dreams i have that one💙
Sweet, l love the tele tones with added Strat twang. Thanks Mike
Could this be the Swiss Army knife of guitars?
I just got a 2024 Player plus Tele, it's very nice! Throughly impressed!
I love the bridge with the neck pickup tone!
What a beautiful guitar! Have completed all 4 steps! Thank you for the opportunity to win. I’d be over the moon to win for my daughter.
i've been debating this vs the ultra tuxedo model on the right, and this finally sold me. it's almost as good at half the price, and you get the 3rd pickup. thanks.
Sounds so nice and strong. It does so much.
done i did all steps i have an old and now broken squier strat this would be an amazing upgrade

I love it too!
It'll be a dream come true if my first electric guitar is a nashville tele . Regardless of tht whoever wins this giveaway congrats and u r one lucky son of a gun
Might as well have a strat??
I got a Japanese JD tele about 20 years ago now - that has the inbetween settings via the switch.
Just finished all the steps. Only have an acoustic right now and this would be an AMAZING first electric! Good luck, everyone.

Does it sounds like a regular tele on bridge/neck positions? What can you say about the silent pickups? I've heard it lacks twang and clarity

This is the one that takes care of both needs. I would get it!
Wow! Beautiful!
