This feline, a master of deception, stole and lied without remorse, enjoying his world of mischief. His mother, a wise cat, tried to guide him on the right path, always reminding him: "Your actions have consequences." Being very religious, she invited him to follow the teachings of Jesus, hoping that one day her son would understand them. But the mischievous cat, with a mocking smile and an indomitable heart, discredited his mother considering her dramatic and exaggerated. He believed himself invincible, convinced that he would always land on his feet, both literally and figuratively. For some time now, his greedy eyes had been watching an opulent house, whose inhabitants frequently entered with bags full of delicious food. So, he planned his grand heist, determined to sneak in during the quiet of the night through a window he knew they never closed properly. His mother, hearing of his plans, tried to dissuade him: "Don't get into trouble son. Jesus is watching you, and he sees everything you do." But as always, the cat ignored her advice. At midnight, driven by his insatiable greed, the cat slipped silently toward the house. He penetrated the darkness through the window with his heart pounding with excitement. Suddenly, a voice broke the silence: "Jesus is watching you!" The cat froze in fear and hid in the shadows. A few minutes passed, and nothing happened, so he continued his exploration, believing it had been a hallucination. But as he approached the kitchen, the voice was heard again: "Jesus is watching you!" Tired of the surprises, the cat decided to confront his mysterious stalker. He sharpened his eyes in the darkness and discovered a multicolored parrot watching him from its cage. Relieved, he approached with a mocking smile and said: "Ah, but what a scare you gave me, little bird! Tell me, what's your name? If you behave and don't make noise, I might not eat you." Despite the attempt at intimidation, the parrot calmly replied: "My name is Peter!" The cat couldn't contain his laughter: "How stupid your owners must be to give you a name like that! My mother would die laughing to see people giving biblical names to their pets." The parrot, unfazed, replied with a smile: "Yes, right! But it's not as funny as naming a dog Jesus!" Confused, the cat slowly turned and saw a large, imposing dog that had been silently watching him the whole time. With a frantic leap, the thieving cat began a desperate race to save his life, while the dog named Jesus chased him angrily. In that moment, as he ran like never before, the cat remembered his mother's warnings and finally understood them. From that night on, he never again tempted fate by doing bad things. He tried to follow the right path, understanding that his actions would always have consequences, and that ignoring his mother's wisdom could put him in grave danger. This story reminds us that, although we often think: "That won't happen to me," the consequences of our actions are always present. It is important to teach our loved ones that warnings are not exaggerations, but lessons to avoid unnecessary suffering. Life, unlike this story, is not always so forgiving when writing its pages, and not everyone has the same luck as the rogue cat.

Escuchando estas historias me doy cuenta de que no estoy tan mal en el inglés, pero también sé que me falta mucho por aprender pues entiendo el mensaje que se quiere transmitir, pero no entiendo palabra por palabra. Excelente querida Carmen!! Precisamente de eso se trata y esa es la manera en que se adquiere un idioma. No busques hacer traducciones literales de cada palabra.. ya que eso solo retrasará tu avance. Entiende el contexto de cada historia y permitiéndole a tu cerebro que asimile el patrón contenido en el Inglés. Irás viendo frases , palabras, expresiones que se repiten, y te irás familiarizando con las estructuras y el orden de las palabras. Vas por buen camino! Muy buena historia, pero siento que el audio tiene un efecto o el narrador como que altera la voz, no se si me doy a entender, no es claro, limpio siento que no habla normal es decir altera su voz y eso al principio no entiendo mucho cuando empieza el audio en esta historia y la otra de los dos soldiers, eso note que altera la voz. Saludos como siempre aprendiendo ingles con estas hermosas historias que nos enseñan el valor de apreciar las cosas.

Hola Liliana! No desesperes. Mi recomendación es que repases solo un par de semanas gramática muy básica en inglés. Nada del otro mundo, no es necesario atormentarte mucho con ella.. sabemos que es super tedioso. Luego de eso regresa a las historias o a cualquier contenido que sea de tu interés en inglés y siempre con subtítulos en inglés. Te garantizo que notarás avances. Paciencia y un fuerte abrazo!!
