This is probably a dumb question 🙈😅If you use an after-market waterproof spray/product on your leather bag or shoes, do you still need to condition the leather from time to time? Or does the spray truly protect the leather that it doesn't even need conditioning at all? It it is waterproof or water repellant, I can't fathom how it'll take in the conditioner? 🤔
The water protectant spray is not permanent and is helps the leather resist water, liquids, stains, and oils on the skin. It is not permanent and it doesn’t waterproof, only helps it resist. These sprays should be applied every 2-3 months. The best time to condition your leather is each time before you spray it.
Just look up leather protector spray. There are hundreds of brands on the market. What is available depends on your country. I use Saphir on my really expensive leather (it’s really pricy unfortunately) and Cadillac on my less expensive leather.
