When you screamed and ran I thought, a snake!! Sweet memories for your family. You bless me every day!
I’ll bet Laura wouldn’t react like that to seeing a snake. I could be wrong.
I thought there was a snake in the tree, also!
I absolutely thought it was a snake. Scary
Don't underestimate that table. It is a fine antique!! A bit of English wax and a nice glass cut to fit the entire table would solve the problem. The small fountain looks great there. Laura, you are such an impulsive buyer!! I can relate!! 😊🍂
11:38 I love that you included you getting wet by the sprinklers that gave me a good chuckle this morning. -Cara
Very cool little fountain, would you consider putting a sheet of plexiglass over that table to preserve it from further damage? You would still be able to enjoy the “patina” of the aged wood and it would be easy to clean
Or have a piece of tempered glass cut to fit exactly.
Or replace the table. It looks too big for the area.
Great idea 💡
And use distilled water in the fountain!😜
Good Idea!
oh my goodness! Did anyone else think Laura was getting attacked by bees when picking the nectarines? Glad it was just the sprinklers coming on! Lol. Envious of your garden space. Thank you for sharing with us
I thought her brother was spraying her with the hose,... as brothers do,.. even at that age, lol!!
I thought it was a rattlesnake. And the mom in me made me sit up real fast like I was gonna help somehow 🙄
I thought it was a snake!!!!

You remind me of my sister-in-law, green thumb and all, right down to your little fountain. I bet a lot of us know someone who has the enthusiasm and love for plants and beauty and they inspire us as you and Aaron do. On a different note, even though the table in the Hartley is showing signs of its prior use, it still has a beautiful grain. What if you put a piece of glass on it? The edges can be ground so you don’t have sharp corners (for the little ones), it makes the table even more accessible for whatever you put on it, yet the beauty of the wood still shines.
I watched an old "Q&A" of yours from 2018 today where you said that one of your dreams was to have a cut flower garden so you could cut any flowers you wanted and didn't have to worry about ruining the look of your garden plots. Also you wished for one of the beautiful greenhouses that you saw in England. Making your dreams come true! Thanks for sharing the journey.
We got to meet Joe ... ❤ seeing family members..
Laura, I have been a viewer for year's but I had a stroke (I have fully recovered by the grace of God.) So, I am playing catch-up. Binge watching has taken on a whole new meaning. 😉 With that said, I am SO THRILLED to see the progress of your endeavors! The Hartley is paradise! Ok, I need to continue catching up. I have SO missed living vicariously with you all. 🫂
Love!! So sweet to let the kiddos eat the berries at their height💞 This is what memories are made from💕
So nice to see your brother Joseph today! 🍑
Benjamin when the sprinklers turned on: "I'm trying to stop it!" How precious is that!!! He has a Beautiful Heart❤️
thank you for taking the time to set up the camera's and film so that we can feel part of your day. I know it is a lot of work and extra time but I and I know everyone is so grateful for all your time and hard work that you put into these videos.
We caught a glimpse of Laura’s brother Joe! Benjamin is a awesome kid. Love this video!
15:23 Such a cute fountain, the sound of water in the Hartley is so nice :)
“Hey Laura’s brother!” I don’t think I’ve ever seen him and I’ve been a fan of Garden Answer since you guys lived in your old house! Beautiful harvest and beautiful fountain! So unique! Fingers crossed you get those boxwoods in this fall🪴💚
Joe, Susan calls him Joseph. We've seen him a "little", like briefly at the Community College Campas and at Andrews.
Same.. even when Laura re-landscaped her brothers(and wife’s)yard with those huge boulders I’m pretty sure he wasn’t on that video Maybe he’s super camera shy!😊
Where was he? I missed that frame.
@@mariafolch8067 He was walking up The driveway with Benjamin and then he was also in the frame where the sprinklers went off🥰🤍✨
@@alw5101 🌾Thanks for the hint. I found him at 11:04. I had to replay it and heard her say: "my brother". I thought all along that was Aaron. 😏
I'm not really very emotional but when you said you were leaving a bunch of the lower branches of berries since they were eye-level of the kids, it was so sweet it made me tear up! 💜💜
Wonderful time spent this morning. That Benjamin is just the cutest.
Harvesting raspberries! On the small farm where I grew up, several of us kids would wrap belts around our waists, hooking the handle of an ice cream pail into the belt so that we could pick two-handed. We headed up to the small woods on the property and harvested for hours.
So cool, thanks for sharing! When I was little we went to the mountains to pick raspberries, alpine berries and all the rest but fruits would only make it in my mouth none in my bag😅 of course it was far away and maybe we would go 2 times during the summer....lol that's my excuse.

Oh that Benjamin! “How many have you eaten, Dude?” “None!” Lol, kid! Looked like that became his bowl to share with Samantha. Thanks for the smile to start the day!
It's always a good thing to reap the rewards of your hard work! What a joy! Your brother reminds me of Aaron! He was funny picking while the sprinklers were on. That little fountain is so cute in the Hartley 👍👏😊
Do I need to say more “I’ll have more strawberries 🍓” so adorable
I thought for a second you saw a snake, when it ended up being your sprinklers turning on, so happy I was wrong!! Benjamin is so funny, what a great kid!! I really like the fountain; the birds make it just right. And the flower arrangement in the Hartly greenhouse is so lovely, I am going to go back and take a screen shot of it and try to repeat it out of my gardens.
Good morning Laura and Aaron! Had to laugh when you lost the strawberries to Benjamin!! That boy LOVES strawberries!! Hope you show us your jars of jam, we love to see your finished work. The nectarines looked amazing. Hugs from N.C..❤️
I love this video! Benjamin is a natural star! What a bright and energetic personality! Your "nothing special" antique table comes off looking majestic in this video. Your flower arrangement is my favorite of the ones you've shown us so far: the colors of the flowers repeating the colors of the berries is genius; the drape of the berry branches themselves is lovely. Of course the adorable fountain is perfect! What a find!
Laura, I watch a lot of Chateau Restoration channels.
Terrie from “ Escape to the Dream” came across a very good furniture wax
Gilboys Beeswax.
They said it’s the best wax they have found. They buy all their furniture used and restore it. Looks like new.
Try that on your wooden table inside the Hartley.
The video in which they explain it was a few weeks ago. The picture has a red/white striped sofa in it and is called something like “ Restoring furniture”
I love raspberries! My grandma had a bunch of canes behind her garage. Picking raspberries and eating them with a little sugar is a core memory for me and my siblings and cousins!
Question: I remember when Benjamin was younger he would pick green strawberries and eat them! Is he a good judge of ripeness of berries now to where you'd be able to eat the ones he picked, no problem? ❤
I love the birds on the fountain. It’s such a cute idea!
The birds have such sweet faces. They are the best part of the fountain. Those berries look amazing! Can’t wait for the Hartley planting.
The raspberries produced an incredible amount of fruit! Your overall fruit harvest! Benjamin sure loves strawberries! 🍓 😀
I guess I've never had a nectarine from a tree mine have always come from a grocery store and they're generally hard as rocks. When your brother took a bite of his it was juicy! That would be wonderful, I'll have to find a tree somewhere. It was fun getting a glimpse of your brother, haven't seen him before and this was merely a glance. The two of you have such lovely big families. The little fountain for the Hartley is so cute and I know you will find just the right spot for it. It's always good to see Aaron in a tractor that means work is being done often behind the scenes but it's one of my favorite things to watch. Planting big trees, putting in a road, digging trenches, mowing lawns and such things. A bit disappointing that the tree they delivered to you was broken and did not survive but I love your positive attitudes you don't cry over spilled milk and you move on to a bigger and better thing. Love your creativity Laura and it's going to be wonderful as you well know. I hope it works out for the boxwoods before the weather turns bad. My eldest grandson just turned 21 and I just love him so much and this age works well on him but I told him the other day I sure miss that little guy..... Benjamin is wonderful and I remember when my grandson was born and the next several years, some of my favorite memories . Benjamin is almost looking like a kindergartener. Each stage will be wonderful.
Love it Laura. Was hoping you would make a fairy garden with a little stream or waterfall for the Hartley. I found you years ago searching for fairy gardens and you have now become a routine and part of my family. It would also be useful to see how you care for them and when you swap out flowers if it's kept in the Hartley. Thank you for sharing your expertise you have changed my life.
That's what I did last year. I cut them all down, burned the canes, and this year we have had the best crop ever. I think they (Joan J and Niwot) started bearing in late June, bore heavily in August, and they will set fruit right up until the cold sets in. Much less bug pressure too, and it made them really easy to mulch.
Love how you have been decorating the Hartley. The sound of the water will be very relaxing just to sit and enjoy the surroundings. It’s great to have so much fresh produce and make it fun for the kids to have berries to pick at their height. 😊
Your video is a great reminder of the value of patience and perseverance. It takes a lot of time and effort to grow and harvest melons and oranges, but the end result is so worth it. And the fact that you're able to make a living by selling them at the market is even more impressive. Keep up the great work! And it's an honor to have you visit our channel, we can discuss more about our experiences in harvesting and building farms.
Would love to see a vid with you and Monica cooking some of your harvest together.
🌶🥔🥦🍅
Such a cute little fountain! Funny I was just rewatching your video last night where you used to make your own beautiful fountains by just drilling a hole through a rock & stick it in a bowl! 😂 ❤ I’m going to start collecting supplies to try one myself!
Happy harvest! 🧡
Just a thought, why not get a piece of glass cut for the wood table in the Hartley? It would create a nice, easy wipe-down surface while helping to preserve some of the integrity of the table. 😊
You could put a piece of plexiglass or glass on top of the wood table in the hartley to help protect it
Love the fountain with the birds, but love Benjamin’s personality even more. What a joyful video. Thanks for sharing all these blessings with us!
I think that is the first time I have seen your brother on a video. He is a nice looking man. Your Mom has to love having all of you close by. My oldest daughter lives in Dallas about 3 hours from me but the other two are 20 minutes and 45 minutes away. It is nice knowing they are not across the country. Your Raspberry harvest was wonderful. The others will catch up. Stay Safe and Have a Blessed Week.
I know what you mean. I grew up and have family 20 minutes from where Laura lives. I was in Boise for many years, raised my daughter there. But when sh married and moved to Oklahoma, had my granddaughter, it was just too far. So now I’m with them in Oklahoma. (I DO miss the northwest, but it’s worth it)
Such a fun video! The arrangement on your table in the Hartley is beautiful!
Definitely agree, a piece of glass cut for the table to give it a little protection, would free you up to use it any way you want. We did that for an old occasional table and now can water the plants with no drip & spill worries, and the kids could play, paint or create there. Easier to dust as well if the surface is a little rough. Edges are rounded and the glass sits on little clear rubber feet so it doesn’t shift. My other thought: I think they make clear UVB spray protectant/finish that can help materials last longer in the harsh sun, whether plastic bins or wood & wicker. Might be worth considering for your table & chairs, etc.
Wow the Hartley looks beautiful! Love the little fountain too!
☕️What a wonderful time with Laura, Benjamin, and a brief wave from Aaron! And so great to “meet” Laura’s brother, he is so kind, I can tell. But who steals my heart faster than “Strawberry Benjamin”! So helpful and a great test taster! The little fountain is perfection. Thank you for sharing your lovely space and for making the world a little brighter each day 👏🏻🌻😊
Brothers are the best!
You have a Strawberry Eater! Benjamin sure is growing so fast. It’s always great to see family enjoying and teaching their little ones.
That sound is perfect!
Good morning, Laura ☕️ Wow! Those raspberry crops are amazing 👏🏻 I can see why you love the Heartly so much; it’s stunning 🤩 I think I would love it just as much. Perhaps hang some sun catchers for little rainbows 🤷♀️. I just love it. The shade cloths even look great. Excited to see what Benny does. Have a Blessed Day 😊🐈
They're like the Peep family in the 10th Kingdom. They had a magic well and everything they grew or raised from the well water was perfect
A decorative tray under the fountain also filled with small plants would be sweet to catch the splatter of water droplets. Such a sweet accent!!!
Beautiful and so much fun to pick berries! Love the fountain…Benjamin is always the star of the show! 😀🥰
I would add a piece of glass to the top of the table. We had a thick piece specially cut for my husbands desk. Love it and it will accommodate all your plants without ruining the wood.
Love seeing “guests” pop in on your videos. Is there a plan for you to go out to your sister’s new house for a gardening project?
It seems that we do share at least ONE major thing in common.
We feel Fall closing in.
Laura.....you are DYNAMIC!
We are blessed that you share your life and family with us.
Thankyou!

👋🌞Good Wednesday morning, Laura! I had a busy day, yesterday. Therefore, I wasn't able to watch. So, I get a double-feature this morning!!! 👏👏👏
😂🤣😂 I was just getting ready to type "will you tuck the ground-spill berry branches inside the cages", but, you answered before asked...😂🤣😂
Those raspberry beds are looking so full and have a nice bounty of delicious-looking berries! Raspberries are sooooo yummy! I have never had a Fall Gold one, though. I have never even seen them in our local grocery stores, either.🥺
Thank you, Aaron/Ken for the very delightful music choice, while Laura was harvesting fruit!! 👂👂🍬🍭 for my soul...🤗
That new home, behind you, is really coming along! It looks like it will be a beautiful home. Have you met the owners, yet?
👋Hi Joe! 👋Hi Benjamin!
So nice of Joe to help you harvest the higher nectarines!🤩 😂🤣😂🤣😂 I am sorry, but that was funny when I heard the sprinklers kick on and "GAAAAAAAAA" from Laura, as she runs out of the orchard.... Not a nice way to repay Joe for his help.😉🤪🤫 But, it was funny... Good chuckle for the morning. Again, my apologies for laughing.
What a delightful fountain for the Hartley!!! If you want to leave it on that table, Laura, you could buy some clear material at WalMart, in fabric area, to place over top of the table. You could either cover the entire table top surface or just the middle, to provide sufficient splash 💦💦 guard area. The birds are a nice touch!!! Did they come with the fountain or did you buy them separately?
👋Hi Aaron! Haa haa haa, you answered my above ⬆️ question; birds came separately. I would have put some in there too. But, I would have placed a bird so it looked like it was drinking the water coming up.
I did enjoy this video!!! I enjoy every single video you, Aaron and Ken put out.🤩🤗
Have a Blessed and Beautiful day/night 🌞/🌜✨️⭐️🌟⭐️✨️🌐 everyone!

LOL, my 2 year old enjoyed Benjamin's antics in this video, and thinks his name is Dude! :)
I love the fountain too! Is this our first time seeing your brother? He looks an awful lot like Aaron!
Anyone else start their day with Laura and rewatch in the evening to close their day too? It was THAT kind of day today for me. I so appreciate all that you share with us, the gardening knowledge as well as your peaceful refuge. ❤
I love the arrangement and the fountain. Everything looks so nice in the Hartley. Sorry the tree didn’t make it but excited to see the outside take shape.
Good morning Laura and everyone 😊 On my, the berries look delicious!! The fountain is so pretty and it would look great anywhere you put it…Have a great week everyone 😊
You be JAMMIN for sure! ❤ Love homemade jam! Amazing crop!!
I love that fountain ⛲️ it’s adorable. The Hartley looks beautiful 🪴
Oh my gosh! I heard the hissing sound of the sprinkler starting and thought you were getting bit by a snake. I was yelling out "run". 🤣 I love the fountain. The little birds made it look adorable. 💗
Laura, the heartily is looking absolutely magical. I can see the pride and the joy it brings you everytime that you walk into it. Love the new fountain. It's just the right size for a counter top. Thanks for sharing your joy with us. Pam in South Carolina
Morning Everyone ❤
That bird water feature is so charming. I use a lot of birds in my statuettes.
Good evening Laura and family 🌸
Nice harvest, strawberries 🍓😋 Benjamin is a hoot he love his strawberries lol. Thank you for sharing have a wonderful evening 😀👋
I love that you left some berries on the lower branches for the kids. Reminds me of my childhood back in West Virginia. We would go to my Great-Uncle's farm and pick blackberries along his fence row and then my Mom would make Blackberry Cobbler for us. Last year we took the grandkids berry picking. The berry farm had a "sin" box where you could put in some extra cash if you felt you had eaten too many berries while you were picking. Well, the four year old was eating his weight in blueberries as we picked so we did add some cash to the "sin"box. LOL Family time in the berry patch was enjoyed by all.
What a lovely story! Thanks for sharing the beautiful memories!🫐
I think this is a scammer
Good morning. Great video Laura. It's wonderful to see that you're enjoying the fruits of your labor . Much love from Trinidad.
The fountain with birds is darling! Perfect choice! 😍
It took an hour to watch this. I kept stopping and replaying because it was so HELPFUL . THANK YOU
Benjamin is adorable! Oh my goodness! I can remember before he was born! I always say, "Don't blink.". They just grow up so fast! Laura, you have such a beautiful family. Samantha is gorgeous!! You and Aaron ❤️ are truly blessed!!! I can say I have become a faithful viewer. Love ❤️ your channel! Godspeed!
Watching you while on vacation in Jamaica! Yeah man!🩴🦀🍹
Grape plants are very resilient. We bought practically dead grape vine plants on clearance and they all started to come back to life after watering for one week and we’ve seen them continually die if we neglect watering and they’ll be sticks but then come back to life! It’s amazing. They’re all thriving now
Benjamin has a very great sense of humour!... so amazing to see kids being children and having fun.
So amazing to be able to get so much from your own gardens. Berries are so expensive to buy in the stores here. Love love that little fountain it is perfect❣️
All the berries look so yummy. I could even taste them in my mouth when you show them. Many blessings
There's noting like fresh off the vine eating, no matter what it is. My fondest memories as a kid was going into the garden to pick tomatoes, cukes, beans, carrots, whatever and just brush the dirt off and chow down.
When you started running and screaming I thought bees were attacking you, thank goodness it was just the sprinkler. I was recently digging up a plant in my garden and didn’t realize that yellow jackets 🐝 had a nest right by in the ground and before I knew what was going on they were after me and I got stung 5 times, needless to say I was done gardening for the day. Great video , love 💕 from Massachusetts
I can't believe how much you're loving red these days! Have you changed your mind? Always been my favorite color in the garden! Definitely makes a statement!
Picking raspberries brings back memories of harvesting with my in laws 20 years ago. We would pick every other day, about 20 flats, deliver them to the train, they would be shipped to Portland then distributed to grocery stores in the Pacific Northwest. Dad was in his 80's !! I was relived when the plants died.
Oh my goodness all the fruit y'all picked is so lush and beautiful. Love how little sweet, cute guy ate the strawberries. He really loves them. The little fountain with the two birds is so perfect for the Hartley. I absolutely love it. Love y'all.💙❤️💙❤️
Hi Laura and gang! We have 36 feet of heritage raspberry and have harvested a dozen or so gallon bags full. My wife loves coming home from work and harvesting them in the cooler evenings. As we pick them, we immediately spread them on a baking sheet and put them in the freezer overnight, then pour them into the bags. We’ll be making and canning our jam from the frozen berries now that the tomatoes are slowing down. Such great gifts for friends and family. We had 2 years of drought in a row and had the issue with crumbly berries. This year we’ve had a lot of rain and our raspberries were all fully formed. Maybe add another row of drip, or convert to drip tape since you’re cutting them back completely. Zone 6 SW Ohio is where we garden. We need a nectarine tree!!! Gonna be on the lookout!
Maybe a large stone or cement tray to catch sprinkles? Love the fountain!
Congratulations on your fruit harvest. Nice you left berries at kiddo level. Your fountain is lovely for the Hartley.
So pleased you treated yourself to the new fountain. It is perfect. Look in great Girl.
Yummy! I'm with Benjamin I love strawberries and Your fruit looks so delicious, especially those nectarines! I think that table is gorgeous.
Greetings, Laura, from Windermere Florida zone 9b USA 🇺🇸
I love watching you harvest and Benjamin is a Treasure 💓
Happy Gardening Everyone 👩🌾 👍 💓
At first I though Joe was Aaron! Doppelgänger!
Nice to see your brother came to the rescue from the sprinkler! Can’t wait to see everything planted around the Hartley and also “patiently” awaiting the stacked stone video ❤️😬

Good morning all have a safe and blessed day
Can't wait for your Niagara grape training as I have one that I never trimmed 🙄 but tried to last year. It was pretty successful but really want to see an actual tutorial as I really learn visually and you so succinctly explain projects!🤗
I will be trying to modify my small yard to have a lot of the food projects you have like the fruit, berries and more. I will take pictures as I go starting in the spring. I will have to get really creative lol. Love all you videos ❤ Thanks so much for the inspiration. ❤
This makes me want to plant some berries of my own! Also, Benjamin looks so grown up in this video 🥲
Always love seeing little Ben. He so sweet. I didn’t know about the berries. Thanks for the information.
Good Morning! 🌞 Those raspberries look great!! I agree with Benjamin - I will take more strawberries!! I love that fountain!! 🥰😍🍇🍓🍑⛲️🌿
Hi Laura! It was so nice to meet you at the Garden Center a couple weeks ago (the day you were collecting things to plant for fall decor at your parents)! It all looks "marvelous da-ling" lol As always. --Also nice to finally meet your brother, Joe, in this video--I thought he was Aaron at first. So I bought one of the last three Crocodile ferns at the garden center also that day, and it traveled well in our truck to Tucson. I still need to transplant into a larger pot, but seems to have weathered the trip just fine. Also, please tell Monica I'll be sending her some of her own towels... Mary Clark
Fun day!! Love the sweet fountain!!! ❤
