Last part of information is wrong. Bail was granted by Supreme Court in the morning itself before 10.15 am and Bala Periava was arrested in evening only around 4 pm. What happened was, Periava was not released despite getting bail in the morning itself. It was due to his passport could not be located for surrendering before his release. Subsequently, affidavit was given in lieu of Passport to secure his release. May be he is mentioning this. But, original bail was granted before Bala Periava arrest.
Why is the need for the 'Mutrum Thurandha Periyavaa' to hold on to a passport? There are other valid Government issued identity documents that can be checked. 'Believing is not knowing'

Anchor avudaiyappan is a good anchor. But i missed his maturity and respect on others beliefs. He keeps on stressing what the peedathipathi requested inside jail. Unnecessary jokes and sarcasm could have been avoided. Lets respect others and their beliefs though we believe it or not.

Shri Jayendra Saraswathi Swamigal's bail was granted by Supreme Court in the morning itself before 11 am. As the person who was observing fast till knowing his bail judgment, I still remember very clearly. Shri Vijayendra Saraswathi Swamigal was arrested on the same evening after 4 PM only. But, as I understand from news reports, the actual release on bail of Shri. Jayendra Saraswathi Swamigal was delayed as his passport could not be located which had to be submitted to the authorities as per court order to secure his release. Subsequently, his release was secured in the next day. I hope he is referring to this delay.
