- The cartoon starts with the King & Odie in Trial of Traitors, followed by Tooter the Turtle and The Hunter, and concluding with the King & Odie in Battleslip. I taped a number of episodes on Saturday mornings in 1990.
Wow! Haven't seen these in decades. Thanks for posting.
I loved this show!
They used to have King Leonardo and Odie Cologne dancing in the street to the tune of the bongo drums, with the song:" This is Bongo Congo, Meet the ruling king/Good King Leonardo, ah that king's got swing/He and True Blue Odie, all his subjects too/Live in Bongo Congo, it's so good for you!" I loved this I used to have a picture book of this cartoon where the King and Odie had to come up with an idea on how to use up an oversupply of coconuts and bananas. The result was flying beanies you could wear and fly anywhere!
Great stuff! Thanks for posting this classic cartoon show.
Now this is cartoons !!
Don’t forget the blue racer snake too

I Remember Watchin g This Every Saturday On WABC
Me too! This show was first ran on NBC from 1960 through 1963, and it was on Saturday mornings opposite the “Shari Lewis Show”.
Actually it followed Shari Lewis.
allen swift left the popeye show to do this cartoon series and underdog.
Did they ever shown a “Color Rhapsody” from Columbia/Screen Gems at one point when it was part of this show?
I remember these cartoons. I watched them when I little. What year was this?
Perhaps I missed it, or I have another cartoon in mind, but I remember at the end of each episode the characters leaving in a sad procession, and a sad song sung by a strong male chorus ending with the line "On with the show again.", referring to next week's episode. Does anyone remem- ber that?
Anotrher Lion-LINUS!
Amazingly, I came here looking for the answer to exactly the same question!
@@SteveCarras Thanks!
If it had a bird mopping up the light on the floor, pausing to give a sad grin, yes, it was Linus the Lion.
❤
Long time last saw must be 45 years
Never mind my previous comment. The show I had in mind was "Linus the Lionhearted".
How did Odie Colonge get sweet smelling..didn't he flush Biggy Rat and Itchy Brother out with his smell? I saw this in 1960s..debuted in 1960l right when I was born.
Gee, I was 5/6 when this debuted on October 15,1968.
I meant 1960.Sorry for the misprint.
