Okay so I feel like Jason and Sam need to talk, because I don't think that he fully understands who he was before the accident and what his relationship with Sam was like. He has this perception of himself and it's kind of negative. He looks at Sonny and his life and he sees how Carly has to deal with all of this violence and upheaval and he spent a year judging Jason, and Jason's choices. He saw how Sam mourned him, he watched her cry and saw the pain in her eyes. He kept hearing about how Jason was, but he judged Jason and his choices. He even said it "I think that Jason was an idiot to go to that pier that night and leave you" And as a result of these feelings I think he judged the women who were able to look past the violence and love him and Sonny anyway. So now with Sam he's wondering if she was in it for the adrenaline or something, or at least that's the impression that I got from yesterday's episode. Because I feel like She's saying, "I feel safe with you and I know that you can and will protect me and everyone you love and care about" and he's hearing "You felt safe because of my violence, and I'm not sure that I can or rather that I want to be that guy anymore...do you still love and trust and feel safe with the guy that I am now?" And what he doesn't get is that Sam doesn't and never did love him for his business with Sonny. She loves him because she loves him, in spite of the violence. Patrick asked her if she missed that life with Jason, the action packed bullets flying bombs exploding life, and she said that she loved going on adventures with Jason, but she didn't miss the fear. Not the fear for her life, because she knew that Jason would protect her, but the fear for his life. Because she wasn't always by his side, sometimes his work would take him away for days or longer and she had to wait at home wondering if this was the time that he didn't come back...and he didn't in 2012. He was gone for 4 years. Jason needs to get that, and someone needs to explain it to him. She loves him, business or no business. She would love him if he went to work for ELQ with Michael or if he chose another career path. She loves him, and that is not dependent on his wielding a gun. She met him as Jason Morgan, he worked for Sonny, he chose that life, and she never asked him to change, she didn't want him to, because at that time that was who he was and what he wanted, and all she could do was accept his choices and love and support him

Sam use to be the one questioning everything and now it is Jason. What makes it so great is Sam is the one holding all the cards on who he is and why she loves him because again, he has no memory. She was the one who helped get him through the first couple of memory issues. I read somewhere he is going to begin remembering the early part of his life in which he didn't as the last Jason. So, in order for the writers to rewrite his life, they're going to have to bring some of the old memories back. The one thing that doesn't ever need to be disturbed is Sam and Jason's love for one another. I'm tired of the test. Carly and Sonny have been married 5 times and are now just getting it. Sam and Jason do not need their issues. I think if the Quartermaines are going to come back up in Port Charles, Jason is going to have to take the reins with Michael. A least the relationship between the two is good. Also, Sam needs to get back with Spinelli and Anna and open the PI business, or, she needs to get pregnant again in about a year. Why not have some fun in the process? Remember her dreams? They had 2 children. They have Danny and now need to work on that daughter. But, no matter what happens, Jake must be included in their life. Sam has never had a problem with Jake, only, Elizabeth has a problem with Sam & Danny. And, Jason needs minimal contact with Elizabeth. It should only be when necessary. Plus, no more confiding in Elizabeth because she has ulterior motives. Never trust a snake! It is bite you.
I agree but I also believe that the things Liz was telling him about Jason when he was Jake is also the reason he looks at himself negatively. she made it seem like Jason was this mindless drone who was manipulated by Sonny to join the mob. By Jake being in love with Liz her words stuck more with him then what Carly, Sam or Michael was telling him about Jason. He chalked it up to they just love him so they're make excuses for him(this before he found out he was Jason).
Rashonda Winston I can see that, and I think you're right. But we all know that Liz was only saying that because Jason 2.0 didn't pick her, and she was hoping that Jason 3.0 would. But she also said a lot of nice things about Jason too..before she knew that Jake was Jason

I love the Jasamiel Bonding!! And ugh Liz smh. I can see why Jason asked Sam about how she loved the way he was. I think Jase 3.0 is trying to establish his new life and if Sam would still be with him. He just wants to be sure how she feels. Sam isn't shallow she never tried to change him then and wouldn't try it now. Jason should trust Sam and how she feels and just take things day by day. Don't rush, don't question... just feel.

I think that is the short answer one of the reason Sam and Jason were attracted to each other is they are both adrenaline junkies who take risks and not afraid to walk that fine line of life and death situations. but Sam wasn't solely attracted to Jason because she knew how to handle the danger but he gave her a blueprint of building a life, having a family and planting roots especially when she was pregnant with her daughter. all the rest was secondary so I hope the writers don't rewrite history to create drama.
Let's be honest Jason Q and Sam McCall probably would have never met let alone fallen in love. It was his role in Sonny's life (his choice to become Jason Morgan) and hers that put them in one another's orbit and baby Lila that originally brought them together. She wasn't with him because of the danger. All she ever wanted was him, however she could get him. In the mob or out made no difference to her, but none of it probably wouldn't have happened had it not been for his choice to be Sonny's enforcer.
