Special to ya , YES ! My first truck was a 1954 Chevrolet 3100 series , 6 cylinder, 6 volt with only 1 taillight. My father had given it to me and sadly when I was in Germany my wife sold it as she was divorcing me . My next truck was my first diesel, a 86 F250 with a 6.9 diesel and it was wrecked in my driveway. A drunk ran into it . So , cut to years later after I’d worked in lawn maintenance and landscaping companies and I was a foreman, I’d driven all 4 brands of 2500/3500 diesel and gas and the Duramax was my all time favorite. So , after my last job I bought a used 2008 Duramax 4x4 4 door 2500 but she was a work truck and to this day I can’t get the dirt out from the inside . She had been used in the oilfields . I bought her deleted but I’ve learned that he put in a backer plate and I still have the EGR which I’m saving to remove and install the Y bridge & upper & lower pipes but fer now my water pump is going out so , I’m gonna buy new upper & lower radiator hoses and do the work myself. Then later to save to get the full delete and manifolds and the Kryptonite upper & lower arms and new shocks n hubs & suspension . I’m not gonna lift her at all . Hopefully I’ll get the other fuel filters that ya installed that sit behind the cab & under it vs the stock . I have a long way to go , for example I saw your video about the transfer case and the bearings that Mark puts into his machine built spindle and I want to do that and also put in the rear end that eliminates the extra gears , especially since I want to do Hot Shot driving. Well , today a guy is gonna buy a trailer of mine , so that’s cash money . Be good , enjoy the family and may God bless y’all .
How does the RC lift kit handle Josh? I absolutely get the sentimental attachment that you had with your truck. You sacrificed it for your family wich adds to the value, nothing corny about it. Great video, thanks for showing the kit install.
Awesome video. Love that you were able to get your dream truck again. The new build looks much better! I will say, it looks like you could easily fit 37s, I think that would really make it look perfect. Keep up the good work, I love that you do everything yourself
The wheels are almost perfect there's too much of a deep dish the opposite is too big if it was a moral like a flush opposite I think I would like it more but I think it doesn't look too bad
I put a 6" lift on my friends 08 LMM dirtymax and the hardest part was cutting off the front diff mount off the pumpkin and wrestling the sucker back up in the truck with no lift just jackstands and jacks. I'm with you i like the 361 spyders!
Looks good. I’m in the same boat as you. I had a 2009 gmc with all bells and whistles and had to get rid of it. But I got me another one years later 2010 gmc that I have built from complete stock to what it is today. I just did the same lift and love it so far.
Josh I know haven't posted a comment in awhile and I have been tied up with the new job... The truck is absolutely beautiful!!! I love height and the stance!!!!
Stick with the Silvers the other gets to busy. Also you might want to add the chrome door protector/rock guards back on the doors like on your first truck to balance the chrome out since your door handles are black.
I love it, I understand getting attached to vehicles. Heck I have my 2005 I bought new and I still love it. It's amazing how they become family. Yet if I had to choose I would take my 16 cummins . They are sentimental for sure.
OMG Josh!!!! What an Amazing Build.. Gorgeous LMM, I have to say that because I have one also a 3500hd black. Doing some mods also, thinking about PPE exhaust manifold and up pipes. But seriously thinking about leaving stock egr with the Stinking factory exhaust. It failed last Inspection because of 5" without muffler bolted at flange to exhaust tip. And this happened in Hillbilly part of Missouri.
Did you have to put in spacers on your axles for the 6" lift ? I have a 6" fabtech and did a complete front-end rebuild and mine had about a 1/2" spacer each axile at the transfer case.
you got a gold mine here brother .... love this channel ... passive income .... your doing it ... at your finest .... i pray you know ...great job ....
Awesome truck man! I have the same truck and wish I could afford to do all of this to mine! I’m slowly starting to do mine and about to do the EGR, DPF, and PCV delete. Also watched another one of your videos about using an LBZ down pipe instead of the y pipe and red intercooler pipe. I’m sooooo glad I found your channel and will be watching from now on. Thanks again for the videos!
You should paint the door handles or get some chrome ones, id leave the mirrors just like they are though the black plastic on them don’t look out of place at all
Yeah she looks real good. I like the red truck with chrome wheels. That's the look I like to but I always seemed to get a black truck. 3x now lol I really like the rough country lift kit. I had 6 inch kit on my 1500 with 35s and 2500 with 37s and it was solid. Didn't have any problems. Thanks for sharing
Congratulations Mr. Josh! Iv been a fan of the channel for a long time... back when your LBZ was black and that other young youtuber backroad diesel, maybe with the victory red LBZ with cranked bars would caleb with you on occasion. Any way i remember the story and reason you sold your first LMM because you had to do what was best for your family. Its awesome how hard you have worked and how far you have taken your channel and for you to come across another LMM the way it happened and that it is also victory red i completely understand the sentimental value & feelings you must have. With it all coming back full circle. The Lord God has blessed you with many things, gifts, & talents. From what i have been able to tell It couldn't have happened to a better person! Though i dont know you personally, but the values, and love of country, your service to this GREAT Country, all say a lot about you and you not only earned but deserve ALL you have God Bless you and your family!
Another trick; Smack the snot out of the side knuckle to bust those loose. A couple hard hits with a heavy hammer while prying where you want it to go and it’ll pop out.
If it was my truck I would’ve went with black rims but it looks killer nonetheless! Question tho, are you gonna colour match the grill and mirrors? As well as get different headlights to really make her pop out?
Cool videos just like every other one you post but I got a question regarding the insulation of the air dog's filter system once you install that 1 do you bypass the water separator and the engine compartment if so please let me know
Great looking truck it just goes to show what you can do with an imagination. I am building a 2004 6.o with a KDD 650 hp With a twisted diesel 5 speed triple disk . I can only hope mine looks as good
I like the other one better than the LBZ I think the other one looks better with the front end because you can change the headlights to like a newer style a little bit it’s just me I had to hold for like you’re lbz it was in a diesel though
A decent front end rebuild tool kit is 60 bucks, I'd get one and save yourself some work and sketchiness. Us IFS Duramax guys gotta have one of those sets in the toolbox.
Truck Master that’s the best looking truck but the lbz is second to none. But you shouldn’t get rid of it bc it’s sorta like the first truck you’ve ever owned:). Bow ties are the way to go fs!
Truck Master I recently purchased a 2016 Silverado 2500 HD LmL the winters get pretty cold where I am and I want to get a remote starter any suggestions on the best one to get
Look very nice. Little more rim than I run. I have to have sidewall for towing. But yours are the least amount of sidewall that still looks good and usable.,
Hey buddy just found your channel this week watched the whole lmm build already i also have a 7.5 lmm 320k just ordered the rc front and rear bumper along with the skid plate was wondering if you recommended any good brake kits for these trucks with high hp
I have 3 Questions 1 can you put a lift kit on if you plan on having a 5th wheel RV? 2 I have a 2011 GMC 2500HD Duramax. With a crew cab. It's box is 6 feet 6 inches. I want to put a flat bed on it. Some people will frown on this but I want to put a steel diamond plate bed on it. With tool boxes on the skirt. What company would you recommend? 3 love your channel
Lift kit makes truck very unstable on highway, had one and hated. If you want stability when towing and none towing, stick with factory setup. Lift kits good for show but not for everyday.
😎👍 Looks great. You picked what you wanted and meant the most to you...outstanding. Those OEM GM wheels didn't look to bad for the Dodge... you can paint them black or leave as is... either way looks good and saves some $$. The Spider wheels looked great. Looking good 👍

Damn man. Those before and after shots are night and day. That's awesome.
Been waiting for this one to be done forever, this is the truck that made me start watching the channel!
Thanks man!
Great to see a RUclipsr putting out great content especially that your local to me! inspiring me to finish my 2nd gen Cummins restoration
I put a 6" lift on my friends 08 LMM dirtymax and the hardest part was cutting off the front diff mount off the pumpkin and wrestling the sucker back up in the truck with no lift just jackstands and jacks. I'm with you i like the 361 spyders!
Thanks Joe
Your welcome man!

This one looks better than the first one you had. Honestly I think it's your best looking truck. Good job man. You really work your ass off.
Thanks Jake I totally agree
You should do a video showing what you trimmed to keep your tires from rubbing on those little LMM Wheel wells.
I absolutely love this truck! Understand the emotions you are having.
Congratulations on building your dream truck! I'm working on my 07 lbz ccsb. Always wanted one and found one thats kinda rough but I love it 100%
Josh I know haven't posted a comment in awhile and I have been tied up with the new job...
The truck is absolutely beautiful!!!
I love height and the stance!!!!
Thanks!!
I put the same lift on my 06lbz and I have no complaints. Can't beat it for the price
Stick with the Silvers the other gets to busy. Also you might want to add the chrome door protector/rock guards back on the doors like on your first truck to balance the chrome out since your door handles are black.
You sir have come a long way! Congrats on the build! Looks amazing
Thanks
Who made the front bumper that you put on? I must have missed that detail in the mix.
I built it, the bumper is a DIY Rough Country kit
Sick. Needs the step-in rear bumpers from later models. That black in the rear will look good.
20 years later, I bought my dream truck. Waiting always pays off.
I love it, I understand getting attached to vehicles. Heck I have my 2005 I bought new and I still love it. It's amazing how they become family. Yet if I had to choose I would take my 16 cummins . They are sentimental for sure.

Spyder wheels look amazing

you got a gold mine here brother .... love this channel ... passive income .... your doing it ... at your finest .... i pray you know ...great job ....
looks good , why is one shock on the rear upside down ? and WHY ARE YOU NOT USING IMPACT SOCKETS.
You got yourself a good looking truck. You've built something that you're happy with. And that is awesome
Man the wheels and lift change the look of that truck so much looks awesome dude!!!
Awesome truck man! I have the same truck and wish I could afford to do all of this to mine! I’m slowly starting to do mine and about to do the EGR, DPF, and PCV delete. Man I almost hate to say it but that is by far the best looking truck in the fleet now and they wheels and tires look great
Just finished my 05 cat eye wheels tires 6 inch RC lift. It’s so nice to have it done!
I had to wait the whole day until after work to see this, WELL worth the wait! Turned out AMAZING!!!
I appreciate it!
Yeah she looks real good. I like the red truck with chrome wheels. That's the look I like to but I always seemed to get a black truck. 3x now lol I really like the rough country lift kit. He’s a good person for doing that for his kids
When that truck pulled out of the garage I was amazed looks awesome!
Thanks!
Dude this thing looks wicked with the painted matched front bumper and suspension
I got the exact same truck but in dark blue. I’ve been struggling with what size and brand lift kit and wheel choice. You’ve made my mind up!
👍👍
Your channel is awesome because of you I bought my 06 lbz . Thank you keep them videos coming !
I absolutely love what you do to your trucks. Amazing work keep doing what you do Josh.
Thanks!
@@TruckMaster hey josh, what size/width are the wheel adapters that were on the lmm? Also what brand? Thanks

I love the look of the truck now the lift and tires really changed it nice.
Just a question, on those lmm models the dash in the cab keeps cracking up, do you have a good replacement option for that.
Another trick; Smack the snot out of the side knuckle to bust those loose. A couple hard hits with a heavy hammer while prying where you want it to go and it’ll pop out.
Looks great! I could never get in it with my aches, weight and age.
Little wheels big fat tires is what makes 4x4 trucks look good. Just my thoughts!
Dang that truck looks good! I think Crome rims wood look awesome on the Cummins
She looks good bro I stand corrected the chrome rims look sick. Good job bro you ready to build my 08 lmm 💪.
Bey brian i changed a hub bearing on my lmm now i have abs on plus stabilink plus traction ligh on qny ideas?
Reset the batteries
Sure will buddy thanks
Chrome was a good choice for that truck 👌🏻
You missed something very very important! Could save you a pull-over, your high stoplamp has a burnt bulb😜
Those wheels/tires are HOT. I personally prefer more sidewall, but that looks mint.
That’s plenty of sidewall wdym
before the 6 inch lift were you running spacers in the front?
So with this lift kit there is no going back to factory levels? What is it that you had to cut off?
Not a Chevy fan but dang! That’s beautiful. I agree 4wb is a great place!
If it was my truck I would’ve went with black rims but it looks killer nonetheless! Question tho, are you gonna colour match the grill and mirrors? As well as get different headlights to really make her pop out?
I’m probably going with color matched mirrors
Just a thought, trade the chrome 2500hd emblems for black ones to match your door handles. Great lookin truck.
Man nice build, those chrome wheels and lift kit look awesome.
Did you or someone recondition the frame? Looks 👀 pretty fresh.
I just cleaned it up and rattle canned it up some
Cool videos just like every other one you post but I got a question regarding the insulation of the air dog's filter system once you install that 1 do you bypass the water separator and the engine compartment if so please let me know
Nice looking truck , u should get some chrome door handle covers n chrome grille insert will make it really stand out other than that great build.
Great looking truck it just goes to show what you can do with an imagination. I am building a 2004 6.o with a KDD 650 hp With a twisted diesel 5 speed triple disk . I can only hope mine looks as good
Hey Josh what made you go with the torsion bar drop vs the non torsion bar drop? Just wondering cause I’m looking at picking up a kit
Omg the lift and tires and rims relly make that truck look amazing great job that was a nice bild keep up the great videos
Great video. Awesome truck! Love all of ur trucks. You are truely blessed. Keep up the great work.
Beautiful, hope my 2500 HD turns out like this when complete!
Truck Master that’s the best looking truck but the lbz is second to none. But you shouldn’t get rid of it bc it’s sorta like the first truck you’ve ever owned:). Bow ties are the way to go fs!
turned out so good bro!
Thanks JW!
I have a 2018 Silverado Gasser I was thinking of a Rough Country 3 inch lift but I’ve heard crap about them can you help
Omg that thing just looks so amazing.
Truck Master I recently purchased a 2016 Silverado 2500 HD LmL the winters get pretty cold where I am and I want to get a remote starter any suggestions on the best one to get
That's a sweet truck truck master. You shouldn't get rid of that one!!!
Yes beautiful truck Josh glad to see after 12 years you get her back. Ready to see you finish the dodge truck and the powerstroke too
Thanks Ronnie
Your welcome. Can't wait to see her in person. I'm from lansing mi
Nice I’m running 22x12 on 37x14.50 on my 7.5 Ltz with the same lift with Kryptonite uppers
Nice 👍
Newer style rear bumper with the cutout steps would look killer and that gorgeous truck, Awesome build my man👌🏻
Thanks
Look very nice. Little more rim than I run. I have to have sidewall for towing. But yours are the least amount of sidewall that still looks good and usable.,
Looks Awesome, Chrome is it !
Nice outcome. I personally go for smaller wheels and more rubber so I can air down for sand/rocks.
Noticed you said the truck has a lot of miles. What do you consider a lot of miles for a duramax. Just picked up an lly with 184k on it
It looks so good. I want a duramax someday.
The bumper off the LMM would look good on the 2nd gen.
Hey buddy just found your channel this week watched the whole lmm build already i also have a 7.5 lmm 320k just ordered the rc front and rear bumper along with the skid plate was wondering if you recommended any good brake kits for these trucks with high hp
Check out powerstop
@@TruckMaster appreciate it truck looks amazing love that bumper
WOW! It's gorgeous! This inspires me to finish up my LLY.
What exhaust are you running on it? She sounds beautiful!!
You put the like stock chrome wheel well trim on it now and see how that looks
Not much of a chevy fan but this is a amazing build
Agreed
I put 22x14s on my 11 lml.. barely put the stocks and 35 all terrains. Way better and livable. Good job btw
Nope no doubt the chrome is it. Black would look good but the chrome is the best choice...for both
I totally agree
im a sucker for chrome rims!!!! Love the look, i need some dually second gen dodge chrome rims
I love that body style. Great build man. Do you have any problem with gelling up when you use air dog?
I haven’t had a problem yet
it came out really nice. looks good with the chrome wheels and red accents. looks real aggressive too
I appreciate man!
14:06 this mans is a maniac
Dude that thing looks sick!!! Love it
Spyder all the way!
I have 3 Questions
1 can you put a lift kit on if you plan on having a 5th wheel RV?
2 I have a 2011 GMC 2500HD Duramax. With a crew cab. It's box is 6 feet 6 inches. I want to put a flat bed on it. Some people will frown on this but I want to put a steel diamond plate bed on it. With tool boxes on the skirt. What company would you recommend?
