Recipe Ingredients:
Flour 3 cups
Butter 2 tbsp
Sugar 2 tbsp
Salt (a pinch would be enough)
Yeast 1+ 1/4 tsp
Milk 1 cup
Egg 1

I made it today and it came out very well..
Tips: 1.if you are using active dry yeast make sure first you dissolve the dry yeast in milk that you are using..
2.add a table spoon of yeast according to the video measurements.
3. According to this video, we can make about 25 donuts.. you don’t need that much.. take half measurements of everything..
4. Keep the dough for 1 hour rising and if you are not available after 1 hour you can keep this dough in fridge but make sure you keep 1 extra hour outside after you take this dough from the fridge otherwise the dough won’t rise if you keep inside the fridge..
3. You can use sugar powder instead of granules.. it is much better trust me..

This is the first donut recipe that is true to your word! I also like it because it is not a large quantity of donuts to eat! It is just right for a single person or a "couple"! Thanks Aomy!!!

Egg/eggs must never be broken in your mixture.... always break in a separate container before adding to ensure same is not spoil

I tried this recipe and follow exactly as the instructions. But the result turn out not as expected. The donut is hard. Not fluffy as the video shown.
You need to add more milk. That was my problem too. I fixed mine's, by adding 3 more tablespoons.
You shouldn’t knead it too much or all the air will come out and it will be hard mine was like a cloud

I used this recipe and my dough was SO SO SO SOFT I was literally so excited ! But when I put it in the fryer it didn’t fry because i forgot to let it sit out and proof 🤣

Hi, just asking about the temperature of the milk you used. Was it just room temp or does it need to be warm? Also when you melted the butter, does it need to be cooled down or mix straight away?

loveeee this recipe, but if u do do it make sure the milk is warm so the yeast rises also wen u cover the dough to make it rise make sure its in a warm place or put some hot water below the bowl and let it rise

Tip from experience don’t use a doughnut cutter instead take a ball of doughy for a doughnut size and flatten little poke a little hole in the middle then let rest and then fry

Yea the first time I made it was not sweet so I agree with 4 tsp of sugar
After kneading the dough mixture make sure na bago ninyo iflatten yung dough maglagay muna ng flour sa flat surface hindi direkta sa dough and kapag nag ni knead kayo ng dough dapat may oil kamay ninyo para hindi madikit suggestion lang po ha. But you did great and success sa pag bake 😇

The Yeast
Don’t put the salt directly on the yeast, direct contact of salt with yeast deactivate the yeast.
Maybe the milk wasnt warmed up enough, don't use cold milk
If God spare my life I will be trying it, looks simple and easy and the texture looks very good

She Hack in guessing yes mate. Warm milk helps activate the yeast.👍 good luck.
@Reina Kaye Nagal I normally just use Devondale full cream UHT milk. I have also used the low fat/skim version of this milk and its just as good. Good luck!
Try waking up the yeast first by mixing in warm milk n sugar... then pour it into your flour mixture n knead..

Hi . For me the frying process wasn't good at all. They stayed flat and became hard. I want to try it again but I'm scared.

When i added the wet ingredients to the flour, it was too sticky! I didn't knead it and let it proof then when I knead it after 1 hour it was still too sticky, I had to add quite a few tsps of flour to make it into a ball! Please advise? What did I do wrong? Was I supposed to knead in the beginning too after adding the wet ingredients?
When using cups, the actual amount of flour or dry ingredients might be differ because of how packed or how loose the flour is. You didn’t do anything wrong.
The pale line around your donuts tells me they were cooked well---not under, not over. Good job! A lot of commercial donut makers can't manage this, but it is seriously the hallmark of a well made donut.
