The English language ist not nearly as creative as German when it comes to insults. You could make a ten hour video with nonstop cusswords.

I'm Norwegian and I noticed that we have very similar insult words, for example "ekel", which in Norwegian is "ekkel" (disgusting) and "drecksack" which is very similar to the Norwegian equivalent "drittsekk", which also means "dirt bag". I'm a linguist nerd and very interested in language similarities, particulary similarities between Germanic languages, as I speak one myself as my mother tongue and I also tend to learn Germanic languages faster than non-Germanic languages.

A thousand years ago (a few hundred years after displacing the Roman Empire in Anglia had left Latin traces) before the A.D. 1066 Norman Conquest three-century tsunami of Frenchification, English in England (then Anglalond) was Anglo Saxon. It is a West Low Germanic language.

Didrick Namtvedt because German and languages like yours, others like dutch , English all came from once branch Germanic .... if you can speak any of these languages chances are you can learn the others easily... they say Dutch is the easiest to learn for English speakers.

I was in a remote part of Western Australia travelling with a German friend.
A young women joined us to chat. For many hours. In my parlance she 'chewed my ears off'. But he shared with me a perfect German expression, which I understood on many levels, despite speaking only a little German:
    "Sie rede wie ein Wasserfall."
    🤔😂

As a German I have to complain about the translation of "Sackgesicht". Usually Sack=bag but it also ist a Word for testicles, which is exactly what this insult alludes to/on (not sure what is right). So the correct translation actually is "testicle face".

I LOVE that German has the word "Fusshupe"!
English doesn't have a word specifically for dogs like that. I've gotten used to calling them punt-punt dogs (they're so small you could punt them like a football)
    Thanks for the info!

You translate the insults literally so they don't make sence anymore. For example "pisser" refers to little kids who pie their pants. "Sackgesicht" refers to makle testicles so that would be something like ball-face. In spanist you have the expression "cara de picha" wich means "Pimmelgesicht" which is somewhat similar.

All the speaches of Hitler though, sounds like he's just cursing someone.
      (Which he probably did)
But I understand what you mean.
If I say "SCHMETTERLING" in German - you'd probably think I was
talking about a machine gun or something that would kill a lot of people
      real fast and ugly !
      It actually means : "a Butterfly" !
