    This is so true. I go through seasons where I’m just doing the breathing like a checklist item and rushing through it, not being present, thinking about what I’m going to do next, and in this times I don’t end up getting the symptoms and have shorter retention. If I am fully present and focused and taking my time, it’s a totally different experience.

      Yes me too. I think it's still good to do it even if you don't do it 'well', as at the end of the day you are exercising the lungs. But it's so true that the variation in depth and ability is surprising depending on the effort or mental state.

    I’ve been slowly progressing: starting w the breathing exercises daily, then including a daily cold shower, and this past week, doing ice bath/cold immersions for 15min. The difference in my sleep patterns and my running performance is noticeable: deeper sleep, and easier recoveries w much less soreness. The mind is the next frontier. Thank you, Wim, for this reminder of what the entire purpose of this work is: to master our minds through our breath and body.

      Maybe Qigong and spending a lot of time in nature and with animals can help. Atleast these things always calmed this bursting fire of anger inside me. And please never fall into the trap of the judging mind. There is nothing wrong with you if you feel Anger 😊(just in case if you have these thoughts... I have them😅)
      Love is always underneath the anger, an is always welcoming with open arms ❤
      What also helped me, are sulfeggio frequencies in combination with chanting or humming. Feels amazing. Sometimes I also to TRE, so I basically shake my body but don't do this one just like that. It can be scary for some that it might not be that easy to handle but still worth looking into 😂

    I did. the breathing yesterday…and something crazy happened. It felt like I could feel down to the deepest part of my souls and could calm it down. At the same time I had a feeling of great inner joy. I could feel everything in me pulsating and vibrating and knew I could keep my breath for a long time. I did. three rounds and felt I could keep my breath way longer as usual so I did it a nother three times with my girlfriend stopping the time…I went three round for at least 2:15min…but what happened was in the third round I thinking knocked out and woke up coughing…not scared or nothing…like waking up from a very pleasant dream. It was a great experience…and it showed me what is important…to go deep inside of you and if you get there you can activate powers that are very great. Does that make sence???

Once you learn how to control the prana and relax its easy as riding a bike.

      @Adam.0777 Год назад +5

      @@Knifymoloko No I’ve never left my body during pranayama or anything like that. Why so long? Well when you first start doing the wim hof method once you start going longer and longer it’s an accomplishment each time. You pass 3 minutes. Then 5. Then one day you get to 10 and think wow 10 whole minutes. As you keep practicing every day those minutes go more and more. Before you know it you look at the timer and 20 minutes has passed and you can’t believe you can go so long you didn’t even think it was possible. So you just keep improving and that’s what I’ve done all the way to a 56 minute breath retention before. You can train your body and mind to do incredible things :)

    Wim lost his wife to depression.
    Over O2 your lymphoids, blood system and body;
    there will be no room for inflammation in your body and or your biological presence. Depression, Cancer and Tumors, ALL have the same attractor, ALL start with inflammation.
    This technique of immunization within your system, will drive out inflammation,
    Do this technique 2x daily. 12 minutes per beginner session and those 24 minutes of your 24 hours of your presence, in the moment, will biologically change your body's state of health.
    How you think and how you feel
    creates your state of being.

Once I start to focus, I end up focusing on the fact that I'm going to have to breathe soon and WANT to breathe soon and then it progresses to the end very quickly. despite having followed all the tutorials and beginner's guides, still can't even hold breath more than one minute... despite deep breaths more than 40... :(

      Have you tried different speeds? Also maybe put attention more on the inbreath and a shorter outbreath.
      There are many things that could cause that and I don't know exactly what it is for you. I'm sure you will figure it out. Just don't be hard on yourself, this is not a race against others but more a practice of selflove to help your body - yourself to be in balance and connecting to your inner in a deep and meaningful way.
      Don't compare your journey to others.
      I remember there was a video from an Wim Hof instructor that helped me a lot. I'm sure you will find it if you search for it on RUclips. Good luck my friend 😊

      I had the same problem. Doing it on my own, the BEST I could do was ALMOST two minutes (the third round- first round I couldn't get past 35 seconds) . Then I downloaded the app and followed Wim's guided breathing. My first round the first time I did it with the app, I did over 1 minute. I just did 2:20 this morning. The app and guided breathing was a game changer for me.
