  • A pensioner from West Yorkshire passed her 55-minute Grade 7 ballet exam with merit - proving age is just a number. To prepare she had to train two hours every day for three weeks. Barbara began ballet ages two but stopped taking exams in her twenties. She was persuaded to go again after her daughter started adult ballet classes. Barbara has never stopped teaching ballet and says it has kept her healthy. Over time Barbara has lost flexibility - she hasn't done the splits for ten years. But she plans to keep on dancing and has her sights on her grade eight exams. Report by Charlotte Brehaut.

Mmmm, there's some advanced work involved in passing a Grade 7, if any any future students fail I'd be asking to see how they compared to this lady. I'm not sure wether this is just PR stunts
