This is from the Marbles On The Road DVD that was released in 2005, a must have for any Marillion fan. This is by far the best live version of Cover My Eyes that has ever been recorded. Thanks for posting, it's a treat to watch this video.
Actualmente tengo 53 años y cuando apareció Marillion con Fish ...Oh que Banda dije ....los 90s sin Fish ...me costo aceptar a Steve Hogart pero aquí 2020 disfrutando de Marillion en todas sus etapas .
i had a substitute teacher who told me about this band when I was in high school. When i heard his tape it somehow almost feel like Rush inspired them just with all the various sounds and lyrics
yes.. it is a smart way to see it. There are two different bands: - Marillion ( 1978 - 1989) and - Marillion ( 1990 - present ) Anyway, both are awesome!.
Hogarth rules. He helped take Marillion from being a band that sounded a little like Pink Floyd and Genesis to being a band that nobody else sounds like. Thanks to Hogarth, Marillion is unique.
Correcto: Fish era el Poeta, participando minoritariamente en la música. Algo parecido a Gabriel y Genesis. Fish,no obstante dijo en una entrevista que el 80% de la música del seasons end y el 90% de las letras del "Vigil" deberían haber la Secuela del CAS. Curiosamente el CAS es el disco favorito de Fish de toda su era.
Well, Both Are! Excepting the fact that Cover My Eyes has certainly gone under more changes than Dry Land which has been kept almost the same from the previous album.
When a band like Marillion loses its main composer and vocalist, like it happened when Fish left, you gotta stop looking at it like its the same band... To me the "new" Marillion is a diferent band with a different vocalist, who also does a great job. If u feel like comparing this band with other bands, you should also take into account stuff like Dream Theater or whatever...
Once again, Marillion proves its awesome ability to both compose and perform. What energy, passion, and entertainment!!!! What a great song!
One of the few bands to have ever successfully changed lead singer 🤘
What a song Fabulous

Terrific!!
Cudowność sama w sobie!
Best song ever
and in 2004 the selfie was invented by Steve H.
Eres un genio Steve y el saber que tambien fuiste parte de Europeans (Animal Song) me hizo Super Fan!
Awesome... as usual :)

And the new album…Marillion is a pure gem!
Top!!!
Steve Rothery kicks serious butt
What boring audience! I saw the last concert in Chile, and the public was crazy! unfortunately they didn't play that beautiful song :(

I believe Steve Rothery was the one who thought to change the vocals from just sounds to "Pain and Heaven"
@JRBL1A1 Couldn't agree more!
@dufortrph Ever listened to anything from the Hogarth-era besides "Cover My Eyes"?
All of it
OK, who was it then? teach me =P
His voice was already starting to go, this far back.
To be fair, this was one of the last encores. There are still some recordings from 2007 or 2009 where he sounds flawless.
He is'nt exactly thinner today, I'm afraid. (This clip is almost 3 years old.)
a " gong bong " for MARILLION
Wasn't a fan till Steve took over vocals, Fish was fine but Steve just blew me away.
Esta me gusta ma....
Esta me gusta...mas...
Silly remarks fish lovers, Seems like a guy cant camp it up and have a good time with his band anymore!
@PhilRamone I've listened to most, if not all, of it. I just really don't like anything from that era.
@mostlyanthony Kayleigh -- and anything else from the Fish-era -- makes these guys sound like five-year-olds.
