Guillain-Barré Syndrome (acute inflammatory demyelinating polyradiculoneuropathy- AIDP). Guillain-Barre syndrome is an autoimmune disease characterized by the presence of autoantibodies that attack Schwann cells, the cells normally responsible for myelinating the neurons of the peripheral nervous system (PNS). Guillain-Barré Syndrome (GBS) is an acute, immune-mediated demyelination of the peripheral nervous system (lower motor neuron lesion or LMNL) causing polyradiducloneuropathy with predominantly motor symptoms (ascending flaccid paralysis). Triggers of GBS include viral infections (e.g. Zika virus) and bacterial infections (e.g. Campylobacter jejuni). symmetrical muscle weakness, areflexia, back pain, paresthesia, autonomic dysfunction, respiratory insufficiency, facial weakness

I got GBS after the first dose of PxxxxR vaccine. Three years and I still have residual weakness mainly with my feet. Couldn’t work for 2 years. Wouldn’t wish it on my worst enemy. 😞
