Hi Brent, I Bet your girls enjoy playing this game. Funny how kids can always be busy when you need them. Great job.
Thanks, Rita! They have a blast every time we play. It’s especially fun because they were involved in making it. It does make me chuckle that they can find a way out of the boring stuff 😆
I can say it is a very fast fun game that anyone can play!!
Awesome! I'll be using up some more scrap wood today. My grandkids will love this! Thanks for sharing.
Yeah, that’s what it’s all about! Have fun with it! Thanks for watching!
Love your channel! Kids can’t stop playing the game. Thanks so much!
That is great to hear! I love feedback like this. Thanks for giving it a try!
What a cool project. I’ve never seen this game before but such a good idea. 🙌🏻😁 thanks for sharing!!
Thank you! It’s definitely worth making for game night!
That looks like a fun game. Great tips to make it for next time!
Thanks, Grant! It’s a blast. Definitely a good party game.
Great project! I like how you used a removable stop block on the table saw. I haven't used that saw much so hadn't even considered it but it makes sense now. Happens sometimes with my chop saw, not anymore thanks to that great tip 👍
Thanks! It perfect for crosscut sleds.
Hello! I would love to make this with my wife and kids, if I had a family! LOL!
Cool game, and great work!
Thank you, Itzik!
This is very cool. Would love to make this during the quarantine....
Sounds like you really should!
em rất thích video của anh và dã theo dõi kênh của anh ,,👍
Thank you!
you did a good job! Good for you 🔥 🔥 🔥
Thank you!
Hello my friend.
I finally did it and finished it. I uploaded it to my channel if you want to watch it. I love this game. congratulations. Because of the Covid virus, everyone and the world are in quarantine. And nowadays we do different things. I hope the whole world gets rid of this damn virus as soon as possible.
Stay healthy and happy.
Greetings.
Excellent! I’m looking forward to checking it out! Hopefully it helps the family get through these crazy times. Thank you for taking the time to comment back again! Take care
@@WhiteLabWorkshop thank you. Take care of you. We have been playing this game with the family for 2 days. It's fun.
needs some red wings logos lol... great project for the kids to get involved!
Haha! It really is a great one for the kids to get involved! It’s more fun when they play something they helped make.
These are great fun 😊 We visited a place locally and they had many variations of this game. It gave me a good few ideas for making something for when my son's friends visit 😊 ॐ
It’s such a simple build, but so much fun to play!
great work
Thank you!
It reminds me of a diffusion and Brownian motion simulation.
I bet some paste wax on the pucks & bottom board would make those pucks slide with little friction if making a bigger version
That’s a great idea! Thanks for watching!
1:59 hahaha i can understand the feeling, Same happens to me all the time
Haha! Hopefully you at least get help during the fun parts, like I did.
great thing to work with kids using the most dangerous woodworking machine there is. a table saw. :)
Ha! The table saw obviously isn’t a tool for kids. It’s great to get kids involved with woodworking, but some aspects are best done for them in the name of safety.
Hello my friend.
this game is so trendy these days. I decided to do it too.
I wish you healthy days.
You won’t be disappointed! Just watch those fingers 😉
@@WhiteLabWorkshop Everyone is at home because of the Corona virus. I do this to cheer up the annoying environment at home. I started doing it to have fun with the kids. I wish you healthy and happy days.
This game is fun and exciting. It might be exactly what you need to spice things up with the kids. It’s crazy times right now, so enjoy the time with your family. Here’s to healthy days for us all!
@@WhiteLabWorkshop thanks. I agree with you.
Happy Easter.
Im currently doing my finger hockey out of an old drawers i found in the streets. I hope it work. 100% manually not machine involved lol
That means you will appreciate it that much more when you finish it! 😁
Me and my dad were going to do this ourselves but then we saw your vid thank you for sharing
You are welcome! Hopefully you do make one, you won’t be disappointed!
White Lab Workshop my dad and I are almost done just need the bungee cord!
Yes!
What a great video! I like the commentary about the daughters. Hahaha! No sons? Also, that seems like a fun game! I’m too competitive, my wife might not want to play it with me. Haha.
Thank you! I do have a son, but he’s a teenager. Teens are tougher to talk into helping on these things. And it is a tough game if you’re competitive. I have gauge my aggressiveness by who I was playing. Nobody likes getting absolutely dominated 😉
You should put the robe litle bit lower then you can shoot with one hand just take the puck and pool back en shoot now you use 2 hands
Looks like a fun game that can be made with scraps and easy to play! Nice build. Is that an old Shopsmith you're using?
Thanks! It's a great project with kids too, especially once it's time to play. And if you're referring to the saw, it's an old Craftsman that was given to me in a very lucky series of events. My next video will be highlighting it more as I try to corral some of the sawdust it creates.
Nice one, This reminded me of crokinole. It's a classic Canadain game :)
Thanks! I’ve never heard of crokinole, I’ll have to check it out. I figured Canadians would have finger hockey boards on their kitchen table ready to play at a moment’s notice! Isn’t hockey mandatory up there?
Cool video and channel...love the content! All signed up :-). Have a great weekend
Somehow I missed this comment. Thank you for the kind words!
No worries brother...welcome to visit our channel anytime! Take care
Cool Video, How big should the gap in the middle be?
Thank you! The opening is 2 3/4 inches wide and 3/4 inch tall.
Another great video. Brilliant idea of using a dowel to make pucks. Game looks like a lot of fun but I saw you cheat and blocked your daughter's puck with your hand (and she still won!).
Thank you so much! And yeah, she was crushing me, so I was trying to sneak a little assistance in. Didn’t help stop the avalanche!
Saw this on pinterest and thought it was a good idea and could use up some of the scrap I had laying around. I was using a hole saw to make pucks. Using a large dowel is a much faster method.
Utilizing what you have available is a great way to go too! Have fun with it!
Great video. I made one as well for my channel. Subscribed!
Thank you! Great minds think alike, I guess. Happy to have you as a subscriber!
What are hidden doors called?
I would like to know the measurements of the woods. 🇧🇷
Check out the post from Rogue Engineer that I linked in the description: rogueengineer.com/diy-pucket-game-plans/
Are you using a 16 gauge or 18 gauge nailer?
I used a 16 gauge. One thing I learned when making some more of these for gifts is to use screws instead of nails, if you use a hardwood for the frame. My nailer struggled to get the nails into the oak I used for the gift builds. Some nice finishing screws would have worked better. If you’re using pine, like I did in the video. then nails will do just fine for you.
Would you possibly make one to sell? I’ve been looking all over the place for one of these for my brother but all the sellers on amazon have either bad reviews or no reviews. If you can I would happily pay you !
Hi Ashley, I don’t typically make things to sell because I actually don’t get a lot of time in the shop these days. This is a pretty good starter project, if you can find a friend with some basic tools. You might have to get creative, depending on the tools, but that’s the fun part! Best of luck!
Dimensions for where to drill holes
2 3/4 inches from the ends and up about 1/4 inch. The original plans came from the Rogue Engineer: rogueengineer.com/diy-pucket-game-plans/
Who invented the game? Is there an author?
I really have no idea who invented it. It goes by many names: finger hockey, sling hockey, table hockey, pucket, etc. I’m sure some research would turn up the original.
I found out this is David Harvey
