Really nice i like that you made the balls at the end solid as well and not just rounding two sheets and welding it together. I've always liked solid pieces more

Small bracelets such as these receive a lot of bending open and closed by users. The numerous solder joints are likely points of failure.

Thank you for sharing a most valuable technique re: casting sections.
I too have yet to acquire a Rolling Mill - only two years into my adventure. And as a result, I have been struggling to hammer my cast cylindrical ingots into smaller diameters for drawplate use - and one helluva workout for my arms LOL.
Your technique opens new doors for me, and a quieter neighborhood for all who live near me. Most grateful !

Great video. Is it possible to melt the silver balls rather than cast them? Perhaps a bit smaller but could this be fit for purpose?

    Nicely done!
I would however solder the pieces of wire together while still straight, and bend them in shape after.
Then it's easier to make an even solder filling at the back and the pieces will stay together laying flat on you solder tile.
I bought one of these little oxy/propane torches last week, and it's very suited to fill in holes and repair small cracks by just welding them shut, while adding some of the same material (not solder) which will stay in place more easily than solder which has the tendency to spread out.
Needs however some practice on scrap pieces to learn the proper flame adjustment (flame as short as possible, oxygen rich) and how to position the torch/when to pull back.
I learned the right welding temperature is reached when little orange sparks start to come off the silver, the glow of the metal isn't very visible because of the brightness of the flame.

Cracking job mate! ...that chess piece was a perfect plug for the mold, it'd be interesting to see a queen or king chess piece used as mold to make a cuff bracelet with crowns on the end

Hadn’t even thought of using the other chess pieces😯. I’d imagine you’d get some pretty cool finished products with them👍

Just coming across your videos I like how you get done what you need to get done without the big heavy equipment to make long wire. Have you thought of using a longer pipe? Say making a 6 inch mold for your wire instead of 2 inches or however long you make then. May have less breaks at the soldered joints. Just a thought. if I ever try to make my own I’ll try it your way for sure!!

Longer wire would definitely make it easier, but not the easiest thing to cast with my setup

    Great bracelet, good job!
Somebody settle a debate I was having with someone: are you supposed to wear these torques with the balls at the top or bottom of your wrist?
