As a Spurs fan I admire the way he sticks to his principles and he has some really thoughtful ideas about the game. He has also shrugged off the cheap criticism and petulant demands thrown his way by some of the brutally impatient members of the fanbase. I really hope he gets the time to build the team and establish the mentality to see 'Ange-ball' flourish.

Beautiful football, Ange knows how to play the Spurs way, but it's not sustainable long term with the players available. They have to be more cautious after leading. It's not fair on their defence to deal with counterattacks without protection from midfield. The best attacking football from Spurs was with Ardiles in charge, 5 attacking players charging to the opposition box whenever they had possession. Best football matches I've seen of the Premier League in 33 years in England! But the fans deserve a trophy once in a while. Their ladt one was the League Cup in 2008!

I thought the comments would be a cesspit. I've never been so happy being wrong. Ange is a wonderful manager and has done the absolute best given the situation and what was at his disposal
Sure, some managers would have done "better" in a few results by being "more pragmatic" but Ange is a man with a plan and clear identity and approach. Men like these always get rewarded with what they desire, if you know life
All Ange needs is time. Spurs should not make the mistake of losing him and staying in the same situation while Ange goes to a different club and sees immense success
People like to discredit Ange's achievements because they were in "low Quality" leagues. They could not be more mistaken.

@@paolom.6011 Our defence has been within the top 6 in least goals conceded all season....
The high line does not = bad defence. That's childish tactical analysis. Modern football is about controlling games, pressing, and having large enough squads for rest and rotations.
Lack of singings, our singings being too-young-to-peak-yet, and injuries, are the only things stopping us from nailing all those things.
We've just been unlucky against teams who defend for 90 mins in a low block then unluckily score on the counter. It happens.
That plus injuries and young players means inconsistency. Simple.
What is a great sign is the fact we beat *good* teams like liverpool, smashed both manchester clubs, villa etc.
You simply can't argue that a few unlucky results against shitty teams means our great performances and ability to go toe to toe with Europe's fines for once, is meaningless.

As long as u don't fall out of the PL..., it's def the right thing to do. Go young, almost tank and then in 2-3 seasons u challenge again for a period of 4-5 years and can even go in the market to get that Kane, Son, Mbappé, Håland, or whatever his name is atm. The cherry on top.
Prob with Levy though is that he will never buy that established superstar to get over the line..., sadly for the club or really the supporters. :|

Mate. That performance against Tamworth was vile. You recognise that, don't you?
People aren't asking you to become 80% defensive. They just want you to use tactics to suit situations.
Yes people did complain about Jose and Conte parking the bus. The funny thing about you saying that is that is exactly the reason you are here right now. Everyone was complaining about two managers in a row being boring and too defensive.
Now they are complaining, not because you are "too attacking". It is because you don't seem to ever have an answer for anything. Its either we play hail Mary's and the other team opens up and gives the space, giving us the chance to get a few counter goals, or we try playing the hail Mary, the opposition plays a low block that we can't break through, and nothing gets changed, we bang our heads against a wall for 90 minutes.
Its not brilliant football. Its amazingly frustrating.

    • @YTA5690
      @YTA5690 15 дней назад +3

@ ange is the reason those players are getting injured. In his system, the players have to press high and non stop and have to run their socks off and as a result hamstring injuries are racking up. Also because they play so high up the pitch, when they lose the ball they have to do even more running to get back down which is another cause of injuries. Also, the centre backs have to cover so much ground because both full backs invert, and it’s the sole reason why Micky van de ven is always injuring his hamstring. This style of football is draining the players, the players are physically tired and as a result they’re leaking so many goals. This style of football is not sustainable.

@@aspursy7826 That's just unconscious bias showing though. You get that right?
You don't know - so you assume - You didnt watch his yokohama team. You never saw his Brisbane roar team win that final. You probably never even watched his glasgow derby wins, where he embarrassed steven gerrard out of management. You didnt see his asian cup winning team, or see how he had Australia outplaying the bloody Netherlands in a world cup.... etc
And because of that, you're underestimating his skills and achievements while slightly overrating the prem's difference to other leagues.
Its still just football. Wenger won the J-league then went straight-over to the prem and revolutionised arsenal - Ange won the J-league and is now in the process of revolutionising spurs. Its not that complex. These leagues are better than you assume.
The amount of joy this manager has brought fans of his teams is incalculable.
The best managers in the world like pep have for nearly a decade now talked about how good ange is and how he deserves a shot in europe and the prem. He's incredibly well respected.
But you hadnt heard of him, so you assume his confidence is unearned or spurs faith in him is unfounded. When that's clearly wrong.
Spurs have smashed city and united this season. Theyve just had a few bad losses to worse teams. Its called an injury crisis. Everyone has to deal with them
Alls i'm saying, is when he *does* bring lasting success to spurs - don't be surprised to hear a few "i told you so's"

Anyway, my entire point is "league quality" is pretty-darn subjective. His achievements are many, and certainly more impressive than you seem to get. Thats really it.
