मैंने इंजीनियरिंग की फिर प्राइवेट सेक्टर में काम किया 2 साल फिर मैं उत्तरप्रदेश सरकार के सरकारी स्कूल में टीचर बन गया और अब मुझे 65000 सैलेरी मिलती है 4 घण्टे काम करने के कोई टारगेट नही कुछ नही। इतना सुकून है कि आप कल्पना भी नही कर सकते। इसलिए govt जॉब का कोई मुकाबला नही है

not 30 bro.. upto 25 only..u will lose tag of iit.. people forget that tag after that
saddest part is why everybody is so concerned about respect in the society. This is key reason most of the IAS officer become highly complacent after cracking civil services and hardly take good initiatives to change people's life. The day when people believing that UPSC is just a mean to serve that society , we ll start witnessing massive change at ground level.
Most of the IAS officers are coward and corrupt people in the system. They're are the real deshdrohi along with politicians. Especially with current central government, they have became Bootlickers.

as per my point of view most of people who reside in metros prefer IT , corporate field. while people who live in either towns and rural area prefer gvt jobs.

Not true, even in cities people prefer government jobs. IT jobs is just like a safety net. Agar government job na mile toh IT mei jao. This is the mindset i mostly found in cities.

Having studied in both a private college and an IIT I could really feel the change in people's mindset after cracking IIT. The jump in respect was huge. People have different perceptions of life and success. Take the path which you are happy to take. Be a good human first. 🙂🙂

I figured out what to choose and moved with private Job.. for me money matters most.. being IITian everyone forced me to prepare for upsc but I never felt that way for UPSC. everyone has their own preferences

Sir mere 12th class mai 60% hai or mene animation ka course kiya tha or aaj me ek famous animation company mai director hu. Iam very happy ki mene apna pasion follow kara or aaj meri 1.5 lakh monthly salary hai.
Accha hai bhai, hum to 25-30k month salary ki job ke liye taras rahe hai 😭
In short govt job is good for decent survival with good status and respect ....

See my current age is 28 I’ve graduated from IITB and I work in a reputable Mnc, basically it’s like if you get into a govt job you will get respect I agree but uk at end of the day money matters for me it’s like money is everything govt job is like a lock in, you don’t have a growth mindset u just settle and no challenges so it’s like more money better opportunities and get out of this country that’s all
But in government job more extra incentive holiday and extra other profitable things etc but in private job it does not happen.

This is the true reality behind so called nation's patriot economists(private sector employees)...while giving gyan to society on private jobs pros they also pretend to be working for nations growth...but after few years when they think now some other country (like america,uk,germany etc)needs them for economic growth they prefer to leave their mother land..hats off to such great private sector employees..may god fuck them

Why I don't go for Civil Services, because I can't enjoy whole heartly whenever needed. Life is available once; we should enjoy as much as possible through required earnings.

One more advantage of cracking ias exam is you crack society and social normss
If your family financial situation is not well, please go for govt job(if option is available), at least for first 3-5 yrs and build some wealth and savings, then switch to private job, if you want. But if you're ambitious and don't have much financial baggage, go for private job. Psu starting salary is very good, compared to most private jobs but after 5-6 yrs, private job salaries grow well and there's hardly a change in psu salary even after 2 promotions

Society pressure is one of the biggest factor affecting our life. I am also from IIT and working in a good private company. But when I tell this to my friends, family and teachers, all of them, their expression change suddenly as if I am doing something wrong. I know that ideally it should not affect us but practically it is very tough to ignore all people specially those who are very close to you. Khi na khi it hurts me and I loose motivation and feel frustrated.

Having studied in India and getting several degrees from premier institutes in the US and UK, my life experience tells me that degrees and institutions don't matter. Implementation and execution do. What many people don't understand is that an institution is only as good as the understanding it gives a professional about the subject, its execution, and one's responsibilities as a professional. Even the best institutes in India, like IITs, IIITs, AIIMS/PGI, IIS are fairly mediocre or sometimes below par when compared to international institutes. Graduates from these places need an additional 2 to 4 years of training (advanced as well as professional) before they can become competent at their jobs. This they acquire in institutes outside India, and not within. This applies even to senior scientists and most high-level administrative officers (government servants or "public servants").
