If even the Kripp isn't fully sure if these nodes are bugged or not, how the hell are we supposed to know xD
Haha truuuuuuue brother
True
Aka minion just doesn't work XF
Merge brains with wudijo?
20:41 so much going on its hard not to get sleepy playing this game.
😅
I just don't like how some enemies in D4 will ignore your minions and just keep going after you instead.
I'd say that's the worst issue of all 😂 no one else has called that out. I believe it has to do with levels as I notice when I powerlevel a friend's adds go out of their way to ignore me. Typically arpgs make minions higher level by skills etc. So if there is indeed some level targeting threat aggro, that seems to it.
Just sucks that they pushed minions to be an end game build and you don't get to enjoy them through the leveling experience.
Sitting there hording loot in hopes they get buffed. Looking at paragon and how much scaling is in there it just seems unfair that that can be cut back and put more with an emphasis on their base.
What the video sums up is minions are way far away from a viable end game build. They have a good core but it just appears they are there to augment the best abilities that are already great and weakening them in favor of adding minions to the mix. So bone spear but sacrifice all the benefits and scalability of bone spear to just have minions.
If they held aggro well they'd be viable for say not needing bloodmist and or bonestorm, maybe even a curse.
If feel they are missing an entire skill because neither minion if effective on its on currently and they take two skill slots.
That’s only the butcher really.
this is fine honestly, the problem though is when you are running away from such mobs, like the butcher for example, your minions spazz out and spend 90% of the time bumping into each other and not attacking the mob. Because lets be real, one good pair of boots and you can kite pretty much any mob.
@@orestisp man, how can you say this shit when there's video evidence of disproving this
lmao
It would be way too strong if enemies didn't know how to focus your character. Imagine if enemies just randomly selected targets, and you have 13 minions out. That would pretty much be equivalent to a 93% damage reduction for your character because there's only 1/14 chance an enemy even chooses you as their target then.
Still eagerly awaiting for Kripp to update his minion build with the one he's using.
afaik kripp is playing fire wall sorc ans rania is playing necro
maybe do one your self.
Not that complicated. Try it out and the bs that it doesn't work later it does people just want to zoom across the map and kill everyone on map in one sec. Sure little slow but works well.
@@D2jspOFFICIAL You're wrong bud, he's currently been playing necro himself and has been streaming it.
@@toshman696969 agreed. i play summoner necro and it is a little slow, it's a pretty safe playstyle especially vs bosses
Really Appreciated those 20minutes, from the technical and mechanical analysis to the mindset and how the Minion master Necromancer should think to understand the logic of an army of drunk skeltons. Really learned a lot and blessed to benefit of your hard word. Thank you so much for this one, you offered us a pretty good time within all aspects related to the class and the player who's using it . Dig it, that was fantastic.
Great video! Thanks for explaining many of these points. One thing I noticed that helped me find out how an item affects my minion damage, was to look at how the damage of my iron golem slam changes. Usually translated to their overall damage as well.
My only real gripe is how your minions don't rush into enemies in dungeons, instead needing you to tag enemies or you/themselves get hit to engage most of the time.
Yep, this is a big one and needs changed
My best summoner build arpg experience was with a golemmancer in POE. It was all because of that one gem that makes all your minions use the Aggressive AI and actively seek out enemies to fight. Really wish that was the default AI behavior in any kind of arpg with summoners.
But then you gotta wonder if "superagressive" is the best setting for them. I dont think it is to be honest. If they spread out to far cause they are chasing some mobs they will become incredibly uneffective and get sniped quite easily by mobs. Also: what about situations where you need to focus them? Like in certain events you need to focus specific targets to master tge event. Currently that works pretty well, i think. In context i mean cause minionbuilds are notoriously bad at these things but in d4 its okish due to how miniontargetting works.
And what about gobos? Like when you spot a gobo the last thing you want to happen is a single skeleton hitting it from affar and triggering it to run away. Etc.
In every ARPG i ever played minions where i could set the aggressiveness of their behaviour i never went full avgro cause this setting always caused such issues. As often in life the middleground is the way to go and i think blizz is hitting the middleground pretty well with minions atm.
I play minions, and I can confidently say that there are several buggy Minion nodes on the skill tree that don't work at all. Also my minions health jump up and down sporadically and when I dismount my minions don't have full health anymore from when I mounted. As of right now minions are only good as ZDPS. They can freeze, stun, cause vulnerable and can assist in many other ways. But yeah, they feel pretty bad.
Can't wait for the full revised build. I'm already playing what I could catch on stream and it's completely trivializing even Elite Packs on WT3. Bosses die in seconds too. I just need, well, the rest of it.
You have any info on whats he changed? I'm going off the one posted form jun 7th on the moba site.
@@oAPXo Only that he uses Golem as basic, Blight, Skeletons, Shadow Corpse Explosion (later Explosive Mist), CDR Decrepify, Bonestorm. Full minion skills, corpse fortify and essence, the usual. No points to level damage skills because summons and bonestorm are all that mattere there.
Take all the Bonestorm aspects, probably Barrier on Hitting Elite, any Shadow damage legendaries probably minion cap, and for a long time he was running the cold mage legendary for AOE. I use blight pull in one slot for some utility.
Minions are I believe corpse reapers, essence cold or 5x bolt shadow mages (unsure what he picked as mages don't stack the shadowblight legendary), vulnerable iron golem.
Obviously start with cult leader and get shadow boards later. Focus max armor and minions on paragon. Otherwise I don't know.
This is why I wish he would post the build though. I'm not sure what his exact skill spec, legendaries, or paragon boards are.
Kripp is like an ARPG engineer. Very smart guy… Happy to sub!
Now to try a minion build :)
16:30 been watching kripp on youtube for like 10 years and i dont think i've ever see him do a cut in a one of these videos lol
good job dex
'The minions' ai are like an army of drunk dudes and i quite like it' - Kripp
Not sure it was the most effective explanation, but it was fun to listen to for sure lol
I was looking for this comment about Dex. Ultra rare Krip cut in the vid indeed
This was incredibly helpful! I have a lvl 70 minion necro that I have stumbled into a lot of this on my own but there was a lot of info in this video that was still new to me! I am using a 2H scythe, I have been using topaz and I used deathraiser like you did. Can you please share your paragon tree for the minion build? The link goes to your sorc build.
Yes, very helpful! I'm just about to 70 and have been playing blind, so I was happy to see that I was playing mostly the same way. So, great validation for my game choices, but also very usefeul to fix a couple things I could have done better.
We really need updated necro build. The one that's on the site is different from the one showed in this video. ;]
I was actually one of the original people who reported that Hulking Monstrosity wasn't working well over a week ago. This was day two into the early access. Then about a good week later I downloaded a video software and went to go do some extensive testing and... it worked.
It wasn't in any of the patch notes, it wasn't mentioned by blizzard at all. But suddenly I could actually prove that certain things were working for minions, as they were actually doing more than their tooltip whereas they weren't before. (All testing was done against the same mob type of equal level to myself.)
Thanks for putting the time in for us, just in case no one has said it yet.
I am so glad Kripp is playing this. He is an amazing content creator.
I cry when minions sit in a poison pool and you are helpless
minions are so fun to play. did a nightmare tier 30 without doing anything. i only used raise skeleton the entire dungeon xD
You link a fire sorcerer build in the description instead of the one you discussed in the video. Couldn't find an updated minion build authored by you anywhere. I think I was able to piece together most of it from the really good information you gave, but I'm missing some small details from the paragon board and the top of the skill tree that may not actually matter. I was previously using the Ramping Minions build by Aceofspaces. It worked really well, but making if a few minor adjustments based on your info made it perform significantly better immediately. Thanks!
It crazy to think that Last Epoch has better minion system. Like by a mile, even a plank distance lol
so they are dogshit in last epoch? im so confused
Do you know what a plank distance is?
@@Stiksta a very small distance its 35 zeros.. xd
That's the dumbest shit I've seen anyone say this week.
@@Stiksta my bad I always mistaken plank distance as more than light year
I haven't seen a Kripp video in years, just found out he is playing Diablo 4. His diabo 3 content was great as was his inferno run. Looking forward to tips and tricks I gleam.
Basic skills in general are a good tool to command your minions and switch them to 'battle state'. I'm running thorns build with Reap atm and just swinging in vague 'general direction' of the enemy, without actually hitting anything, sends all my skellies to attack.
Thanks for this vid, Kripp! Minion builds are always my first go-to with any game if available, and I have been LOVING the Necro in D4!
Kripp I’ve been following you for years, love your content bro! Can you do an updated pure minion build, stats and uniques and lego aspects? Much love brotha!
Lucky Hit minion build thing wuzzup post right here
Plz forgive for not remembering all spell names tho I think i describe them well enough for people who are playing NEC themselves. Hehe
I've got a lvl 52 nec so far and just been enjoying my time side questing my way for 2 skill points in each zone before main questing on.
Anyways. I'm going thorns build with a shield and wand for lucky hit with no basic skill and mainly use that uh... Boomarang scyth build Core spell along with army of the dead. I get cooldown reduction from hits from the dmg reduction curse along with chance to stun and get all my essence needs taken care of from iron maiden 2nd tier upgrade plus 6 per corpse consume skill. Ah yeh amd ice mage essence generation. Also the skill that gives 12% corpse generation on hit at 3/3. Got the shadow dmg chance to stun skill as well after movement speed from shadow skill. Seems to really work well for me. Able to kill goblins now np tho it was painful till I figured how to not use dexompose anymore )the most boring skill in the game I imagine;P)
One thing to keep in mind is that the core ability gives vuln every 4 casts which is good with a 1 hand but also that if you are in the sweet (close) spot range, the spell hits 4 times with the 25% dmg for the travel distance and all these can lucky chance. I roll through everything right now and it is fun. I also assume a thorns buff is coming inevitably so I'm getting good at the play style. Looking forward to having the imprint for 30% from both curses on soon. 😊
You mentioned that cdr could be a potent thing with these builds and I can spam my army of the dead quite often with my weakness/anguish w.e. it is called curse. There are just so many hits happening. I can make my golem taunt CONSTANTLY. I NEVER have npc's in events die. Full radiant chests always.
Much potential here, fellas
Listening to Kripp explain things I get the sense that all the stats, items, skills and minions were designed separately with little concern of how they worked overall and with each other. I have not seen stuff so weirdly implemented in an ARPG like this before haha. Stuff that every other game does, somehow they threw that out the window and came up with some weird system that just hinders you at every step.
Also quick note btw: Attack Speed for minions seems to be flat out Animation Speed. They move faster with higher Attack Speed modifiers, which is kind of hillarious.
Nice summary. It earns you a follow and like 😁
While possibly not so optimal, i put +2 mages aspect always to my amulet so i can have even number of skeletons. Vexes me greatly if their numbers are uneven.
But it is more fun with plus 3 or mages
This is what you want to do, especially with the Coldbringer's aspect which allows mages to cast blizzard. Having that additional mage is important.
@@Giminy When Blizzard fixes shadow mages you will be using them over cold. Casting blizzard doesn't scale well in late game when Necro has no many better aspect options.
As far as I noticed any build a class has is composed of two things:
1. Main dmg source.
2. support/buffs.
From my pov, thorns can be considered as part of 2.
They are a nice addition to some builds. For instance, I play a shadow necro with corpse explosion on shadow. Feels incredibly powerful in dmg and indeed completely overwhelms any of my 5k+ thorns. This was going on since lvl 60 (me at 75 now). But given that my build is also tanky (using shield, ton of resistances and life on kill) for the "x more dmg per second up to 30% while standing still" and just sit in the middle of all the mods, thorns can be a nice addition to the whole dmg, especially with the aspect that AOE's thorns. As the build that I am playing is highly RNGsus related (you need lucky hit procs), if my main dmg falls off, thorns can actually help finish off an enemy. Not to say that if you go afk in the middle of an area, enough thorns can guarantee that you ll be AFK farming while being safe from life on kill. Till the first elite... but still
This is so useful, thank you. It would be good to have some test dummies in the game.
The golem is meant to have unstoppable when using the slam, but it gets caught on scenery a lot.
I guess the intern they used to design the Mount was also assigned the Golem
Reccommend casting it as close to the current location of golem as is unobstructed. The range of the taunt is quite large so it usually does what I need. Also, this mostly only happens while currently engaged. If you aggro the fight with a curse and taunt immediately before it starts autoing it works as intended everytime imo
@@Yikum24 No it doesnt, there's been plenty of times I've aggro'd a fight while not currently in one, had the golem move to slam and get stuck on a door or otherwise some other scenery. It doesn't happen often, but it does still happen
needs to be a jumpslam from anywhere to anywhere
@@retnuHDJ Yeah, you are right. It isnt a work around to that specific issue. I guess I got off topic and was only addressing a certain scenario where it seems like the golem will prioritize it's auto attacking/targeting changing+subsequent positioning before deciding to finally listen to the casting input. MB
I love your voice man. Please upload three videos a day all about Diablo
Love this video! The drunken army was spot on! XD i love my necro but i wasnt abel to understand anything about minion scaling so thanks for this!
I feel very lucky that you play minions, too. I’d been lost without your info. You’re the true Necro master here.
Some good information on keeping minions alive here. I thought my investment into their survival was pretty good, but there are certain affixes that absolutely decimate them. Those frozen walls and obelisks, along with certain mob types which I forget their names...an elite pack will spawn on me, and even though I am making sure to heal my guys, they all die without me being able to save them.
That said, if I disengage an re-summon them, followed by approaching the pack from another angle, I tend to do a lot better. Anyways, I do feel like some affixes and mobs which players NEED to dodge stuff are not tuned properly for minions who...well, as Kripp said, they're like a swarm of drunk people.
Been trying to figure out where to put my bonestorm powers, but one thing I can immediately change are the topazes...that just makes so much sense.
I would love sseing a similar video for the druid companions. Does it work the same? At least for wolves? Do ravens and the creeper get any of your stats at all?
iron golem is the single coolest summon in diablo and I will do everything in my power to keep it in my build.
I love how casually krip says the shadow node doesn't work. I sat up in my chair and now I'm furious. Wtf. 70 dollar game and it's this half baked!!!!!!
That's crazy my Shadow mages proc Shadowblight. I can stand there and watch them proc my two lego ascepts for Shadowblight as well
7:50 - i did test shadowblightstacking with minions quite a lot and its weird, to say the absolute least.
Here is what i figured out. Minions do apply the shadowblight debuff (at least the visuals (a smoke cloud around the target) appear when a shadowmage hits an enemy that you havent touched before).
They also do stack blighted aspect but not nearly as effective as one might think.
I toyed around with minionattackspeed and numbers of shadowmages and neither seemed to have an effect on blighted aspect stacking. Now obviously this is pretty hard to test since you dont have consistent mobs and consistent minionperformance * but i would assume that a drastic change in minionattackspeed or numbers of shadowmages up would make a noticeable difference. But it didnt.
Because of that i am fairly certain that the game either has an internal cooldown for shadowblight and/or blighted aspect stacking with minions (you yourself can stack it quite a bit faster in dense mobs with shadow-aoes) OR, and my gutfeeling says that thats the case the game treats the attacks of your shadowmages as one attack as far as the shadowblight hit is concerned. So you dont attack 5 times with 5 mages, as you would assume, you only attack once. This would also explain why you dont get nearly as many armorstacks from the aspect of Disobedience. One would assume that running around with 10 minions would stack this up in no time. And, once again the minionattacks do, in fact stack these armorstacks but very slowly. With minionattacks alone i only get to like 15 stacks max. (with my own attacks included 50-60 is the max i would ever get (with a 2handed scythe)). If your 10 minions wouldnt attack 10 times though but only 3 times, once for each miniontype this stackingbehaviour seems about right so...
So yeah. Something is really weird with minions. I would love Blizzard to look into this or, when it is intended give some clarifications. Currently i am a bit in limbo about my minionsupported shadowmancer. I use minions for utility only which means that +2 to mages or the stacking attackspeed buff from aspects may be absolutely useless to me or be quite good and i kind of would like to know. Also i would really love them to change blighted aspect stacking in general. Right now it takes forever to stack it up. When you do you get an insane dmg spike, yes but the stacks go away when you mount or dont fight for a while and, obviously the spike often comes at moments you really dont need it or you get cced for 80% of its duration and thats really frustrating because it takes so long to build these stacks. To give reference: in a 5 min. worldbossfight, which is about the best situation where you can stack it fastest you get about 2 dmg-phases with blighted aspect.
I' d rather have blighted aspect be less potent but being up a lot more often. Would feel a lot better gameplaywise and currently its even hard to justify picking it up even if you run a full shadowbuild because its just superunrelyable. World bosses is really the only situation where you can even rely on it to begin with.
*for example: blightstacking works fairly well in a bossfight situation since all focus on one target which has shadowblight constantly. If your mages spread out their projectiles often just applying shadowblight its hard to measure how good they can actially do that. And even if you did a worldboss you would have to factor in downtimes because occasionally mages will go down or be out of reach after Ashava jumped away etc. Yeah. Very hard to test this stuff in detail.
Thanks a lot for this vid👍🏻 - I think I have to change some things in my build and see how it works. Keep up the great work and have an amazing day, cheers🤘🏻🍻
ive just recently been saying how my minion keeps on dying and you went in making this video for all us suckers, thanks man, appreciate it, just finished watching your podcast with asmon and the guys
Glad to see some more info on minions. Personally gave up on them after lvl 70-80+ and switch to bone and then back to a solo darkness build which ive found more fun. Might have to go back and give them a try.
This guide keeps popping up. Time to watch to get it off my list. I can't get my druid minion build off the ground, so I went with meta druid storm thing.
I just want 18 skeleton, 10 mage, 1 golem, and 2 dozen revive enemies like Diablo 2 Ressurected... I wanted to plague the map with my army.
why is the link to kripps sorc build? and his necro build on the site dosn't match
I was having this discussion on the forums trying to figure out whats working, and the conclusion so far is that the all buffs to minion damage are indeed working, the issue is that the bloody game doesn't give you any feedback besides watching the minions damage very carefully with and without the buff to determine if its working or not....
My issue with necromancer minions is theme, visuals and how unimaginative they were with book of the dead. They could have made the reapers look like heavily armored deathknights, skirmishers to be rabid ghouls, defenders as skeleton warriors. Then change it with book of the dead. For example reaper upgrade 1: a single powerful deathknight, upgrade 2, several deathknights but weaker. Stuff like that to mix and match few elite undeads vs horde, different visuals etc. It's not the stats, min/maxing and efficiency that bother me. It's that they took the necromancer minion theme - and went for the least creative most boring unimaginative possible feel. You can tell the dev that designed the necromancer minions is creativly bankrupt. I apologize for being harsh here. I love the class, and the game, but the necromancer raising an army of undead as a theme was botched.
thats coming to the shop soon
@@ripsyI Hope werebear skins are coming aswell
I agree, they could give minions better visuals as you gain levels.
I'm running Minion build since day 1. I am lvl 96 running T50, thorn build with Razor plate + minion inherit % of your thorn is the best way to clear the map.
- Using Shield with thorns, Minion ASP and minion HP
- Having rings, pants with minion inherit % of your thorn
- Shield type skele with thorns 30% (I dont use corpse)
- Cold Skele mage for Mana
- Amulet with Minion ASP
- Mendeln for thorn and ASP
- Bone spear for Vul
- Topaz or Emerald for armor
Having party make my build useless coz monsters HP are boosted with party.
Overall Diablo 4 minion build is the most awful minion build in all ARPG I played.
Hey Kripp, any chance you can update your build for minions? thanks! :)
Hello Sir. Thank you for this info. I was so confused when i decided to play necro. Path of exile spoiled me so easy to play minion build. I was so frustrated when my minions kept dying and the gear was not helping. I was using shadow build but it felt like a betrayal of what necro should be. I went home today and made changes to my build to mimic yours. I am now detroying tier 4 helltides which is fav content
The build in the description is wrong
bruh everytime i had max minions and summoned i thought i was wasting time i had no idea that thing was the skele priest wtfff
I'm so glad my thought process on my minion build was correct.
Interesting stuff, I started as sum and my build was almost identical to yours, but then I moved from blight to bone spirit. What a great surprise to hear you mention that at 20:15.
Summons just deal no damage, their utility as tanks is awesome, but they force you to play a hybrid build and hybrid builds are bad in this game.
It feels kinda good knowing i pretty much already doing things right. By the time i got the first glyph i had Bloodless Screams and wanted to build around it. Which just kinda led me to a very similar set up
When will the build link for the necro be up? the current link takes you to the Sorc Build. Thank you so much for your time in explaining some of these minion concepts
Never played necro but there's a lot of generally applicable info in this video. On my barbarian I started focusing on high base attack low attack speed weapon types because I realized that I was gated by fury, NOT attacks per second, so getting more damage per hit is just a free way to make my fury significantly more efficient
Yay just the video I was looking forward to from Kripp!
Can we get the link to the build and item stats kripp?
Sweet, just when I started a Necromancer!
Kripparian is shadowing me, with his Sorc then Necro choice! :)
Thanks for the video Kripp!
Thank you for this, I’ve been feeling so unsure. I’m happy I’ve made the choices I’ve made.
they should all attack off certain abilities or w/e is on your right or left click
Build link to a firesorc. cant vind the one you running here on the side either ?
So does the damage from a 2-hander make up for the fact that you have 1 less slot for an ability from a legendary?
Does the +minion damage from shadow basic and core skills stack? (I stacked hard into the shadow passives, after minion passives of course, b/c of the +minion damage buffs)
Skeletal mages with the blizzard ability from legendary equipment will initiate battle on their own. Most of the time when an enemy scrolls onto the screen, it already has inclement weather attacking it.
Switched to a 2hander and it did significantly increase dps, though the legendary I got rid of was one of the possibly buggy ones (Ultimate improves minion dps 90%)
Ive been alot into necro build vids and this guys a brain indeed. The level of his knowledge and dedication is ancestral. 😊
bruh. With how much Kripp understands and figures out from the outside perspective of a player, imagine how amazing he'd do as a dev on the team
Lol you don't even know if that guy could code.
Thank you very much for the info. Will you update your minion build? It is massivly different from what you have on the screen now.
How do they fuck up something as simple as a basic stat increase? Holy shit, the incompetence at modern game studios never ceases to amaze.
I have a lvl 99 Necro summoner, I have only played minions so i get how they work really well. I played 2 hander up until 90+ then I found a build where my cast speed was critical to doing decent DPS, healing and CC. The build consistently puts out crits with a 1 hand and focus that sit around 400 to 500k this is from 7 reaper warriors, the mages are doing nothing at this point other than throwing chill and blizzard with some small battery supprt. the Golem hits hard too but is really a targetable stun/vulnerable. If i get the right rotation off the warriors will crit for over 1 million damage.
I lost a small amount (relative) of damamge and picked up the ability to spam my lucky hit generator which made the unique ring procs go off the charts.
I'm very confident the army of the dead legendary works. The damage increase is just very noticable. Also try activating army of the dead while fighting a pack with greed and you'll notice the gold pouring out much quicker
Knowing what you know now, do you think you'll update your Necrolord build on Mobalytics? Seems like you've got it as caught up to the current state of things as possible, and it would be mighty helpful to us minion enthusiasts. Nice video, either way.
Thanks for the helpful video, Kripparrian!
Made the biggest, ugliest two-handed scythe I could after seeing this, and my army's damage nearly doubled. Also grabbed the Flesh eater legendary node since it buffs your character sheet damage and now elites 10 levels higher than me are dying in seconds as opposed to minutes. (currently I'm level 87)
Now, If only my golem could figure out how to navigate a crowd.
the worst thing is those elites who shoots out three fire bolts and explode upon death. those are the minion killer.. those things kills minions so fast that its frustrating
Thanks Kripp! Please update your Necro build on mobalytics! :D
Will there be an updated guide for minion necro in the future?
this came at a perfect time. lvl 80 with necro and kept wondering wat i could do to improve. Thanks for everything as always kripp!
Thanks for this Kripp. Quick request, is to show your gear and skills too.
Could you do a summoning necro build guide would love to see your thoughts for the build
Thank you for this. You have always been the best.
The build linked in the description is wrong, and on the website the necro build "by kripp" looks quite different from the one featured in the video
Blood surge minions for the win!!! Man popping blood explosions from all your minions while they give you resource, control and vulnerable. Its the best necro build or honestly any minion build i ever played. Check out the build of Last Rights
I think this is the play. Using the unique blood nova neck for minion with the unique ring. Tho I think the bone spear echo helm could work well too
I wish it actually counted as a blood surge though and scaled with the blood skill points T_T it would be so nice if the blood surges from the minions gave you overpower stacks
@@deskmanatee there is a guy who posted a guide for this hardcore build on max difficulty making the game feel like a joke with blood surge and minions. The build is a thing od beauty
@@deskmanatee check it out his name is Last Rights
@@Rathial then it would have been wayyyyyyyyyyyy too op. Check out Last Rights build
They mostly just need to make you able to control minions targets. supressor and champion mobs basically make it unplayable especially late game, because you can't get your minions to do what they need to.
Yeah, I can't kill a treasure goblin before it escapes for example. Or, my minions attacking an immune boss instead of the shielding mobs, etc.
Could we get the link to the build please? Really want to try this out
We know devs definitely listened to Kripp video on resist. Let's hope they see this too & fix any bugs & issues highlighted.
No matter how you spec your minions, they're always a secondary damage source. Typically your summoner wouldn't do any damage, and just serve as a buffer/debuffer to minions and enemies, as your army wrecks. But in D4, they never actually get more powerful then your Necro, so they just always feel bad.
Happy to be watching more kripp.
if kripp is saying something is f'd up, its f'd up. The ultimate intelligence vs the ultimate game company, kripp wins everytime no arguement.
Only issue I have with minions right now is they have next to no agro generation. Even the Golem when you use the taunt one the moment taunt wears out they run off from the Golem to chase you around. (Mind you this is even if you havin't attacked and Golem was actually hitting them)
It would be way too strong if enemies didn't know how to focus your character. Imagine if enemies just randomly selected targets, and you have 13 minions out. That would pretty much be equivalent to a 93% damage reduction for your character because there's only 1/14 chance an enemy even chooses you as their target then.
@@myhuntclips4848 You forget one minor thing, our minions select targets randomly also. If we could control what they attack or pack up on it would be nice but I've seen minions run off to the edges of a fight before to chase one enemy while the rest chase me.
I see you changed stuff around from your previous necro build, mind giving us a updated build link?
20:50 "Imagine an army of a bunch of drunken people" that's sums it all YEP lol
Kripp is a diablo legend 😎
Great work! Hey I would like to ask you about edgemaster aspect. It says "skills" and I noticed the item stat "+summoning skill damage" so does the stat from edgemasters aspect for all skill damage work for minions 100% as well?
22:20 this… combined with bone golem and his amazing taunt shout.
Right now it’s like you said to wonky and sometimes it takes a while till he charge your target.
But with that knockback mechanic it would be awesome.
Were do we find kripps minion build
16:32 druid wolves agreed 🤣🤣
I love you so much for making this video. Regarding the scythe damage, does the damage on hit for a focus offhand count, like will it sum it with the main hand? I tried to run iron hold with focus vs shield and anecdotally it felt faster but I'm not confident in that
@Kripp So which one is it? 2hand or 1 hand? You list 1hand in your wirtten with dmg while barrier up and say 2hand here? I currently have pretty decent cdr rolls on neck and helm but it's not enough to keep bonestorm up for every pack. I do one the other hand have an 800+ 1 and offhand with both lucky hit chance and max cdr on both. But holding back using my max roll shadowblight roll on it.
would love to see a link to the necro build ingame cuz it seems to differ quite alot from others currently^^ ty in advance
Will you be updating your minion build on mobalytics? At level 74 using it still and its awesome, but I'd love to see what you do now with more knowledge and not theorycrafting.
thank you krip even im just start watch . thanks
Biggest thing I want is just straight minion controls; Attack Target/Move To/Hold Position commands and Aggressive/Defensive/Passive AI settings. Games had basic pet commands like this in the early 2000’s, it’s so silly that ARPGs refuse to implement them decades later.
Grim Dawn did minion builds much better
I'm pretty certain, due to consoles, that focus target will never occur. Not able to do that on controller really.
@@7128jml Just means it would play how it does now if you use a controller. Not really a good reason to not implement it.
@Troika S I'd say that is inconsistent and unlikely but then again corpse explosion is smart targeted on controller and not m&k so who knows. Lol
@@troikas3353 keep dreaming, they aint going to implement a tool that can make a class 100x stronger to one platform and not another… wtf that would be like ww barb didnt get nerfed on roller but did on mnk.. it makes no sense. Just stop.
