- In this episode i wanted to keep you up-to-date on the projects that i am working on.
I am constantly in hustle on how to make it easier to film myself using the canon eosm & magic lantern. Nailing or missing the focus is quite problematic when using fast lenses...at low f-stops like 1.4,1.3,0.95,0.80 it's quite easy to miss the focus or have partial focus on subjects and not being able to fine-tune ...well let's just put it i'm kind of missing the focus quite often...so i'm in search where i could remotely fine-tune the focus.
Here i'm presenting you 2 projects, ideas where i could do that...

If I use autofocus lenses, I use spot autofocus via Zoom. For me, this is much more convenient, especially if I need to quickly focus.
If I have a staged video and have time to focus, I use manual focus with focus peaking
Yes absolutely, zoom in focus and you have it but if you don't have autofocus just manual one and you want to film youeself :-) how would you do? How can you nail the focus on you, taking into the consideration the fact that you are not at 1meter from your camera but 2 or 3 meters away...how you make sure that you are in focus when you push the record button on canon eosm ex. and you rush back at the place where you think you were in focus...? 😉
@BudgetCineMagic I rarely take shoot of myself and it’s mostly staged shooting and I know the distance exactly) Your format needs a more convenient tool, I’ll follow your project
