The most common focal length lenses available on vintage photo-cameras are of 28mm and generally with a maximum aperture of 2.8. These lenses can be from different manufacturers like Makinon,Pentagon,Kenlock,fujinon,Vivitar and so many others. The abundance of the availability of this lens on the market makes it cheap and easy to find and purchase.
As they are really cheap it is really a good camera to start with, the 28mm focal distance is actually really good and with the aps-c sensor and the magiclantern cropmood makes a good compressed image.
