    Just so you know, N428YX is an Extended winglet operated by Republic Airways for American. For a standard winglet American Eagle operated by Republic you may want to change the number to 101HQ-138HQ

      Good catch Donald! The winglets can be switched any time though, so it will depend on the users to make sure they use the right winglets.

    Even the sounds on version 1.0.4 are pretty poor, both in tone and volume. I'm not even certain they've been touched since this video. Sounds nothing like a real Ejet on takeoff and inflight has almost no wind noise. You shouldn't hear much turbine whine when flying 250+ knots .

      Personally, I've never had a chance to sit in an E-Jet cockpit while airborne, however all the sounds we created were fine tuned based on feedback that our E-Jet test pilots told us. The wind sounds above 250 knots were exactly what we did in one of our initial releases as that was important. Of course, we will never be able to exactly replicate the sounds of a real E-Jet. Many sounds are impossible for us to record, and we are limited by what is possible in X-Plane, and by our skills. But we tried our best to implement all the sounds available to us to our best abilities. We've made many changes to the sounds based on the feedback since the release, you can find all of them here: www.xcrafts.com/ejets-family/release-notes/

      @@xcrafts_developmentI'm really pushing for you guys to make this EJet a great addon, but the sounds are flat out underwhelming. The biggest problem is the core turbine sounds missing the notable "buzzsaw" at high throttle levels. The Ejets have, what many refer to, as "hair dryers" with a buzzsaw that almost resembles something like a gas leaf blower, in a way. Right now, the sounds seem to be all turbine whine with none of the lower frequency sounds such as the air being sucked in or the drone created by the cabin. Another issue is the turbine whine is never really muffled by wind noise after takeoff. Once you're climbing towards cruise speeds, the engine sounds should turn into more of a rumble, due to the higher pressure at the cowl inlet, with a majority of the overall cabin sounds coming from wind noise and pack airflow.

      @@robbyyant6213 One of the big challenges we're having is actually isolating all the specific sounds so that they can be used and incorporated into the model. But since we can only record the general engine sound, we have no means of isolating just the buzzsaw sound to then add it and control the volume of just that element. nonetheless, I forwarded your feedback to our sound guy, so that you!
      As for the muffling of noises, in the latest version the engine sounds are completely phased our by the time we get to 250kts, and in the cockpit you can only hear the airflow noises.

    • @xcrafts_development
      @xcrafts_development  5 месяцев назад

      Just to add to this. I talked to the developer of our sounds, and here are his comments:
      The "buzzsaw" noise is there, but toned way back and only at very high throttle settings. I did that due to feedback from other pilots about the plane not having that sound at all. I also listened to videos in which sometimes the plane would make the buzzsaw sound, others it didn't. This could be due to several factors, such as takeoff power settings and atmospheric conditions.
      I'm pretty sure I know what he's talking about when it comes to the "hairdryer" sound, and it is also audible, but only when next to the engine. The engine sound changes fairly drastically depending on the cameras relation to it.
      I don't know what his sound volumes are set at, and if he's referring to sounds in the cabin or the cockpit. But it does seem like he's got the engine volume cranked up if he's loudly hearing it above 250kts, I would suggest always leaving the engine sounds slider at 50%.

    Somehow the aerosoft A330 sounds better than this, ngl it's quite disappointing, especially 1:55 - having combing issues in 2023. I would expect a bit better personally for how good the rest of the aircraft is.

    • @bobfs8891
      @bobfs8891 Год назад +2

      This is not a A330 as this aircraft is expected to sound like E-Jet due the type of engine that comes with the aircraft that are much smaller than what comes on an Airbus of any kind. Totally different aircraft and certain not disappointing if you know what actual sound like in real life.

      @@hotshot4512 I am not sure what you talking about when you say that its quality is bad as to what? In what way is it bad when others find it very good and has feature that are more than what was expected from it previous release. And why are comparing it to airbus? They are not in the same classification, it like apples to oranges. Bad needs to be define and what you consider what is good in order for you to be taken seriously. In other words, other than the sounds, what other items that you find that needs improving?

      @@bobfs8891 nothing but the sounds - I am strictly talking about the sound quality here. It's not great compared to other add-ons that are releasing. The reason I'm comparing to the airbus is to compare it to the sound quality of the aerosoft a330 which is mediocre.

      @@hotshot4512 You are comparing to another addon instead of comparing it to a real aircraft. Have you ever been on one? I have and are very good, pretty close to what I would expect. I don't know of anyone else who is complaining about the sound excepts those who are use to hearing engine sound inside the cockpit which they shouldn't be. Maybe that why your are disappointed, not sure. But it does not take away from the quality of the aircraft. You can always wait for BBS sound if you think that would improve things, they done it for others. In any case its still a good aircraft.
