Here are the Frequently asked questions that people are asking about the PEV.
The first Pacific Engagement Visa ballot will be held in mid 2024. The starting date of 3 June 2024 has been announced. The Australian Government are currently finalising the details together with Pacific governments and Timor-Leste.
The PEV or the Pacific Engagement Visa Subclass 192 will allow 3000 people to become Australian Permanent Residents each year.
There will be a visa pre-application ballot process for nationals of participating Pacific Island countries and Timor Leste.
If you are eligible to apply for the PEV as a national of participating Pacific Island countries or Timor Leste you can enter the ballot for random selection to apply for the PEV visa.

Step 1: Enter the ballot
Step 2: If you get randomly drawn from the ballot, apply for the visa and pay the application fee
Step 3: If your visa is granted, you are an Australian PR

Do you pay $6K after you get the lottery?
Or pay for the renewal PR status when it expires?

It’s actually $4K but $6K with an immigration lawyer for a PR status through the normal due process.
@@DarriusADetenamo The government legislation says that the application fee for the primary applicant will be $325. This information hasn't been put on the Home Affairs website. It will be good when the application fee information is available on the Home Affairs website so there can be clarity about the application fee.
