My stage name is Carter Renee, my real name is (Herdana) " HER Dana "
Im 29 years old born January 22nd 1995. Im 4'6 in height. I live in Michigan Im from the East Side of Detroit. I started making music when I was 11 years old, I made my first song called Talents, I sung it at my Stepdads rehabilitation graduation with my then best friend. I wanted to start a girls group out of my little cousin, my best friend and I. I would hold practices in my mother's front room and we would go over the scales do re me fa so la ti do.. It never got anywhere we just kids. I never gave up on singing though. I always loved singing even as a small child at the age of 6 I performed a church song in front of the congregation for a Christmas or Easter program. I was always into performing arts.
I loved dancing as well I had my first solo singing performance in the 5th grade I song in a play called the littlest tree. I started writing poems in middle and high school. I would come home after school when I was in high school to listen to my favorite genre of music which is rnb. I'd sing with my headphones on. In the summer of 2020 when everything was shut down and we were in quarantine I uploaded a story to Facebook of me singing and that's when people really started noticing I had a nice voice. People told me I should get in the studio and work and take it seriously. I'm a very shy person I'm actually a very shy person.
I'm a introvert and i have social anxiety, because of those two things I never made my way to an actual studio. I was afraid people in the studio watching me sing and it makes it hard to concentrate on making a song. In February 2021 I purchased my first home studio set up where I recorded my first song. It was not the best quality but people still liked what I recorded. I knew then I definitely wanted to take the singing seriously. I realized I knew how to freestyle a song I would take hours just making songs over and over from instrumentals on RUclips. I even purchased a instrumental from a guy that sold them on Facebook for $20.00. I used that instrumental to make a song called VIBE I didnt like the sound or quality so I plan to remake that song. R&B music is everything to me it keeps me calm I listen to it when Im going through things.
My rnb artists influences are Summer Walker, Jhene Aiko, Ann Marie, Mariah The Scientist, Sza and Aaliyah.
I recorded my song on the app on my Iphone called BandLab.
I hope to one day work with Female artists like Summer Walker, Sza, Jhene Aiko, Mariah The Scientist and Ann Marie as well as Male Artists Chris Brown, Usher, Trey Songz, Durk, Drake, Vedo the singer, Mike X Angel, Bryson Tiller, and Jacquees.
