  • Several stroke survivors I work with have a challenge getting their articulators to work well when they are ready to talk. Sometimes their speech therapists ask them to practice saying the vowels🗣️ 👍. In this exercise, we try to speak the vowels in rhythm, which studies show can help words flow better. Moving your arm from one side of your body to the other builds neural connection, studies also show. Follow along as I lead you through this combination!

So glad you commented - a lot of people recovery quite a bit of speech once their recovery really gets underway- even when at first they don't say much or anything. I want to give you that 🗣👍. What do the doctors say? Does he have apraxia? In that case a lot of tongue exercises might be a big help yes. Feel free to visit this link if you want to continue talking. Sending ALL the positive recovery vibes possible 🤞👍🙏beyondhighc.com/contact-us/

@@beyondhighc we r in seperate continents, tslkingbfor 8 years every day. I'm not on his next of kin list ad he kept me pro vc ate from family thyshoulnt Under stand long distance connection. Many people do not. I fsound out from his co worker what happened and called the hospital myself until I found him. I told the nurses his mental health is a priority and I explained who I am and to let him know I am with him in spirit. And that I know what happened and th a t he is loved. I am not sure whete his phone is but I continue to talk to him in messenger with uplifting pictures and simple phrases of encouragement. Perhaps nurse picked it up and showed him. no gave no means to go to him nor even a passport. We've never met and got used to distance. We just confided in each other car bffs do. I think itdcshock him if I actually showed up. He is shy and awkward and w/o y lntvwsnt me to see him at his worst. Its tricky. I'll call again tomorrow and ask nurse to put phone to his ear so he can hear my voice. Although it might upset him as he is unable to reply. I left my number at nurses station to give to parents if thy wish to ring me. Their choice. In have to excercise my face too now as the bed I spoke to for 8 years cannot talk with me. I only talked to him besides people in shops s and my daughter. If only he was able to text but not that either. It's luke a rug was pulled from under both of us. He taught me everything happens for a reason and I hope he d discovers how strong he really is. He has not experienced much in life so now he has experienced a great challenge that most never do. I tell him on messenger I'm very proud for the tiniest move or sound he can make. Thanks for link and respinse6
