    Hi,
I just have a few questions. Can aphasia be easily noticed and recognized? Can a person be shy and quiet and not understand language?
    Thank you

Kiersten here and I am not a speech therapist, but I have a lot of experience talking with people with Aphasia. A lot of people in the world do not know what aphasia is. I think people see someone quiet or struggling for words and just don't understand. Yes I think people can be shy and quiet and or have a hard time with language, but so many people with aphasia WANT to talk more and be a bigger part of the world they live in, and I love that we can help with that 🗣❤.

I am so sorry that is happening. In my experience, progress is absolutely possible. Have you tried labeling things arund the house to start with reading? Let me know what you have tried 🙏.
