Get that fiesta! The transmission is a select shift 6 speed dual clutch that is much better than their powershift that was in their older ones and were terrible. That one is clean, you should buy it. Very simple and reliable cars.
I actually have a ‘19 Fiesta SE Appearance Package. That Fiesta is exactly what I have. The wheels are upgraded 16 inch wheels from the standard 15 inch wheels, the touchscreen radio is upgraded from the regular screen. And it comes equipped with fog-lights and a rear trunk spoiler. It’s definitely a good, reliable car, and I wouldn’t be afraid to get in it and drive it anywhere

That Fusion sure looks interesting. As for the MKZ and your "no cars where people died or got severely injured" policy, another good way to tell is by the airbags, as they wont go off if the car was parked. For instance that MKZ looks like it was parked whenever that happened to it

I also use all three mirrors just about as much as the front windshield...especially when coming to a stop. I have actually been able to quickly get out of the way of a car that wasn't going to stop...or couldn't stop. Moved quickly to the side and watched him slide into the car that stopped in front of me.
That Lincoln is why there has been a push to standardize bumper heights across all different types of cars and trucks, the current 24" maximum helps but many cars aren't designed to take an impact from that height. If it happened accidents could be substantially safer if everyone's crash structure is lined up at the same height

Get the Ford Fiesta That has a PA safety Inspections and emissions. PA is very picky on safety inspections. That's a selling point that it passes a safety inspection as pa is very tough to pass.

FYI the speed limiter on fords works with the My key system so you can set a master key and use your second or third key to give to your kids and limit their speed, it’ll stop em from speeding but not neutral drops lol
I'd definitely consider the Fusion, Randy. Ford is no longer making the Fusion and one thing that I have noticed is that when the manufacturers discontinue cars, the examples on the used car market increase in price because used cars are the only ones available at that point and some people really want that particular car. It does have high mileage but looks like it was maintained pretty well. A good cleaning would go a long way for it and I bet there are people who would jump at the change to buy that one, even at higher mileage. I'd definitely check NADA and maybe Auto Trader before pulling the trigger however I think this could be a good buy. If you could pick it up for $2500-$3000 it'd be even better. You might want to try making an offer and seeing if you could get it for less.
$4K for the '16 Fusion is a go. These are great driving cars you can drive for hours and not be tired. It'll be the 2.5 which is bulletproof. All those toll tags (NTTA = DFW area) tell a story, it's spent its life on the highway. Clean it up and make a few grand.

id say yes to the ford fusion se. i own a 2014 with a 110k miles. 2.0l ecoboost. absolutely love it. focus and fiesta are know for transmission issues. i had some issues with the focus i had.

The bigger blue Toll tag in the Fusion is actually a NTTA (North Texas Tollway Authority) Tag so someones been regularly driving that thing on the toll roads here in the Dallas/ Ft Worth area.... so probably many road trips... hence the high mileage

G'day from OZ, We do not get the Ford Fusion, but it's European Cousin the Mondeo from Belgium. My daughter has had one for over 5 years. The only problem is that the transmission overheats in our climate and really needs an additional trans cooler, otherwise a great car.
100% depends on MMR and other values in your area for the Focus. If it's solid car and you can do little work, you should be able to make some money through auction
Randy, either of the Fords would be a good flip. The larger Fusion should make a profit as you won’t have to put much 💲 into it. The Fiesta, at the right price, shouldn’t be a hard or 💲 fix and would bring in a nice profit. 👍
The Fiesta sedan would be an ideal candidate for your ownership comparison to the i3 👍 Granted it isn't in quite the same league price wise, but you'll get the same running costs as you would from a non salvage one😉

Night and day when it comes to reliability. Duratec 2.0's are known to get to 300K Miles before transmission starts to struggle.

Mechanical misfires usually go away when you raise the rpm. Ignition misfires usually get worse when you raise the rpm. (Usually)

Traction control is disengaged, that is why the light is on. My wife's 08 focus has that, there should be a TCS button somewhere.

That Fiesta was definitely a rental. 50k miles under 4 years old, smoker smell, and the little bar tag in the back left window.
It also looks like it has PA inspection and emissions stickers too.
Fusion should be in the range of $2600-3,200 to be feasible.. after you put in some work, it will leave just about enough margin to play with
