Been hooked on All that remains from the first song I heard "Focus shall not fail" from this darkened heart one of my all time favorite song not there best but got me into metalcore and been hooked ever since great guitar skills and keep up the love for them.
He’s only on the newest album. All albums prior, except their first “Behind Silence and Solitude” with guitarist Chris Bartlett, are the late Oli Herbert. RIP Also, yes, Jason Richardson is amazing, but nobody will truly replace Oli.
Divine is definitely a new technical sound, but the new one they just released has more FFDP meets Disturbed vibes to it (fan of both those bands), but not for ATR
Oh no, didn't play Chiron from Overcome album, that's a crime! Just joking, but i do think Chiron it's one of their all time besties, specially after seeing Jason cover it, what a banger.
Divine sounds like a return to form for them. 2006 - 2010 ATR was peak ATR. After than, Phil started descending into Trapt-level madness and thus the quality of the music declined with him.
The fact that This Darkened Heart is so vastly overlooked is criminal. That whole album fucks.
Always wanted them to re-record the drums on that album with Jason Costa after how great he played them on the Live DVD
Passion is such a ripper. Love that album
@isthatcheryl the intro alone catches right from the get-go.
easily their second best album behind the fall of ideals
It is by far their best album and the fact that people give that title to The Fall of Ideals is criminal at best
First four albums will always be goated but their newest song is growing on me, RIP Oli.
Divine is very reminiscent of 06-08 ATR for me personally, definitely agree with your statement of the first 4 albums
I had "focus shall not fail" stuck in my head all three months of boot camp back in the day.
The last bonus riff is Indictment from the Fall Of Ideals
Gotta be my favorite from that album
Holy shit Divine is Insane!
This got me in all of the nostalgia feels. I need to re-listen to the discography
RIP Oli. Your riffs live on! Well done man
Been hooked on All that remains from the first song I heard "Focus shall not fail" from this darkened heart one of my all time favorite song not there best but got me into metalcore and been hooked ever since great guitar skills and keep up the love for them.
Excellent work dude. Oli and Mike were and are riff machines. You did every riff justice and then some. 🤘😎🤘
Oli was a riff master. RIP you legend
Favorite metalcore band!! So glad to hear them back, can't wait for the new album.
Fall of Ideals was my gateway drug. Lucky enough to see them a couple times. RIP Oli
Edit SHIT that last one was cool.
Discovered them through a CZW Tournament of Death montage with Madness as part of the soundtrack, powerful song
This showed up in my feed, exactly two weeks old.
Fate 😎
God damn thats fast
Sounds great, terrific guitar work
Great video man. Also, it's wild you did this band. I'm actually seeing them this year as they open for Megadeth. Thanks for the killer riffs
They’re one of my favorites! Hope you have a great time
So many good riffs to choose from. Nicely done dude!
Thank you!
some of the people, all fo the time, is my fucking favorite of all time from them
All that remains is one of my favorite bands of all time. They just have so much good stuff. Unfortunately I can't play almost anything by them.
Yeaaaaah. Six, the greatest of all time.
Glad you played trve kvlt metal… underrated banger from that album haha. That and no knock!
Been a fan of this band since 02.
Good shit!❤
So many memorable riffs
WOW!!!!! I Was impressed with how you played SIX. Cheers
Thanks! 🍻
NICE MAN, LOVED IT . WILL START PRACTISING SOON . GOOD JOB . 💯
Nice!!
THIS IS, MYYYY INDICTMENT!!!!!
that exact schecter in the intro is the guitar i want but in 7 string form sounds great
Focus shall not fail is also another banger from This Darkened Heart
yesssssss golden content, ty very much for this!!
Best Psycroptic riffs please 😈🔥
Yeah, Jason Richardson is REALLY good
He’s only on the newest album. All albums prior, except their first “Behind Silence and Solitude” with guitarist Chris Bartlett, are the late Oli Herbert. RIP

Your BC Rich looks fucking beautiful!
Bravo dude🤟🤟
Bonus is Indictment from The Fall of Ideals. Probably has my favorite ATR guitar solo
Six and Devine are really 🤘
🔥🙌🏻
That schecter is purddy
We need a Divine cover
Wooooow 😮😮😮
Nice NJ Deluxe :)
Oli herbert mi patron
awesome!!🔥
Cool! What did you use to record the guitar? Nice dist man!
After Overcome I become I sad.
could you do some tech death like inferi
YESSSSSS
Possibly 🤔
The only thing I can think of when their older stuff comes on is that Peavy 5150 head
Divine is definitely a new technical sound, but the new one they just released has more FFDP meets Disturbed vibes to it (fan of both those bands), but not for ATR

What model is the orange jackson?
SLATXMG
@@ThomasHogue please keep videos like this coming!
Evolution from Metal to butt rock
That’s not stand up. That’s asking too much. Lol honest mistake
Oops!! Yes. I was debating between the 2 and still had stand up in my notes
@@ThomasHogue LOL all good man, everyone makes mistakes.
That’s not stand up… that’s asking too much
Whats the 1st Riff 🤨
It comes back again at the end 😁. It's their newest song
What ruined ATR for me was the vocals, the clean vocals sounded weird after their 3rd album... 2nd and 3rd album were masterpieces
couple of notes wrong in this darkened heart but i only know cause ive been playing it lately, its the biggest hand/wrist/bicep workout ever.
They had a couple of dud albums in the middle there.
Yup, between A War You Cannot Win and Madness, most of their songs are unlistenable
Was that stand up riff or asking too much 🤪🤪
06= peak
24= yeah it's technically good but no rhythm or soul
It's like "modern art". I'm sure it's impressive to someone but not me
So they never made any good riffs?
