Not a comment about the content but a thing in general I noticed during it- some people have a problem with the word "moist" but I just don't understand how the word "juicy" is remotely better.
It's always interesting to see what plants other houseplant collectors purchase and own. You seem to buy a lot of the same or similar looking plants. I'm not so interested in rare plants but ones that are interesting or different to look at.
Great Haul, you are a true environmentalist when you can say no because of you love for the plants well being, GREAT JOB!!! LOVE your new Flat and your new setting is awesome!!!
It looks so good Beech! I’ve been trying to buy from the shop so I can support you, but it sells so fast (which is good for you AND my wallet!) Congrats on the success beech!

I just got into the whole „plant“ thing and already can‘t stop buying them. I actually got two calatheas and for some reason they are right now super easy to care for. Can‘t complain! Anyway, I already have like 50 rare plants on my wishlist!
Video looks great. Loving your description of the hairy Philodendron serpens, don't mind the hairy stems myself, they're a lovely colour. Looking forward to the 'juicy' upcoming videos.
Would it be possible to make a video about curing fungal and bacterial infections in plants? I am struggling with a leaf spot disease with yellow halo on my Calathea Warscewiczii and a fungus spray I got at my local garden center doesn't really work that much :/ So yeah, I would really appreciate it if you would give that video subject a thought :D Greetings from Germany!
LadyHangaku I dealt with bacterial leaf spot on my Calathea ornata. Unfortunately, only thing you can do is cut of affected leaves to prevent it from spreading. I cut whole leaves and parts of leaves. The plant looked horrible after that but it is recovering slowly. It put out new growth that is healthy. Unfortunately, some calatheas are more sensitive to bacterial leaf spot than other. You can also read a research on this issue. Look for "Bacterial Leaf Spot of Calateha spp" by R.M. Leahy and "Bacterial Leaf Spot and Blight of Caltheas" by A.R. Chase from University of Florida. Both are available online. I also had bacterial leaf spot on one of my philodendrons - it already had some yellow spots when I bought it but I wasn't aware it was bacterial until it spread (which took couple of week) I also had to cut off affected leaves and parts of leaves and it too has recovered. I am sorry, but I am sure your calathea will pull through! Fingers crossed! P.S. Isolate your calathea so its leaves are not touching leaves of other plants or it might spread. Hope this helps!
@@basiemyles9910 Wow thank you so much for giving me so much information! I already cut some leaves but I wasn't brave enough to even cut parts of a leave where there is a little bit of infection. I really hope you won't have to deal with that stuff anymore. Wish you the best for you and your plantsies :3
LadyHangaku Thank you! :) It happens. Sometimes we buys plants like that. It really looks innocent at first but then it spreads fast. I would recommend cutting them off/ cutting part of it off. I cut some of the leaves on my philodendron in half, to leave enough leaves to support the plant. Otherwise I'd be left with one leaf xD And it did work. I haven't seen any leaf spot on either of my plants in 4 months. It is hard to do and heartbreaking but it gives you a chance to save your plant. Basically, when you read the articles you will see that it can only be controlled mechanicaly or by eliminating the plant entitrely to prevent it from spreading to other plants. I assume this is a common issue with growing calatheas in greenhouses. Try to keep the leaves dry as water sitting on leaves can promote bacterial infection. I've been wanting a Philodendron Melanochrysum for a while now, but I'm too scared of killing it :p Is it a difficult plant to keep ? Does it require a very specific environment ? I'd actually love to have a young one and be able so watch its leaves elongate as it ages *-* Right now the most "difficult" plants I have are Calatheas. I have a Rosea Picta, a Musaica and an Orbifolia and they seem happy so far (even without a humidifier). The Orbifolia I haven't had for too long though (maybe 2-3 months). The Rosea Picta grew a flower at some point. Otherwise as far as Philodendrons go I've only had a Monstera Adansonii :)

There are lots options. Generally when I treat bugs I do these steps. 1.) Hose it off to get as many bugs off as possible. This is not an option for all plants. 2.) Spray with an insecticidal soap OR dish soap and water. The soap keeps the little buggers from being able to breathe and they die. 3.) Depending on the plant and it's tolerance I'll use Neem oil to help prevent/ treat. Do a little googling on Neem. Last time I had a spontaneous spidermite problem I just treated multiple times with insecticidal soap and it took care of the issue I hope this helps and good luck!

Plants put much energy in flowering and look sad after. Does it make sense to cut it before blooming to retain powerful green leaves?
Plants often flower because of stress, it's their last attempt to propagate because they think they are dying, that's why they are like screw leaves we are putting ALL energy into the blooms. So I'd say it could also stress the plant further and make it want to produce new blooms, which would make the rest of the plant die back even more

Aglaonema are super easy to care for because they love artificial light. I have four at home and two at work and they are just the easiest.

@@KayleeEllenOfficial amazing! OK now I know what I want 😍 are the ones on your shop about the same size as this one?
Yes they are :)
New framing looks great. The depth of field looks wonderful. I really like the P. serpens, reminds me of cute little caterpillars. Do people really get triggered by that?

Look at you! Getting high on your own supply 😂
Hi Kaylee! I bought the same plant as "Serpens Red" but I think it's actually Squamicaule. Can anyone here confirm?
What’s that plant on the left all video with the pretty white leaves
I think it's a syngonium!
Lizzie McGuire Either that or a caladium.
@@Rena-ej7vv I can never tell the difference between them lol.
It's a caladium, she shows it on her houseplant tour video
Lizzie McGuire The biggest difference is that syngoniums vine, caladiums don't.
Ok but you have to name the serpens Seymour? Right out of little shop of horrors 😍
I feel a little weird being so early to a video haha! I'll take the stroke of good luck though. 💚
