I love your emphasis on quality control and research of a variety of print on demand companies. AND researching the market to be competitive with other offers out there.
I have wondered about the ‘got rich selling art prints’ videos I have seen on various sites. Too good to be true turns out to be less than true. I’m looking for local printers. Someone I can actually go to, face to face, and see what they do, how they do it, and how they handle printing and sales mistakes. No room at home for fancy printers. No money to buy what I need. I’ve spoken with several local artists about this and I am about convinced to keep it local as much as possible.
Finding a local printer can be good, it will be more expensive than printing them yourself, though. But if you don't have room for a printer, that's the way to go. I've used local printers over the years and had good results, because you can even take your painting in there to some of them and have them photograph and color match for you. Of course that is also more expensive then doing it yourself. It is a solution though and you can learn a lot from a local printer as well. Often they are happy to show you their process and exactly how they make prints.
limitation people do not think about: us artists who live in countries that do not have a post office. It can cost $1000 to use a private courier service to another country like the US.
Oh wow, that's super expensive! Shipping from the US to other countries is expensive as well. In those cases it is a really good idea to use print on demand!
Great info and really cute artwork. Now tell us about your set-up. How did you come up with that? Where do you get the panels and poles? How do you get your artwork to hang on it? Appreciate any tips and tricks! Thanks so much! 🖼️

You bet! It's so easy to just jump in, but taking time to research is really crucial!

doesnt the amount of ink you go through cery costlly?
Not really, it cost about 58 cents per print, for an 8 x 10 size for ink on the pigment based printers that I use
Is the printer ink that you use archival? Do you have to buy archival ink? Did you notice if the ink fade?
Yes, my printers are archival, archival ink is a must!
What printer do you recommend?
I answer your question in this video, plus go over other good printers ruclips.net/video/cjbzYqkJ_x8/видео.html
