Should make a Playlist so it's easy for people to find the blogs in order

Hi Debra! Thank you for making this video. It was really helpful. I have a question. Do you think it is possible to camp with hammock there? I have no idea how the campsites look like.

Hi Shana! I have never used a hammock so I personally am not sure of the tree spacinf requirements for one, but I think it would probably be difficult to use a hammock at most of the campsites. Most of them are beach camping. And even with the washed up logs I don’t know how that would work. There are some off beach pads at some of the campsites but again I don’t know if the trees would be spaced right for a hammock.
I would suggest joining the West Coast Trail Facebook group, if you haven’t already…. I do believe there are lots of hammock discussions to search there 🙂👍.

I was going to say crazy cat lady but my 2 cats reminded me not to be rude lol. It seems like a lot of stuff...I know it wasn't tho. How much did it weigh? 75L bag? And here I thought my 60+10 was big lol. Would have watched earlier but got tied up watching BB and a movie. What's next for a trip?

Haha one lives outside 80% of the time so I’m not a crazy cat lady just yet 😉
It was a lot of stuff! Lol! And yet not. It’s so hard to find that minimalist balance between a light pack and comfort! My pack was just under 40lbs at the start of the trip. Which is lightest I’ve ever gotten it - that’s including food and water.
Next up is 10days on the North Boundary Trail, cutting off to explore the McLaren Pass and Ancient Wall in Jasper National Park! Leaving this coming weekend for that adventure!!

@@debraonthego3960 10 days? Wow, really picking up the mileage huh? I believe I watched martyupnorth do that one. Nice trail, remote, not well traveled in parts. Think they had to bushwack parts of it. Will be a nice one tho. Can't wait :) Be safe

We had planned to do the entire NBT but it’s closed about 1/3 of the way. So I’m not sure what the total Km’s for our new itinerary is, but it’ll definitely be my longest trip in days but most likely will still be my longest in kms as well! I am super excited for this challenge! Possible bushwhacking and all!!
And thank you - we will do our very best to stay safe… hoping the grizzly’s stay away. Lol! 🤞🙏

@@debraonthego3960 I wish I were going. Sounds like a blast. I look forward to seeing the trip. Just you 2 going? In the case of grizzlies who out of runs faster? Lol

@@chrismetcalf1261 yup it’ll just be two of us. We originally had a group of 4 but two had to cancel. We decided we to go ahead with it anyway!! Haha unfortunately for me, she is the runner of the group. I’m the bait! 😂
I’ll carry two cans of bear spray… one on each hip 😉😂
