  • Is the Peloton worth the money? I tried the Peloton bike and the Bowflex C6 Bike and have an honest review for you.
    BOWFLEX C6 (The bike we kept!): If you decide to order the Bowflex C6, you can get free shipping for a limited time! nautilus.atkw....
    PelotonIf you decide to order the Peloton, get $100 towards Peloton accessories with referral code: M56X8X.
    In this video, I will show you the differences between the two exercise bikes, and show you the "Peloton Hack" that lets you ride Peloton classes while using the Bowflex C6.
    When you factor in the monthly subscription cost, the Peloton costs an additional $1,500 the first year as compared to the C6 bike.
    We decided to keep the Bowflex C6 because it's an excellent bike, and you can even buy a new ipad to stream the Peloton classes through the app and you'd still save over $1,000! Additionally, I like that you can use clip-in cycling shoes with the Bowflex C6 but it's not essential. The Bowflex C6 has toe cages/foot straps on the Bowflex C6, so guests can use the bike too.
    ** If you found this video helpful, you can order the Bowflex C6 through my affiliate link and get free shipping for a limited time: nautilus.atkw.... **
    The Peloton app is only $12.99 per month if you stream it on your phone, ipad, or Apple TV, but if you have the actual Peloton it's $39 a month! The big Peloton screen that is attached to the Peloton bike is only for Peloton content -- you can't use any other apps.
    You still get to track several metrics with the C6 and use a heart rate monitor, but the perk of buying the Peloton is the leaderboard. If you are super competitive, maybe the leaderboard will motivate you and the Peloton is right for you.
    For most people, I think the Bowflex C6 is a high quality exercise bike and will give you a great workout! It's super convenient to have one at home, especially in 2020 when many cycle studios and gyms are closed.
    Hopefully this video helps you decide the right bike for you! Which bike do you think is better? Answer in the comments below, and let me know if I am missing anything!

    Sometimes I think RUclips knows my inner thoughts. I have a ic4 (Bowflex's sister bike) but I am considering returning it and buying a Peloton. I even have an appointment with a showroom next week. I don't care about the leaderboard or stats because I use Kinetic. However, my biggest problem with the ic4 is the resistance conversion. I can't seem to get it right. Your video put things into perspective. Especially about the price.

    The Tracx app gives you power. I use it to track my metrics when I’m on the peloton app. It works great. I have peloton on my iPad and tracx on my phone. Tracx is free unless you want the videos, which are also great.

    • @randyspear796
      @randyspear796 3 года назад

      So just to confirm... you connect the bike to the tracx (your phone) and simply play the peloton app? Is there a way to transfer your ride metrics to peloton later?

    • @stephentannenbaum3070
      @stephentannenbaum3070 3 года назад

      @@randyspear796 I haven't been able to do that. Unfortunately, you can only connect your bike to one device, so you can't use it on both Peleton and Tracx. As for editing your Peleton rides afterwards, I don't know. Sorry.

    Thank you for this video. Did you find it rough out of the saddle at all with the C6? I used a lower-end bike and found it too choppy and rough out of the saddle compared to the higher end bikes and want to make sure you are comfortable when the instructor says to pop up on your C6.

    can you compare the resistances? is the max resistance on ic4 as heavy as max resistance on peloton? I like my rides heavy. I ride the peloton at like a 50-70. Will the ic4 have that same heavy resistance capacity?

  • @hanajang1
    @hanajang1 3 года назад +1

    The resistance #s that much different?! I’ve been trying to follow the peloton resistance on the c6 bike 😫

    Can you access the Peloton App through the Bowflex screen, or do you need to put your own iPad in front of it and view on there?

    • @LizzyFay
      @LizzyFay  3 года назад

      You need an ipad/tablet or smartphone to use the Peloton App with the Bowflex C6 bike.

    Do you have to pay the monthly fee for the Bowflex? That’s one of the things that turns me off from Peleton. I’m already spending over a thousand on a bike, I’m not trying to pay $40 per month for a membership.
    Never mind you answered my question. So if I got the Bowflex I would have to pay $12 per month?

    • @LizzyFay
      @LizzyFay  2 года назад

      Correct. The monthly rate is much cheaper with the Peloton app. Here is the blog post I wrote that goes more into depth about the bike. lizzyfay.com/bowflex-c6-review-better-than-peloton/

    Good review! Do you have any links on how to understand what the equivalent resistance is on the peleton? I think you mentioned a cheat sheet?

    • @LizzyFay
      @LizzyFay  4 года назад +1

      Thanks! Check out the link below or google "bowflex c6 resistance conversion." Some images come up with an old Etsy product that you could stick to your bike to see the conversion. We just wrote it on a sticky note. The Bowflex C6 has the same resistance as the Scwhinn IC4.

    Can you ride the bike without an app. Can you adjust the resistance manually?

    • @LizzyFay
      @LizzyFay  3 года назад +2

      Yes, you can ride without an app and you can use the knob on either bike to adjust the resistance manually.

    • @lazesq
      @lazesq 3 года назад

      Micky that is my question but please answer if you use no tablet , can the resistence NOT be manually, like saying the gym bike I put hill climb and it goes higher and lower byitself.

    You don’t need either bike to use the peloton app sparkle girl

    • @LizzyFay
      @LizzyFay  4 года назад +2

      Of course. You can use any bike (or no bike and do other Peloton classes like yoga) but you won’t have all the metrics. So it depends on your preference. The C6 is nice because it has Bluetooth capabilities so you have additional metrics when it connects to the Peloton or other cycling app. ✨💫

    There is a huge problem with the cables on these bikes , they are all failing. We have two of them and both cables went the same time. Took them 3 months to send new ones, and you have to take a part the entire machine and pull the circuit board and burn them on . There is no video on how to do it. Both my bikes are under warranty so we were told someone would come out and install them but no one showed, We have over 10 Appointments set thus far and every week they are cancelled, Garbage in and out , how I wish I would have got the Peloton . So update tech support called and had me try to install myself, once you get the cable in place now you have to Calibrate the machine using special codes and you only get 3 Tries or the Computer shuts down and Bow Flex has to replace the Computer Screen. Now Bow Flex is telling everyone that the there is Tier 3 Level Tech that needs to come out to replace it and 6 months latter both are Bikes are Bricked. If you call them today they have some NEW FEED on the Phone that tells of some UPDATE that happened in there Ware House on the housings that bricked all the controllers,, Its a Disaster. Please make a video showing how to install the new cable as i have 19 cables they have sent now . from Bow Flex / Schwinn. as they come from the tech center. Not only that each bike is completely different as far as cadence goes, my 50 cadence is on 1 bike and the other bike is only 15 , The calories that show up on the Peloton app do not match up at all with the Cals on the bowflex computer. My computer is 1000 cals for 45 min ride and my other bow flex is 300 . Over 30 phone calls to Bow Flex with more coming tomorrow and each time I learn some more horrors of the companies. At this point its a mess and no one is coming to help. But I got lots of cables with pulley tools they sent with it but its impossible to install as I am not a welder my any means .
