Hey Truedarkseed, great to have you back. You know there are literally 1000's of "cookie cutter" covers of this great MJ song, but who would have the artistic creativity to create an entire new rendition of this song and not care what people think. Anyone that can see past the original song will absolutely know that Angelina created a Jazz Masterpiece from the original, while still honoring Michaels original...it is hard for a lot of people, but I do believe you understand for sure what this young lady did here. She is one of a kind, not cut from the mold of most current day singers, (sorry Angelina is a vocal artist), there are really 1000's of singers, and interprets music the way she see's it in that brilliant musical mind she possesses. Angelina telling a story that I now understand.
This is the best cover of Billie Jean I have heard. The fact that she was able to make it hers and keep the feel of the original makes it the best.

Written by Brandon Lowrey, AKA Baby Fuzz and demo’d by Angelina BEFORE Baby Fuzz recorded his version..the similarities are uncanny! There is speculation as to why she didn’t release the song..all of which is just that, speculation..truth is it’s a crying shame and maybe, just maybe RR could pull some strings and make it happen..If so, I believe it could bring her a massive No.1 hit.

This is just what a musical genius can do. I’ve heard other female singers do this song. Most just belt the crap out of it but don’t reinterpret the song and do not focus on the story. Angelina can reinvent songs. Watch and listen to the changes she made to every Amy Winehouse song she’s performed yet kept the feel of the music the same. Rehab is the best example for me because Back to Black is just not my favorite style of song.

Angelina totally changed the song, but stayed true enough that you know it's Billie Jean. But she also totally changed the presentation by sitting while singing without moving her legs. Everything is totally different from Michael's version. Now this is a 2 for 1 song, 2 masterpieces from the same song, one is pop & the other is jazz.

It’s so good. She’s fearless about making songs her own-even untouchable songs like Billie Jean or Bohemian Rhapsody. She does it so comfortably, so easily, so beautifully. Although I did not see a credit for it, I think that the piano accompaniment is by Rob Christie who has done so several times since she signed with Republic Records. He is a two-time Grammy winner and the Director of Republic Records L.A. Studio. It appears that he has been commissioned to watch out for Angelina and help direct her career. it is a good match.
Michael Jackson's classic is wonderful and now Angelina creates another classic but only jazzy. Great to have you back Truedarkseed, see you on the next one. Great job sir.

I bought Thriller the year it came out and been singing, swinging and dancing along it for many years and times with Billie Jean being one of the songs obviously. The funny thing is that with Angelina's version, the story became much clearer to me than in the past and I ended listening up to it really close.
It is a great version in which she turned this classic epic song into wonderful jazzy version to be enjoyed on the beach sipping a drink watching the sunset. I never would have thought it to be possible :-)

I heard it was Quincy Jones' idea, when Angelina sing for his 85 y birthday concert at age of 12, that Angelina has to do a jazz-version of Billie Jean. And 3 years after that, she did it. And who is Quincy Jones? He is the producer of Michael Jackson's Thriller album and song Billie Jean.

@@truedarkseed Yes her “wish list” was first seen at the beginning of the black and white version of IPASPOY ..I’ve seen her working through her song Oslo..playing a few piano chords, then writing a few notes on her pad..I’m sure you can’t get to to playing four instruments without being able to read music..her genius lies in her ability to laser beam into the true meaning of a song she tackles.

So glad to see you back True! When I first heard she was going to cover this song, I first thought, oh boy, I'm not sure about this! When I first heard this, I was a little shocked...shocked that it was so jazzy and shocked that it was really good! She took a chance in changing up this song and she actually did it really well. There are a few critics or purists that said she should have sang it the way Michael did. If she did, she would be just a copycat. This young lady had the balls to not just sing this, but to arrange it in a way that made it her own and showcase her creative artistry. I give her a lot of props for this one.
