    Interesting to see how only four players have won all slams at least once (The big 3 and Agassi)

      Rod Laver is 5th, since he won Calendar Slam in 1969, which was already an open era! I believe he won Wimbledon too year prior...he has 5 slams in open era, that's why he didn't make this cut!

    • @Summon256
      @Summon256 Год назад +1

      Overall there are 8 men with career slam achieved, on top of the 5 already mentioned from open era, there are also british Fred Perry, american Don Budge (another person with Calendar slam other than Laver) and Roy Emerson...There are more women that achieve multiple career slams, than men however and it's worth mentioning! Steffi Graf did each 4 times and the only one to achieve it this many times, Serena and Court 3 times each like Novak, then comes Martina and Chris with 2 each, Helen Wills Moody won each slam that she ever played at least 4 times too like Steffi but she never played AO even once that's why hers doesn't count but i can guarantee you she would have at least 3 career slams! Marias Sharapova, Billie Jean King and 3 american players from 50's - Doris Hart, Maureen Connoly and Shirley Fry Irvin all achieved it only once!

    • @Summon256
      @Summon256 Год назад +2

      To Novak's, Rafa's, Andre's, Steffi's, Serena's, Martina's and Maria's credit they all did it only 3 different surfaces as opposed to everyone else, who ever did it at least once! So 7 people out of 18 ever achieved it on hard, grass and clay! Other 11 did it, when 3 of the 4 slams were played on grass and one on clay!…

      Everyone knows that alcaraz had better chances against Novak and he proved it when he defeated him in Winbeldon, despite Alcaraz plays better on clay and Novak played better in grass

    I have lived through watching and closely following tennis over 5 decades, GOAT debate is meaningless, particularly if it is based purely on titles.Only thing that was constant was court dimensions and net height.I personally think the best tennis was played during 1995 till 2007. Also Sampras's greatness is very under reported. If tennis needs to survive, they should stop making lighter rackets, stiffer strings and slower courts,Else the big 3 era that we all saw last 2 decades will be the last of it's kind.

      Nadal has as many FOs as anyone not in the big 3 have total slams. Take those away and he would still be tied for 5th most slams. Nothing wrong with that and most tennis professionals would kill for the success he has had on non clay surfaces.

      70% of his slam titles and his longest number 1 record was achieved against new gen weak era, facts not opinion, this is just a proof that novak was the real weak era champ

      Federer won many slams between 2003-2007 when Nadal was very young and dominant on clay only ,Djoker was also young ...when Rafa starts winning on other surfaces and Novak got real prime after turning out 23 , Federer badly struggled which shows that if Novak and Rafa had aged as much as Federer then Federer would have been limited to 10 slams

    Bjorn Borg records
    41 straight matches won in Wimbledon (Roger Federer also won 5 straight titles before losing to Nadal in the final of 2008 but had one walk over and only reached 40 match wins in a row)
    Highest winning percentage in matches going to 5 sets - 81.8% (27-6)
    Career win/lose record all matches - 83.1% (639-130)
    Won 3 Grand Slams without losing a set (shared with Rafael Nadal, Richard Sears and Tony Trabert)
    89.81% win/lose record in Grand Slams (141-16)
    Grand Slam Tournament won with less games lost - 32 games in French Open 1978
    3 consecutive Channel Slams (French Open + Wimbledon) 1978-1980
    92.73% win/lose record at Wimbledon (51-4)
    88.9% match record in Grand Slam five set matches (24-3)
    Borg held the record for most consecutive match wins in Davis Cup (33) until 2016 when Cypriot Marcos Baghdatis reached 36 straight match wins in Davis Cup singles matches. Borg also held the record as the youngest Grand Slam champion after his win at the French Open 1974. Seven years later fellow Swede Mats Wilander broke that record winning his first French Open and 1986 Boris Becker won Wimbledon and broke Wilanders record.
