Hi there, former Burried Seedling Nostalgic Zone developer here! I wasn’t expecting to see this on my feed but enjoyed this video nonetheless! I was hired relatively early on, about a day when the reupload released, adding plants a day later such as Cabbage-pult, Kernel-pult, Melon-pult, Winter Melon and Pepper-pult. This video is really well put together and have agreed on quite a few of your points on the game, such as adding multiple zombies which are basically reskins of each other. Another point I really agree with is power creep. Power creep can be SUPER important in games which I learned recently, rendering some plants being utter useless in the game, basically serving zero purpose. Especially Triplet Sunflower (Which I modeled, animated and added originally), It makes Twin Sunflower drastically unviable. I kind of regret adding it today even, haha. Bugs were another thing too. The game was super buggy and outright broke the game in earlier versions if I remember completely. I do miss when tunnnn was in control of the game, despite the game relatively having less content. Initially, tunnnn even passed the game down to me, even though it still got reuploaded. It’s also another reason why I didn’t work on the game anymore, more of I wasn’t really told I was kicked from the project and was working on a passion project of my own. The amount of unnecessary stuff that was being added in the game was also a bit much. Don’t get me wrong, having a lot of content is great, but sometimes too much content can be overwhelming. The admin abuse too, gosh. It was so common seeing it in public servers. I didn’t do it often, and most of the times it was just me trolling friends with it too. If I did want to admin abuse however, I would go in my private server and mess around, so I wouldn’t troll other players experiences. Seeing you point out older games such as “PvZ Battlegrounds” and “Roblox PvZ” kinda hits hard too. As someone who (somewhat) recreated Battlegrounds (also deleted) and “remastered” Roblox PvZ from the ground up, it’s nice seeing you pointing the legacy of PvZ on Roblox. Final thoughts for me, this video was entertaining, fun and even made me think about how I can improve future projects of mine in the future and as an aspiring game developer as well. Great job on this video!

hi uh, i made some art for the game (for example, some of the seed packet decorations scattered around the map, the plant and zombie points) yet i wasnt credited for those, along with other people who contributed to the game, yet wasnt credited. there are also some songs in the game that were from people who werent credited, like the pool map. i think thats all i can say, good video
remembered that really old pvz fangame, i think it's the same one you brought up? i remember it had a "gas" resource and the icon for it was a fart, and you could also just buy this gigantic tree that served no real in-game purpose other than looking cool, and you could stand in it. i fondly remember joining a huge server where some rich dude bought the tree and we just watched the game from above, good times
Someone with 80 wins here, I can 200% agree with this. The balancing? Absolute dogshit. The mode Candyland was meant to be inbetween heaven and hell? Now became harder than hell if not as hard as the brutal mode. All of the old mode balancing was turned down and never updated so it made balancing a living nightmare. Buggy gameplay? Game soft locks at any stage, a very rare backdoor Hijacking causing the game to be shutdown for an entire day, consistent abuse from admins, nearly impossible modes (I see you, Brutal mode) for a new player who just got 15 wins and beat hell mode. I find it fun becausd I can carry people. But the Declining quality of modes, balancing, bug issues, and consistantly whining communities are causing the downfall of the game entirely. Oh and one thing: The rules that they specifically removed and are hidden, same with not very proper crediting, is horrible. They downright hide the rules so people can get banned. The game's become dull. Half of the game's fanbase are toddlers, and the other half are 14+. The bad cooperation, no tutorial, etc. Make the game shit. My opinion? Just go play the IFT game, it's really better. Anyways great video (it mainly explained some of my problems with the game)
It's Fighting Time is also filled with bugs including a massive glitch where you can just walk thru lawns. Also, IFT is a literal p2w, the definition of walking cash cow as every gamepass plant/zombie is extremely broken and the diamonds ones are hella strong too.
Great video I do enjoy the game, but I recognize the many problems Triple Sunflower is the definition of power creep, they think increasing the difficulty just equals "spam every garg at your disposal," some of the modes are terrible, players are hit or miss, buggy, slow, etc. etc. Amazing video
@@BetaSalvationYT The game became worse than before once it got transferred to someone else, I solo everything myself before I didn’t care about PvZ stuffs anymore. I don’t know why can’t they solo like I do, they also wanted me to fix their bugs although I don’t care about the project anymore. They got a “team” it should be better than a solo dev I was. The whole team even don’t know how to managed to fix code issue. They also blamed some glitches was my code issues although it was never been like that before. It obviously happened after I transferred ownership. Also I don’t see the point of adding more new functions to the main mode and other modes as extra characters. Most of modes are long to play and literally same, nothing is difference. I can give you example. “Same main mode, but rain”, “same but bigger flowers” they ran out of creativity, the original game isn’t even like that. It became really boring. I am not really a fan of nz or ift at all. I find both boring. I am a fan of ss more but too bad if it has more contents before DMCA, it would have been a good game.

I'm fine with the Zombie eating player thing since it's intended, but yeah, bad teammates does make the cooperative nature of the game frustratingly awful.

I personally like this game and agree with many of your points the game is really buggy like when garg throws an imp inside your house and you lose or you get soft locked if that happens you would have report it in discord wait for a admin one time i got soft locked at the end of ice level and had to wait 45min. Trollers are also a problem spawning zombies or digging up plants though you can report it and a admin might show up. Note some zombies are supposed to go on the dark lane but still some get there due to a bug

hi im an admin for nz and the discord and i just wanted to clear some things up about the moderation / admin team. we are trying to get rid of admin abusers or inactive admins but there really isnt many. we do our job and moderate to our ability, people trolling (like spamming gold shovel), exploiting, bug abusing, spamming zombies, and doing any other bannable offense are caught and dealt with. people can make tickets and report these people in the server and we deal with it everytime. the admin team is NOT bad, it just needs some improvements. no admins bully other players either. most people saying that the admin team is bad are either ex admins that got demoted for doing something bad or 8 year olds that don't know how to act. the admin bullying thing you mentioned in the video was a old screenshot as well. admin team isnt perfect, but we are trying to make it better

Yeah this game is super super unbalanced lol, they basically force you to pay for the 100 Sun game pass, because they spawn Gargs after Pool, they even spawn Giga as well, it’s super super hard, I only beat the game twice, with good people, it’s not possible to beat it without some super good people. Actually, the difference between modes and minigames, is that minigames are stuck to the normal map and zombies, while modes can do whatever the hell they want such as crazy map, slowing players, or insanely op zombies.

I got vague memories about NZ old version but I think when I first played it the button prompts took a while to register if the server lasted long enough idk if the new version resolved this issue, or tunnnn fixed it himself additionally I remember playing the older versions of IFT where the game used free model swords and items, it was a weird sort of ironic fun, i even owned a badge for the second version that literally turned me into death pea and let my fly around using a hyper laser reskin and an invisible magic carpet (if given plant food)
I also remember grinding on the 3rd version of ift lol, probably a tedious waste of time where I overload on a crapton of plant food then spam marigold grinding wins is tedious, you get to choose all the zombies from every world once you owned 1k wins apparently (I did not have those) grinding rgd 365 crowns is better than this (I own 311)
well i gotta say, most of tunnnn projects are undercooked and laggy. coding is kinda hard to get used to when Roblox out of all plantforms is the one that you choose
I miss the old version of nostalgic zone. I know it was laggy and hell mode was extremely unbalanced, but nowadays, there are just reskins of zombies. There was going to be dev mode, which would have a total of 20 waves (10 waves for normal mode, and 10 waves for b side, which is a harder version of normal mode). The reskins were just shadow zombies with different eyes and more health. I am an admin in the game, and I hate it when lag happens.

(like they added the pults, magnet shroom and two mode plants) but now THE MODERN UPDATES SUCKKS. like they added pointless gargs, the zombie spawn is STUPIDLY UNFAIR, they spammed LITERAL WE SMASH ZOMBIES, and it is not even possible anymore. even the ice level update kinda sucks too. especially the 2 new roof levels. like i get what your saying man, like its not very good (i kinda like the game cause yk, purge but also a good game in general) but the mechanics need a good change. Reminiscing games that were better back then before specific updates doesn't really constitute as a 'hate comment'. It's more so just harkening back to a time when games were better. I'm sure that the days when NZ was still under tunnnn was better (although I get conflicting statements about that), but I wasn't aware of NZ's existence during that time and so I mostly ended up playing what is the equivalent to literal feature bloating.

hi im an admin for nz and the discord and i just wanted to clear some things up about the moderation / admin team. we are trying to get rid of admin abusers or inactive admins but there really isnt many. we do our job and moderate to our ability, people trolling (like spamming gold shovel), exploiting, bug abusing, spamming zombies, and doing any other bannable offense are caught and dealt with. people can make tickets and report these people in the server and we deal with it everytime. the admin team is NOT bad, it just needs some improvements. no admins bully other players either. most people saying that the admin team is bad are either ex admins that got demoted for doing something bad or 8 year olds that don't know how to act. the admin bullying thing you mentioned in the video was a old screenshot as well. admin team isnt perfect, but we are trying to make it better

Yeah this game is super super unbalanced lol, they basically force you to pay for the 100 Sun game pass, because they spawn Gargs after Pool, they even spawn Giga as well, it’s super super hard, I only beat the game twice, with good people, it’s not possible to beat it without some super good people. Also noticed you bought the pass, why? Why waste your Robux on that? Use them for something actually worth Robux.

normal mode is not hard, they dont force you to pay for the vip, you have just skill issue lol, i already soloed normal mode without other modes plants, but ye, the game is trash
Actually, the difference between modes and minigames, is that minigames are stuck to the normal map and zombies, while modes can do whatever the hell they want such as crazy map, slowing players, or insanely op zombies.

I got vague memories about NZ old version but I think when I first played it the button prompts took a while to register if the server lasted long enough
idk if the new version resolved this issue, or tunnnn fixed it himself
additionally I remember playing the older versions of IFT where the game used free model swords and items, it was a weird sort of ironic fun, i even owned a badge for the second version that literally turned me into death pea and let my fly around using a hyper laser reskin and an invisible magic carpet (if given plant food)
I also remember grinding on the 3rd version of ift lol, probably a tedious waste of time where I overload on a crapton of plant food then spam marigold
grinding wins is tedious, you get to choose all the zombies from every world once you owned 1k wins apparently (I did not have those)
grinding rgd 365 crowns is better than this (I own 311)
well i gotta say, most of tunnnn projects are undercooked and laggy. coding is kinda hard to get used to when Roblox out of all plantforms is the one that you choose

I miss the old version of nostalgic zone. I know it was laggy and hell mode was extremely unbalanced, but nowadays, there are just reskins of zombies. There was going to be dev mode, which would have a total of 20 waves (10 waves for normal mode, and 10 waves for b side, which is a harder version of normal mode). The reskins were just shadow zombies with different eyes and more health. I am an admin in the game, and I hate it when lag happens.
(not a hate comment for the game) Dawg imma be honest, i dont think nz was bad at the christmas update. (like they added the pults, magnet shroom and two mode plants) but now THE MODERN UPDATES SUCKKS. like they added pointless gargs, the zombie spawn is STUPIDLY UNFAIR, they spammed LITERAL WE SMASH ZOMBIES, and it is not even possible anymore. even the ice level update kinda sucks too. especially the 2 new roof levels. like i get what your saying man, like its not very good (i kinda like the game cause yk, purge but also a good game in general) but the mechanics need a good change. I absoolutly agree w you.
Reminiscing games that were better back then before specific updates doesn't really constitute as a 'hate comment'. It's more so just harkening back to a time when games were better.
I'm sure that the days when NZ was still under tunnnn was better (although I get conflicting statements about that), but I wasn't aware of NZ's existence during that time and so I mostly ended up playing what is the equivalent to literal feature bloating.
