Vicksburg, Michigan
next to the Grand Trunk Western CN railroad tracks
On the former Grand Rapids & Indiana or Pennsylvania/PC tracks
AT&SF CS-2734 is in raised letters on the ASF Ride Control Trucks
Walking through caboose AT&SF CS-2734 which was built for the Atchison, Topeka & Santa Fe Railway. It was then sold to the Grand Trunk Western.
This steel caboose was retired by GTW in 1995.
The interior of the caboose was restored and remodeled in 2010. - Авто/Мото
I would live in that as a home.
I use to make a lot of coffee on these old stoves, the coal box is behind it. The Brakeman and Conductor were in the Caboose. Wonderful memories.
L.D. Wood lucky bastard
One job I truly would have loved to have. You are a lucky man.
An good place for Hobo Shoestring!!!
Awesome walkthrough. Thanks for sharing 👍
Thank you for watching.
I have two more recent and longer walk through videos of the caboose.
@@AndrewNeilFalconer will have to check them out
That caboose is pretty nice on the inside, I like the lanterns!

Would have been like being at the camp with the boys every day.
Greetings from Paradise..
Your weather has to be more stable than what is happening here.
Retired railcar & former freight train tail end.
Would make a nice house.
There might be some more cabooses from the SOO LINE for sale.
CS 2734?
That was the number on the trucks. They might not be the exact trucks for this cabose.
it was a second-hand caboose from the Santa Fe. The trucks might not match the exact caboose.
Has it bathroom?
Yes.
Too short. You are rushhh...
When the people at the Historical Society open the caboose to the public, once again, I would be able to record a longer video.

In a hurry

say something
Do you mean that I should narrate the video?
@@AndrewNeilFalconer so many interesting things there , you need to say how awesome everything looks
@@MrUranium238 I would have to narrate everything when they reopen someday.
This is the most annoying camera work I have ever seen in a long while. And it's not even portrait format.
I had actually been _searching_ for this exact content. But you never linger on any one shot long enough to actually take it in. It's like you're talking but ending all your sentences half way without finishing, then immediately starting the next one.
Please learn the basics, the "grammar" of filming. To avoid confusing the viewer, you start any _sequence_ with a _wide establishing shot_ that sets the _entire_ scene ("The caboose from the outside", "interior of the caboose") and then you can move closer and closer to details, and pan over them. At least until you're David Lynch or somebody.
Like the intro of _Last of the Mohicans,_ you know?
This is the original version. Data speeds were slow.
I have a newer video of the caboose.
This is a longer video.
