I’ve worked for a owner of a plumbing company. Years ago. And he said send me someone with a FING BRAIN 🧠. With this remodel, it shows you the amount of brains that were involved in this and should’ve costed more for the homeowner to make it right.
more like, just capped the pipes and had no clue how it works, maybe the same issue on 2nd floor? lol the guy was saying something about radiators removed there or they hired an actual skilled company to bypass them. 🤣 probably thought they were saving money on a plumber having the tile guy do it. lol
That Honeywell Thermostat has an anticipator. NEVER jump the red and white wires of a thermostat circuit when it has an anticipator in the thermostat. You burn out the fine wire on the anticipator when you jump out the circuit. Always remove one wire on the thermostat circuit before jumping out the thermostat.
Absolutely wrong. Ohms law proves it’s fine and the only additional reason why it would matter is obsolete. For one - ohms law states...in parallel...voltage stays the same and amperages divide...not add For two - If you jump out the thermostat when you remove the jumper, the magnetic field collapses in the gas valve coil and produces back emf, that is what takes out the anticipator, like the spark from an auto coil. But conditions have to be just right. That is only on older style gas valves that are not manufactured anymore. Additionally, that label that tells you not to jump wires on some thermostats is likely a result of one person accidentally shorting R to C on a thermostat that had a clock. Not because it had an anti capacitor.
@@DCHVAC The Honeywell thermometer in question comes out of the box with a white sticker with a warning to NEVER JUMP THE THERMOSTAT because doing so will burn out the thermostat. I have replaced hundreds of them because customers have done just that.
We had plumbers come for my sisters boiler who lived below my family and one worker got told today was his last job so he cut and capped our heating pipes not even my sisters and then left. The boss had to come back at midnight to fix it in the middle of winter. I was like its nice he cut and capped pipes that had nothing to do with your job. My boiler and my sisters boiler was 2 feet apart.
Unbelievable! Don't need heat in bathroom. so you cap the pipes instead of just continue the loop with out baseboard? How about a piece of dummy baseboard with just a copper pipe running through instead of fins? Ohhh, didn't think of that! LoL!
lol, had a landlord change windows on the building, at the last moment got ones that don't open, solid glass, for the bathrooms to save monies. bubby... no permits
How the hell. This is what happens when people hire your fly by night contractors.. they knew what they were doing. Someone’s gonna get paid. If not you then they are.
I went to a service call last week muti family home one of the units were down take the door off to see whats was going on the handy man was there the other day they couldnt get it going not only did he rip the wires off of the 24 volt transformer but he tried to pur jumpers between all the safety switch he jumped roll out the high limt and the pressuer switch called the landlord told to never let that joke of a maintenance man touch another unit he could have killed some one so i replaced the stepdown fixed all the safty switches replaced the glow fly testef my pressure at the gas valve made sure there was nothing else wrong and got payed triple
Really, that will be an easy fix. The contractor cut 2 exposed pipes, and they remain exposed once the wall, behind the bathroom, is opened. So settle in your chairs, and have a beer and quit the throwing empty bottles onto the field. Not wanting heat in the bathroom remains a mystery.
😂😂😂😂😂 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣. Lol someone is going to bite the bullet on this one !! A carpenter contractor in N.Y. Can mess with plumbing? 😮 (AN it sounds like the wife told him to remove it? ) 🤦♂️🤦♂️ lol like I said someone is going to to bite a big bullet an sound to me is the home owner!! This is what happens when people that don’t know what they’re doing mess around with things they have no idea! 🤷🏻♂️
One has to well laugh or go insane on this one. Bath done now it gets another redo. Stupidity is very dangerious. I manage a building and its amazing what I have seen.. Landlord used gutter downspouts for dryer vent? vented to the attic.. She didnt want to see piping of normal venting. I told her to add roof venting for dryer and kitchen exhaust fan. nope sure didnt do it. As the roof was redone . Oh its a gass cook srove too. I say whatever.. I only do whats legal and wont come back on me.
I'm disappointed we'll never see the outcome of this. LOL I could probably fix it without digging by rerouting a new pipe to the next in line section. since it's copper(metallic), signal tracing will work to follow it. that could involve building a soffit/boxing in the pipe though.
sounds like Jose, will have his number changed and vanish. 🤣 I wonder where the pipe under concrete would be going to. hmm seems kind of odd to have some exposed and some buried
As an electrician... I would've opened up the closet wall just to see what's going on. His wife won't take the blame for Jose's f-up. Suffolk County consumer affairs has a "wall of shame" of contractors they've caught doing unlicensed work. Different name, new cell #, good as new.
@@peteyc2292 exactly, sine it's seemingly all metallic pipe you can use " common locating/tracing" gear to hook to other end of loop and trace it back to the last radiator/baseboard and figure a way to run a new pipe from closet to that point. maybe surface mount on wall/ceiling and box it in or hide behind crown moulding, etc. granted that's not what an HVAC/R/plumbing company would take on solely. just the plumbing part I could see, assuming they had locating gear. it should all be on the other contractors dime though.
This homeowner is exactly how people act when they bring their car into the repair shop that they’ve tried to work on themselves. So this idiot homeowner decided that he no longer wanted heat in the bathroom what kind of idiot decides that too bad he wasn’t more honest with the plumber I charge him quadruple the amount of money now because of his lies
How is it his fault he told the owner it's not a good idea . Homeowner didn't care. Some homeowners think they know more than you . Therefore sometimes you do it their way 😂
I think he's going to beat his wife or something, it's her fault 🤣🤣🤣 Ya get what ya pay for! Why in the world would you cut and bury a copper pipe that water came out of when you cut it?! Like someone else said, I'll put money on sharkbite caps being there! And that pipe wasn't cut any shorter than was needed to cover with the tile.
I have nothing to do with this customer whatever but I’m sitting here just absolutely fuming because that fucking illegal on the phone knew what he was doing. He’s trying to blame it on the wife.
Its Jose fault , ok so they dont want heat in the bathroom understandable so why not put a piece of pipe to continue the loop so the rest of the place has heat after removing rhe radiator , but nooo he had to cap them off lmao what a hack Iol 😂

Gotta do a follow up when JOSE does his thing haha! Hopefully ya get him on video so we all can meet him😂
Stupid is as stupid does !!!! I don’t know how you do it my friend !!!!
Never a dull moment amazing
Amazing !
I assume Jose didn't know that Hose A should have connected with Hose b
I'm guessing that guy thought the loop could be Bluetooth! What some bull
lmao
Sharkbite caps under that floor
Guaranteed. Lmfao
There's nothing wrong with Sharkbites. They've been around for years.... Sarcasm intended.
"I did what the home owner told me to do" lol
wife is in BIG trouble.
Proving once again, the customer is not always right.
The customer is always right, in the matter of taste. Otherwise, they're wrong.
Im pretty sure JOSE was thinkin that its a MONOFLOW system.

"The lady say I dont need, so I CUT!!" LMFAO
Wow! That was worth the price of admission! Holy moly
"I Only Capped the 2 pipes" ......Only......
Great job Mike
I’d pay to see this whole ordeal play out lol
Well Jose asked homeowner if he needed heat in the bathroom. He said no. Too bad Jose didn’t know about the loop.
you have a happy thanksgiving to you and your family
I bet this is the last time that contractor messes around with a hydronic heating system. Somebody gonna get a big bill here.
Your good people Mike
That right there is why Jose got the job.
I don’t need no stinking permit! 🤣🤣🤣🤣
I can hear the wiz of oz song.. If i only had a brain.........
mike is the man.
it blows my mind how many homeowners have zero clue about the mechanicals in the house they live in.
Yeah, it really is sad Come on.

Cold thanksgiving for Mr Patel!
Happy holidays!

If youre a contractor and dont know how HVAC systems work, CALL AN HVAC PERSON 🤦
Winner winner, chicken dinner

TANK UPSIDE DOWN? IS THAT OK ON THE BOILER
Wanna spend 1k to replace it?
It's fine, they're not like domestic water expansion tanks.
Jose the plumber passing the blame on the homeowners wife. Doesn't take any blame for it. Homeowner can sue him for the bill.
Yeah right.

Those two were hilarious
Is it Necessary to have Heat on the First Floor ? 🤪👎
But they were the Lowest Bid for the Job. 💩👎
A lot a hacks in your neck of the woods. 😂. A lot of stacks 💵💵💵
Unfortunately that's getting to be the case more and more not just where he is. More and more hacks every day.

Mikey pipes who caps pipes in concrete no heat, hacks bring Stacks
No Ma"s.
I'd dig with a mini excavator. Too bad that they capped it. Water would have been easy to find if left open.
