One tip that I have started using is instead of pressing space bar to play through, press your L key and it plays back at a faster speed (you can press it again to speed it even faster). I edit a hour long (sometimes longer) podcast and it cuts down on the editing time. Also change the playback resolution if your computer has troubles playing the videos.

Thank you for putting this fantastic tutorial together, I did have trouble following how exactly you did certain things (had to youtube other videos) like where you clicked or the short cuts you used but otherwise this video was great
A lot of editors simply cut the long-form landscape master into short & tall (whoa, that phrase sounds weird but is totally legit in todays video world) format for multi-purposing content. I believe the short & tall videos benefit from their own multicam edits as the composition changes from landscape to vertical.
Thanks for this video! I CAN'T FIND THE ANSWER TO THIS QUESTION: Is it possible to keep the same "audio track mixer" settings when I copy and paste clips from my podcast sequence to my social media vertical sequence? Would really appreciate your tips on this, you rock!
Great video Omar! Unfortunately I couldn't follow. I'm literally a level 1 beginner when it comes to editing and some things you did were a bit too quick or I didn't know what you meant and I stay stuck. Any tips from anyone in this comment section on how I can get better?
Great walkthrough. Question about why you would export and upload separate audio file rather than just using anchor with the video (so i uploads video to spotify) and then let ancho rss the rest in audio automatically for you. maybe one less step. and also allows you to edit the shownotes or whatever and update across all the platforms at once. have you used davinci and how do you compare and contrast those. watching you work makes me wish i didnt spend on davinci even though i have it down path now, but initially (since i am no video editing technician) it was a little painful… but still really powerful. thanks

Awesome video! very helpful - is this still the best way to do it in 2024 with all the AI software? I've got a Rodecaster Duo, some cameras and mic's and have been trying to find a solution for in-person podcasts where it all connects and records to my macbook, but - am I assuming correctly that with video podcasts in-person its easiest to just record video on the camera, audio on the rode caster, no computer involved, then add all my files to premiere pro, and edit there afterwards?
With this workflow, I would go back in the Show In Timeline panel and copy the section of what clips you want to have on screen at the same time, then paste it on your timeline that includes your Multicam sequence. Either hide or delete the section from the multicam sequence. With your 2 pasted clips, you'll be able to scale them in the effects control panel or add a crop effect on each layer. Hope that helps!
very new to video editing so If I sound like a novice, its because I am. I'm attempting to select a clip from the long edit to make a social media clip like you're demonstrating in this video and I'm having trouble actually grabbing the clip to copy and paste. could anybody please walk me through the best way to execute this as far as what tool to use and how to do it properly?
YOu can use AUTO Reframe in the effects (CMD 7) Panel. to reframe head in the centre of the screen while creating Vertical videos from long form. You are Welcome :)
Hello Omar, thanks for the cool video. Just one thing in the real time cut part, which button do you use on the keyboard when the video is running? or do you just click on the frames of videos 1,2 and 3 to make automatic cuts?
I tried to do the Multicam thing but all the colour grading and framing edits I made got undone when it put all my videos into multicam sequence. Any tips on how to fix that? :/
Quick question! What if your audio for whatever reason doesnt sync and you have to match the files manually? Is it still possible to do the multi cam cut thing ? (1, 2, 3)

Valuable Stuff. Thanx alot for the share.
Bro God bless you, this video is clutch
When you cut by clicking 1,2,3 etc is there a way to have it cut so that it's split screen instead of one individual shot?
So pretty much what you're saying is that we don't need an atem extreme ISO 🤔 ...or even an atem at all unless we're live streaming. 😁
Thanks Omar!

Solid. How can I put the two solo clips on screen at the same time? Either side by side in horizontal, or one on top of the other in vertical?
With this workflow, I would go back in the Show In Timeline panel and copy the section of what clips you want to have on screen at the same time, then paste it on your timeline that includes your Multicam sequence.

Hello - quick question - just to clarify, around 3:50 You are live editing the interview by pressing the keys 1,2,3 depending on what angle you want ?

This is so good. Are there other apps that can do thr same thing ? Such as cap cut?
Some times when im playing the video, it does not cut even though I am clicking 1 2 and 3. Am I missing something?

Is there anything like autopod AI for Final Cut?
How were you able to sync the audio and video without selecting "Timecode" or "In and Out Points" in the multi-cam settings tab that popped up?

is the camara connected to the microphones?
Which app you were used to
great information guys, a quick question? can this be done in LumaFusion?
Not yet…they say it’s “coming”, but that was last year….and we’ll have to pay for it. I mean technically you can, but it’s all manual cuts
You have three cameras rolling at the same time?
this feature works on Final Cut
so do you have 3 cameras recording at once
