😏 This recipe brings back fond memories of a dear friend of mine. I never knew where she originated from but seeing this, it very well could have been Mississippi. I did not grow up eating pig feet but I developed a taste for barbecue pig feet after the mother of my church urged me just to try hers. My aunt cooked them on the stove and to me they were just boiled skin and fat. When made like this they maintain some texture and flavor and they are delicious and whenever I make them, I do it like this. Yes Lord ! God is Good . Grand maw Dee, I went to Mississippi a few months back . I help a friend drive there. Once in Indianola ,Mississippi we can across a little cafe . I sat sitting in the truck but my hunni was like you need to get down & see this place . I was like no... Grand maw Da-thy when I tell you , I got up in there & met the owners & order a little of Every thing on the menu & the blues was playing in the background & the conversation about how the ate Pig Ear sandwich - I said WHAT ? A WHAT KIND OF SANDWICH. LORD I heard story's. Story's of BbKing going there to eat & Food combinations like they serve Catfish with spaghetti and a salad but here in Louisiana we serve catfish with potato salad. I even ate a fried green tomatoe & Rib tips & even drank Moodshine LOL . Granny Dathy I didn't want to go in the place but once in there I didn't want to leave . I swear I seem like I know those good people all my life. That was one trip I will forever remember & cherish I really enjoyed myself..... so of course we talked about the pig feet the pig ears and how when they were coming up they use every part of the pig and me being from California never ate nothing like that so I will buy your cookbook and I'm going to make your dishes and eat the pig feet and pig ears with her first time and share it on Facebook I'm loving your videos I just came across them tonight well I've been looking at your videos for hours it's 2 a.m. now Louisiana time my mother lives in California so I will tell her about you in the morning much love to you be blessed and I shall text you again I didn't put any punctuations if my text I'm so excited, remembering , my trip to the Deltas . A WHAT KIND OF SANDWICH. LORD I heard story's. Story's of BbKing going there to eat & Food combinations like they serve Catfish with spaghetti and a salad but here in Louisiana we serve catfish with potato salad. I even ate a fried green tomatoe & Rib tips & even drank Moodshine LOL .
