I bought this 20years, months ago in white colour and still not driving it yet but before I own MK7.5 Special edition and that Akrapovic exhaust when upshifting sounds much better , I think this petrol particular filter on 20years make this sound ugly
Completely agree, the mk7 R was too bland to drive. this looks like it could be a better car though
I'd still have a GTI over a R, more engaging behind the wheel

“Pocket Rocket” suggests smaller cheaper performance cars …… sadly this is a much diminished sector. My partner has a Hyundai i20N which ticks the box of “Pocket Rocket”. Have you tried one?
I'm hopefully that Hyundai will loan me one in the near future, currently in talks with them, fingers crossed David

@@PocketRockets I hope that you succeed in being lent one. I have 22 reg Audi RS3, which whilst a lovely vehicle is just nothing like as much fun to drive as the Hyundai, which is remarkably practical. You see very few Hyundai i20Ns on the road…. Sad that. Even the RS3 is effectively no longer available in RHD form.
I'm looking forward to it as I'm a Ford guy and have driven quite a few Mk8s, so it'd be good to see how the i20N compares

I think what he stated about the EU 20th Golf R is correct. If you're looking for stats versus the U.S. 20th Golf R, they will be slightly different.

Love cars but hate automatic gears 😂 i think actual driving guys prefer the manual but the posers and show off's prefer the automatic 😂
Well I have the best of both worlds
M140i with 8 speed ZF and the ST180 with the 6 speed IB6 and another manual that I may have bought that will be announced soon
