I always tell people never call the cops the calm something down unless you want someone in cuffs

Almost. Impossible to get charges laid against an abuser in Alberta... Maybe the victim needs to land in the hospital first. Call or meet the cops anytime after the assault or terror and they all just say the same thing. Get an emergency protection order.... But does not Mtter how strong evidence is.. Photos, witnesses, evidence..... No arrests unless maybe the victim can manage to call the cops during the attack. They don t even investigate.. Don t even pretend to investigate. So my question is... Do we need to hire a criminal lawyer to use legal means to get charges laid??? What other lawyer would be of any use?
Without criminal release conditions like no contact abuser is free to co tinue his threats and injury against victim. Civil lawsuits might be possible but also useless. So what can a lawyer do for a victim who wants charges laid.... Other than threaten police with some legal responsibility??
Its such bullshit how the " justice " system works . Laying charges for no fkin reason . Absolute bullshit
