In this final question-and-answer segment, a member of the audience asks about the Wang Jingwei “diary” and the works of Wang’s associates, and where these various works are kept. Professor Hsu informs us that the Wang Jingwei “diary” is really an appointment book, now kept at the Shanghai Library. Professor Chiu goes on to discuss the gaps in our understanding because of missing archival material; the fact that Chen Bijun’s “confession” is excluded from the published testimonies of other defendants in the notorious trials of Wang Jingwei regime is a stark example.
