The TeraFlex Forged Dual Rate S/T Swaybar System is the most advanced manual swaybar disconnect systems available. With its easy engagement knob you can go from street to trail in seconds - literally! The Dual Rate S/T Swaybar System gives you the best of both worlds. Dennis takes us by the hand step by step through the install. - Авто/Мото
I’ve run this setup since 2012 and swear by it.
I just got mine ordered, can't wait to get it installed!
What a greatly done video.
Great install video. Thanks Dennis!
Thanks!
Love the videos!
I have this on my 06 rubicon and absolutely love it, i also have the Currie antirock on the 08 JKU and between the 2 teraflex is better because you can adjust it back for street driving. I wonder if they ever fixed the problem they had with control arm bushings.
I wish they came up with a fix for the nob. I have 3.5 backspace on my rims and every time I go wheeling my tire hits the knob and disingages it. I run 37 12.5 17 and on forums I'm not the only one. 800 bucks is a lot for a sway bar that only works half the time. When I called teraflex I was told to run wheel spacers. Which to me is crazy. I am within the guidelines if what they suggest and still problems. Like I said whish they would come up w a fix.
Now that I've seen that install a few times, wouldn't it be neater to just drill a hole into the chassis frame the size of the bushing?
Given that this mounts in the factory crash bar, is there any known interference with any manufacturer's crash bar skid plates?
Do you guys make one for the rear as well?
So which is better ? dual rate steet/ trail or swaybar disconnects?
Would’ve been much better had they shown it perform to show engaged vs disengaged. Street performance vs rock crawling etc...anyone can read instructions, we want to see how something performs especially for the prices you guys charge. Seems like you should do more testing to see how you can get your prices down. For example the full float conversion, who’s gonna spend 2k on a 2k axle and still have weak tubes and shafts
Does this fit a JL if not make one for the JL it’s time😊
So when is one coming for the jl. Currie makes a decent one but its not dual rate which makes the Rubicons electric disconnect useless. I'm sure a system can be made to still reuse that and be dual rate because of it.
whats price of install parts n labor
Wow. Use your face? I had to use my biggest deadblow to get it through one bushing and resorted to an air hammer to get it through the other bushing. Doesn’t slide in easily like shown.
Why are you still using standard size bolts when every other bolt on the Jeep is metric?
Make for the JL
Does this work with the rubicon electronic sway bar? Or does it need to be removed?
Jonathan tirado The Rubicon system and this system would not be compatible together.
Lol: "Use your face."
Hey Dennis. Is Teraflex going to be making a rear sway bar?
homeguy4 TeraFlex has 0-3" #1754700 and a 4"-6" #1754705 rear swaybar for the JK.
teraflexsuspensions Is there a video coming soon?
They have one but it’s a single rate trail sway bar. I’d love a dual rate one. Running a Hellwig for now.
The crash bar being cut completely off is the first mod for any JK. Why would a sway bar reuse that massive piece of junk? Glad I went with the Currie.
I thought this one has been uploaded before
It was up like a week or two ago then they took it down and put it back up.
I still love them
Any defferinces with anti
Similar style. Both are great upgrades to the factory setup.
So this is not for anyone who's done a frame chopped bumper...
Funny you say this...
I found this video, as I was searching for a solution.
I have a single rate Teraflex, sitting on my garage floor. I also have a Poison Spyder BFH II (frame chop, removed crash bar) bumper. I thought to just make a mount for the bushing tubes, and run it. However, it looks like it'll hang too low under the bumper AND I'll rub my 37" tire on the bars.
I wish it was mounted in the stock location(s). It'd be so much easier, but I also know it wouldn't work the same with shorter bars.
I'm going to see just what to do over this coming weekend. Calling Teraflex tomorrow to see if I can still return it ONCE I pound the bushings in the tube and the sway bar through the bushings. If they say "NO", I'll box it back up and return it... and go another route
As an owner of many teraflex products, this one looks like it was a major flop.
We have actually had great results and feedback with this kit. Awesome firmness on-road and that little extra stability off road makes it a great kit for any Jeeper looking for some added control.
Lol im the opposite i loved this but hated their control arm bushings ,coil springs and shocks.
Do they make one for the rear??
Christopher Pelletier Just realized you asked the same question. I'd say by the lack of an answer that the answer is no.
they do but its a single rate sway bar
Why are you still using standard size bolts when every other bolt on the Jeep is metric?
