One of my favorite hunts this entire fall was that bobcat encounter! It wasn't shown but that cat followed the mother and her kits around the woods for 30min after she chased the tom off. Thank you for watching John.

I don’t understand why people feel like they have to holler at a deer. If you hadn’t have got lucky enough for him to stop in an opening he probably would have ran out of there. Hey it all worked out tho congrats!
Thanks for watching Colby! If i can help it, i try not to stop them by bleating if i don't have to. Unfortunately I had a small 6in opening that i needed him to stop at in order for me to have a shot at his vitals, fortunately he stopped perfectly!
Great buck, but this video is a textbook lesson in how to NOT call to a mature buck. You don't call when they are close, especially when the woods is open and they can see the area around your tree. They can pinpoint the your location exactly. When they don't see a deer, they leave. You don't call repeatedly, once they have heard you. They know where you are. Repeatedly calling just makes them nervous and they leave. They know where the sound came from, and many times will cruise back through later in the day looking for that deer. Unpressured deer in IA are a different breed. Anywhere else in the country you don't get unlimited chances at the same mature buck.
Hey Stephen, I couldn't agree more with your words on calling when they are close, and how they can pin point your location and how they'll travel back through the area later in the day. I believe i mentioned that after calling at him the first time on Nov 8. Unfortunately in the video you cant tell how far the buck is, most times he is over 100yds away through timber and the second snort wheeze on the Nov 8 hunt didn't happen at that time it was shown in the video, it was just edited that way. Y’all are great but it’s not what it was. I have a video production degree and y’all had it… and now you have some of it
