Hello gorgeous family, we just transferred 2 beautiful little embryos Wednesday! I go the 27th for a blood pregnancy test. Praying hard that both these little embies stick. Hoping I get to make a video like this!

I can’t believe after all you’ve been through, Rachel, you were standing there so calm, washing their hair for the first time. You are so strong! I never had children, but had a total hysterectomy at 43 years old and that was sooo painful! I always brag on Brad, it seems, but you are a remarkable mother and woman. 💝💪🏻 Praying for many happy, healthy days ahead! 🙏

I've had a baby, via c-section, and when I had my hysterectomy, (vertical incision) I wondered how I managed a newborn after surgery. My mom was younger and able to help out after the c-section, but still...don't know how I did it.
I did go into my hysterectomy extremely anaemic...I had an iron infusion after and almost needed a transfusion. That and a vertical incision made it harder, I think.
I'm so sorry you've had so much pain with this delivery. I hope you heal quickly, Alexandra and Ada are so cute! I get to cuddle my newborn Grandson from 3 am to 9 am, it's the best, I love newborn cuddles!
The babies are adorable. Better to stay another day than have to do back after being home. Take your pain med if you need it as it makes it easier to walk and function better. I wish you well.

After my second c section it took me about four months to be able to stand straight up from sitting position. Normally i would be hunched over and slowly stand up straight .

The girls are so cute congratulations to you both. You said, Rach that you were doing a lot of standing because of getting stuck if you sit too long. Been there done that with both issues and my feet swell if I stand too long. Some hospitals have a device to put on the patients legs or feet when they’re in bed to prevent clots. Ask the nurse if they have that device for whenever you’re in bed as it will either massage the lower extremities to include feet and calves. These girls are so sweet. 💕❤️
I had abdominal surgery 4 times within a 3 year span. After one of those surgeries, I had one of those set ups with leg wraps that inflated on a timer. They made my legs so sweaty and itchy they had to ditch'em because I was getting a rash and the nurses didn't want to be bothered with bathing my legs to get rid of the sweat every time they took them off to let them "air out". Then with another of the surgeries, no leg wraps, but they did have me hooked up to a morphine pump ..... that was the 4th and final surgery. It was interesting how I rarely press the button for another hit of morphine, even on the day of surgery. I was quite comfortable and pain free. One of the nurses actually tried to force me to use the morphine even though I was having no pain. Every time I was in that hospital, the post op routines were different.

The girls are gorgeous!! How much did they weigh & how long! They look pretty big for twins. My twin was 4.8lbs. & I was 4.0. I had to stay at the hospital for 2 weeks. Was called the princess by the nurses lol. I’m going back many moons ago. I’m a grandmother to 8 now

Alexandra was 7# 1 oz. and Ada was over 5#'s, fraternal twins.
No. Two separate embryos were implanted.
@@smithface8791 she has said in an earlier vlog they won’t know till after birth if identical. Just because they implanted two embryos and they got two babies, doesn’t mean that they’re fraternal/both embryos stuck. One embryo could’ve not stuck and one embryo could’ve split resulting in identical twins
My legs, face and arms got swollen after each of my 3 births. It took about 3-5 days to clear each time

Every time I see Alex and Ada, I have a de ja vu of Bear and Lyndle being that small, it's amazing how much similarities the girls have with their older set of twin siblings. They are absolutely precious and a huge congratulations - Englebarts Party of 7.

I had to wear these crazy leg compression pump wraps after all my c sections to keep my swelling down. Hopefully they did something like that to get that fluid moving

Fun fact: you can tell how long a baby has been in the womb by the amount of vernix left on them. The less vernix the longer gestation. My full term baby only had a little bit of vernix left on the creases of her groin.

As an old retired post partum nurse, I absolutely dislike the new trend of not bathing babies and washing their hair. Nothing like handing a new mom a freshly bathed baby.
I think as time has gone on, it shows it’s best for the babies skin to not be washed right away. Both of my babies didn’t get a bath until day two.
But everyone has their own preference😊

I had like bad period pain after hysterectomy/section but was on pain meds too. I didnt really notice the pain much! They upped them. I was seeing hillucinations so they swapped them. I was told not to pick ip baby but was left looking after her. The hospital did not allow hot meals in ward but i could not walk to dining room for a few days as was too uncomfortable. Had to wee in buckets to show urine output but there was loadsnof blood innit. Had uretha tube in and drain. Five pregnancies and one surviving bay

Just found out today that our DIL is being induced on June 6th...we are so excited... Watching you guys is giving me all the newborn feels...and reminders..its been a while...LoL

It’s interesting how different countries do post delivery different.
My daughter came home the next day after her C-section , here husbands don’t get to sleep or stay overnight at the hospital. Think it’s 8-8 visiting at the one where my grandson was just born.
I think Ada looks like Lyndle and Alexandra looks like Bear. They're both beautiful xx

Just remember… walk slowly; having said that remember to Stand up as Straight as possible It helps. Nurses had to constantly remind me. It helped with keeping things limber. If that makes sense. I’m hoping you had a horizontal incision. Otherwise if not, I not sure 🤔 if that’s gonna help. Hope this makes sense. My last C-Section was 31 years ago. LOL
Oh Rachel your poor legs again, hope everything settled down and you didnt have to stay an extra day in the hospital. Real trooper for washing the babies hair, even when in pain - such a strong woman :) I really think Alexandra looks like Bear, their hair is so fluffy lol Not good to leave the pain meds out of your system, best to try to keep them topped up, but it is hard when you are trying to rest - issues of motherhood xx
