      @@CATCHAHAWG I like orange head, black body chartreuse tail & wing.
      Also, Chartruese head, gold flash body, chartreuse tail and white wing. But I mostly choose colors based off water clarity and conditions. I do think pink is good in cold water, orange in early spring and Chartruese as you move towards later spring and summer tho. That’s what makes most since to me and is the story I tell myself lol. How bout you?

    I fished a few bridges and felt those shad bumps today, good fishing! I watched a guy limit out with minnows on the bank while I was jig fishing in the yak last week 🤣

      Yeah during the spawn it’s hard to beat those minnows. Those darn things sure have got expensive around here.

    Pretty nice crappie. I have been on Bob Sandlin this weekend. Tried some brushpiles. Caught more smalls than anything, but still found some females with eggs. I would have figured they would have all spawned by now. I guess I was wrong. Lol.

      Yeah all the fish I’m catching out in 25 ft still have eggs too. This weather has been nuts lol They might still be spawning in June at this rate lol

    You finally found em' man!! I'm always afraid to cast around brush and weeds because I hate getting hung - I usually go vertical in those areas but it spooks the crappie too

      Yeah I got lucky and found some shallow . I’ve been sacking them up in 22 to 25 ft but wanted to get one more shallow trip in before they’re gone. How’s it been over your way?

    I personally use the road runner jig head and any type of grub tail for shallow crappies

    I use the same lure and if you’re by or under a bridge man it’s on I’ve had maybe 1-2 days under 15. Hands down recommend getting this lure but get white

    Those drum will eat just like bass when they get the chance, caught a 6 pounder on a 1/2 ounce football jig one time.

      @@bradymeredith3528 yeah I have as well. I’ve found that channel catfish and black bass tend to live in the same areas and eat the same things. I actually had a customer catch a 5 lb bass on that stinky cheese bait lol

    Maybe you better get some lessons from Richard Gene the Fishing Machine....he often uses #2 line,and you're skeered with #6. Hahaha that's damn funniest shit I've heard. If the Cats and bass aren't cutting the line a Crappie sure as shit isn't going to....duh
    Lousy vid,glad I was doing something productive while it played,time wasn't all that wasted.
    I never use a loop knot anyways,at best anyone of them is only going to be around 50% of the line #. If I get snagged I like to straighten my hooks to get it free.
