Stan Lee was the golden standard of how comic book writers and celebrities in general should treat their biggest fans. He was a genuinely good person who loved what he was doing and glad he could share his work with others.
My favorite memory of The Man was when I met him at Alamo City Comic Con in 2014, I was twelve at the time. I had the excelsior pass and got to ask him a question and thank him for everything he’s done for me as he’s helped me escape my trouble at home. He had always been like my grandfather to me and I will never forget him. He also gave my grandma something never to forget as she was battling cancer. Stan Lee him self stood up and leaned in to shake her hand (something he wasn’t supposed to do). That was one of the last times I saw my grandmother smile truthfully before she passed months later. He is my hero and my idol. I mourn for him and i will forever be in debt to him. I will be running to him when my time comes and I hope I will be able to tell him I made my dreams come true as an illustrator and as a True Believe. I only wished I could’ve spent more time to tell him thank you.

Let me explain: Stan Lee as a writer wrote and created many super heroes stories, BUT...The designs of those characters were created by CARTOONIST Jack Kirby and in the case of Spider-Man the design was drawn by ARTIST Steve Dikto. If you don't believe me check it on Internet and confirm it by yourself ! And by the way ...Deadpool was not created by Stan Lee, it was created by Fabian Nicieza and Rob Leifeld back in 1991. Afterwards, when Peter heard words of encouragement from the Human Torch at a school assembly, he decided to go right back into the fight with Doc Ock and got crafty. I love it so much
I'd like to believe in a universe far away another funeral for this great man is being held, with Spider-Man, Iron Man, Mr.Fantastic, Green Goblin , Doctor Doom and Mandarin carrying his coffin.
I owe my entire childhood to this man. Because of his work, through all the pain I've suffered through I knew there was always a reason to get up and fight for someone who couldnt fight for themselves.

There is so much I love about Stan but ill mention one thing specific to my child hood. I adored reading stands soap boxes in the 90's while I grew up.
Some of my favorites that aren’t really talked about is an outtake from Spider-Man one where he tries to sell someone sunglasses, saying they wore them in the X Men movie. Another botched one where he had to say that Spider-Man stole a kid’s sneakers. Overall, the best Stan Lee cameo is either Avengers 1 or Infinity War.
Stan came to Denver comic con once and they were passing out the mic for questions, I was hoping to see what his stance was on the superhero registration act whether for or against. Unfortunately, I will never know.
It's absolutely disgusting how those NPCs SJW in Marvel insulted him the same day that he die, it's just such a good idea, insult one of the best artist in Marvel, it's not like the relationship between actual fans and Marvel is already red hot...

Difficult time for those of us who love this man and his beautiful creations, he was our surrogate comicbook grandfather and many of us knew he probably didn't have much longer to live, but I feel that we all felt him to be somewhat immortal, so now that he has passed, it's become somewhat unreal and difficult to digest. He was one of those rare people who was larger than life, but at the same time felt like a friend even if you never had a chance to meet the man himself, he was a rare breed from a special time that we will never see the likes of again, that being said, his legacy will live on as long as we do and will be passed down from generation to generation, the Legend of Stan Lee, the man who brought comic books to the mainstream who worked tirelessly that they be recognized for what they are, not just books for children, but an art form to be respected, he was the flag bearer, the larger than life, the great man of comicbooks, our friend and grandfather Stan Lee, he will be missed, but never forgotten by us true believers, Excelsior!!!!
