    / madmaxmovie
From director George Miller, originator of the post-apocalyptic genre and mastermind behind the legendary “Mad Max” franchise, comes “Mad Max: Fury Road,” a return to the world of the Road Warrior, Max Rockatansky.
Haunted by his turbulent past, Mad Max believes the best way to survive is to wander alone. Nevertheless, he becomes swept up with a group fleeing across the Wasteland in a War Rig driven by an elite Imperator, Furiosa. They are escaping a Citadel tyrannized by the Immortan Joe, from whom something irreplaceable has been taken. Enraged, the Warlord marshals all his gangs and pursues the rebels ruthlessly in the high-octane Road War that follows.
Tom Hardy (“The Dark Knight Rises”) stars in the title role in “Mad Max: Fury Road”-the fourth in the franchise’s history. Oscar winner Charlize Theron (“Monster,” “Prometheus”) stars as the Imperator, Furiosa. The film also stars Nicholas Hoult (“X-Men: Days of Future Past”) as Nux; Hugh Keays-Byrne (“Mad Max,” “Sleeping Beauty”) as Immortan Joe; and Nathan Jones (“Conan the Barbarian”) as Rictus Erectus. Collectively known as The Wives, Zoë Kravitz (“Divergent”) plays Toast, Riley Keough (“Magic Mike”) is Capable, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley (“Transformers: Dark of the Moon”) is Splendid, and supermodel Abbey Lee is The Dag, and Courtney Eaton is Fragile. Also featured in the movie are Josh Helman as Slit, Jennifer Hagan as Miss Giddy, and singer/songwriter/performer iOTA as Coma-Doof Warrior.
The cast is rounded out by well-known Australian actors John Howard and Richard Carter, supermodel Megan Gale, Angus Sampson, Joy Smithers, Gillian Jones, Melissa Jaffer and Melita Jurisic.
Oscar-winning filmmaker George Miller (“Happy Feet”) is directing the film from a screenplay he wrote with Brendan McCarthy and Nico Lathouris. Miller is also producing the film, along with longtime producing partner, Oscar nominee Doug Mitchell (“Babe”, “Happy Feet”), and P.J. Voeten. Iain Smith, Graham Burke and Bruce Berman serve as executive producers.
The behind-the-scenes creative team includes Oscar-winning director of photography John Seale (“The English Patient”), production designer Colin Gibson (“Babe”), editor Margaret Sixel (“Happy Feet”), Oscar-winning costume designer Jenny Beavan (“A Room with a View”), action unit director and stunt coordinator Guy Norris (“Australia”), and makeup designer Lesley Vanderwalt (“Knowing”).
Warner Bros. Pictures presents, in association with Village Roadshow Pictures, a Kennedy Miller Mitchell production, a George Miller film, “Mad Max: Fury Road.” The film is scheduled for release on May 15, 2015, and will be distributed by Warner Bros. Pictures, a Warner Bros. Entertainment Company, and in select territories by Village Roadshow Pictures.

I know your comment is old, but . . . learn about lucid dreaming.
edit: What does that have to do with Mad Max? Well, when you control your dreams, you control the world inside your mind. Go back in time, erase your memory of the movie, and watch it all over again in the theatres. Also, lucid dreams feel more real than real life itself so the experience will be twice what you originally felt.

      @johnbonaccorsi 9 лет назад +28

DeltaTrolls Skac01 said "[t]he genre didn't truly exist until Mad Max." If "the genre" means, to him, post-apocalyptic science fiction, including video games etc., with the look of these "Mad Max," films, he might very well be right. My own familiarity with science fiction is pretty limited; but when I saw "The Road Warrior," i.e., Mad Max 2, at the time of its initial release, I was stunned. I'd never seen anything like it--and I have seen many, many, many things like it ever since. Mad Max does seem to me, in other words, to have created a genre, even if that genre is only ("only") an astonishingly-successful sub-genre of post-apocalyptic science fiction. I'm not familiar with "Borderlands"; but from the many mentions of it here, at RUclips, among the comments in response to these trailers of "Fury Road," I get the feeling it's a "massive homage to Mad Max," as Skac01 said.

Mad Max Fury Road my review: If you are a fan of the saga go see it now, if you are not...go see it anyways! George Miller the original director returns as the father of post-apocalyptic cinema. The textures and the colours of the movie maintain the atmosphere of the old ones. The action is smart and fast. You will be on the edge of your seat all the time. The designs of the cars are original as fuck. The concept artists and the VFX artists did a great job, an amazing one. The writting is very good. You wouldnt expect such an original screenplay and dialogue from a blockbuster but thats thanks to George Miller and his writters team. The stunts are amazing they did a hell of a job with the camera movements. The characters have each one their own arch. The acting is specific to this kind of world. The world created feels like poetry. Cinematography is punk as hell. Conclusion: 5 stars. A beautiful ride.

To understand, you have to go back to another time. When the world was powered by the black fuel. And the desert sprouted great cities of pipe and steel. Gone now, swept away. For reasons long forgotten, two mighty warrior tribes went to war and touched off a blaze which engulfed them all. Without fuel, they were nothing. They built a house of straw. The thundering machines sputtered and stopped. Their leaders talked and talked and talked. But nothing could stem the avalanche. Their world crumbled. The cities exploded. A whirlwind of looting, a firestorm of fear. Men began to feed on men. On the roads it was a white line nightmare. Only those mobile enough to scavenge, brutal enough to pillage would survive. The gangs took over the highways, ready to wage war for a tank of juice. And in this maelstrom of decay, ordinary men were battered and smashed. Men like Max. The warrior Max. In the roar of an engine, he lost everything. And became a shell of a man, a burnt out, desolate man, a man haunted by the demons of his past, a man who wandered out into the wasteland. And it was here, in this blighted place, that he learned to live again...

I'm contemplating as well. Because of the rave reviews I think they'll make another. Movie was better than I expected and I'm a Mad Max fan

One of the few times the movie turned out as amazing and epic as the trailer made it out to be.

this is easily the best action movie ever made (in my opinion). I dont know of any other movie with more action and explosions that pulls it off so wonderfully. Its like the perfect blend of physical action, and only visual effects where theyre needed. This one sets a new standard for action films.

Take note, Michael Bay: This is how you do explosions right.

Too be honest they need to do a mad max sequel game aswel but better lol give us a proper free roam and with lots of stuff to do to make it never ending have 1000 missions and 1000 side quests and loads of just shit even if your not playing as max as a out sider who has to build his car from scrap metal lying around the game mad max felt short when following the story of how max gets his car back but in furry road it gets destroyed

The other day someone asked on Twitter what the best trailer they'd seen was...specifically a teaser trailer...this came to my mind easily....a classic trailer that blew everyone away without giving away any sort of plot points...just mayhem and a glimpse of the aesthetic.

This is honestly one of the best trailers I've ever seen. It got me super excited for the movie, and even though I've already watched this trailer alone several times now, it still gives me goosebumps. The images and music are blended beautifully, and it gives off just enough of the movie to get you interested but not enough to spoil it. Great job!
