1:43 - Steve and his friends did *not* pose as road crew, they had no need to pose as anything because they just turned up in a van and stole things directly off the actual stage (not a truck outside) where Bowie had been performing, it was the night after the first of two shows so everything was still set up.
How lazy and stupid do you have to be to get that wrong? It's in Steve Jones's autobiography.

@soundofhistory_ they even borrowed a song concept from him "pretty vacant" was thematically based off "blank generation" malcom told Glen to "write something like that".

I like Glen Matlock and think he's underrated, but it confuses me if McLaren asked _him_ to write "something like that" because I thought John Lydon wrote the lyrics, and there's no real musical similarity between the two songs.

@@Eman_PuedamaMidge Ure was nearly a Sex Pistol also. You can look it up on RUclips. The guy who was in New Romantic bands and a guitarist for Thin Lizzy at one point 😂

@@Eman_Puedama It was glen's words from the documentary "thematically based" is the key part of that statement I believe. Something that echo's the same sentiments.
