hi!! i posted my q&a but wanted to answer your question anyway :) i wish i knew how consuming the dental/medical field is. i think for a lot of careers, you can do your job and leave your job at work. but with medical professions, you have to really be interested in what you’re doing and invested in the knowledge you must possess, or it will end up being somewhat unfulfilling. i was under the impression that helping people and making their quality of life better would be the main motivator for me, but as you burnout, it doesn’t outweigh the responsibilities and difficulties you face. so just make sure, its both that you want to help ppl and you love the field of medicine

Were you always set on a certain major/path and have you stuck to it or did you ever change your mind or want to at a certain point? i wanted to answer your questions even tho i posted the q&a vid already! i was set for dental school through my application to undergrad bc i got into the guaranteed admissions program at pitt dental. but, i have neverrr liked bio or chem, so picking my major was tough! i chose econ and neuro as my majors (econ from the start bc i thought it was easy and neuro in my last year bc i found out i loved it). i think once you take a few classes you’ll realize how interested you are, and it’s okay to change paths - your future self will thank you a million times for changing to what makes you happy 💗
